Here I am at age 36 thinking that my weight loss has slowed down due to my age, yet this woman who's more than twice my age managed to lose an insane amount of weight with diligence and consistency. I'm done with the excuses. If she can do it, so can I! God bless this sweet woman :)
Yeah after getting stuck in a vicious cycle of overexercising and eating less I've realised the real secret to losing weight is consistency so whatever you do make sure it's sustainable. Something you can do for a long time. Low impact cardio, weights and calories deficit.
I found this video when I was living in a very unsafe neighborhood with several worsening health conditions in my 20s. I started walking around my apartment everyday and several years later I am much stronger, happier, and my conditions are much more manageable. I appreciate this woman sharing her story. Prior I never thought walking around my apartment "counted". Searched for the video just now because I was reflecting on how much this one video and one woman improved my life. Forever grateful.
Gosh I just fell in love with this woman’s sweet face! What an inspiration. Words can’t express how much she effected me regarding my very poor perspective on weight loss. Both are hard, why not choose healthy hard? Love that. Walking in your living room? No more excuses!
I am 28 years old and I live in a 1 bed room small apartment with my husband. I weigh over 220 lbs and today I started walking from my kitchen to my front door like Jessica did. Ajd I went to the kitchen sink and did squats. I tried the stool step that was probably not the best start lol but ik trying. It's only day 1 for me. But I know I can do it.
While struggling to lose weight and gaining while eating healthy🤔 I stumbled across this video by accident. Jessica has inspired me to start walking my apartment daily. Great idea, especially during these winter months. Thanks MsJessica you’re the MVP!!!🤜🏽🤛🏽💪🏾💪🏾🦵🏾👟🦵🏾👟🏆🏃🏽♀️🥇🏃🏽♀️🏅🏃🏽♀️👍🏽
@@ryangatien6615 Well, since “Movement IS medicine” it helped out in the respect of helping to keep my blood flowing throughout my body and it served pretty good in terms of some light cardio. Weight loss for me depends more on my diet than exercise and I literally have to do extreme dieting to see weight loss, which is still only temporary. It’s been an uphill journey for me especially since the pandemic, but I haven’t and I won’t give up! 😊
I'm 56 now. I learned since I was little that exercise is very important for the body. You don't have to exercise very hard to get benefits from it. Exercise keeps you mobil, and it helps with circulation.
In the summer of 2020 my neighbor walked back and forth on her front porch. Sometimes 15-20 minutes two or three times a day and sometimes up to an hour. She did this for almost 2 years. She totally transformed her body. I told her that i expect to look over at her walking on her porch and she'll disappear because she's worn the boards through. Now she goes to the gym for strength training. I need to get out of my recliner. I've lost six lbs in the past five days. I need to change my ways before its too late.
I'm so glad I came across this. What an amazing role model Jessica is. I walk in my house every day too and have done so since September of 2020. Before I started walking in the house I used to take my dog out around the neighborhood and had done so for years but for some reason certain pet owners began allowing their dogs to run loose and even though my dog was on a leash she was attacked three times within a few weeks span. The last attack was done by a huge mastiff and I had to use pepper spray to get the dog off mine. After that incident I started walking in the house on a treadmill and a few weeks into that while on the treadmill I accidentally fell and fractured my right shoulder. That is what started me walking in my house, just back and forth at a leisurely pace and I walk four miles a day every day. I wear a pedometer so I know my exact mileage at any given time. I even continued doing some of the exercises I was given while in physical therapy to help my shoulder heal correctly and gain strength and flexibility, so a portion of my walking routine includes me using small hand weights to maintain that.
Get yourself a can of pepper spray, walk with it in hand. I walk my dog everyday and dare someone’s dog to enter my personal space aggressively. The spray I have will stop anything with eyes. It doesn’t perm damage the dog but it will stop them in their tracks instantly.
I can relate to you. I need to get my fitbit working again and I'm very careful outside because my dog was also attacked 3 times. And, with all the rain, instead of sitting at the laptop, why don't I walk around my house? Good luck.
Good on her! She’s 100% right.. I walk in my apartment too.. esp on cold or bad weather days. I find it keeps my weight maintained. But my cats love to get underfoot. Lol
You go girl!! I'm 71 and I'm training in FILIPINO MARTIAL ARTS. At 68, I weighed 300 pounds, smoked, drank, and never did a day's excerscise in my life. I'm also stage 4 liver failure due to a stabbing at work..(I'm a retired men's max prison Sgt and got stabbed in a riot.) I hated myself and thought pills were going to be a part of my life. I couldn't find a yoga class so I took TiaChi. My instructor introduced me to fighting with sticks, knives, daggers and swords. Now I'm 71, 160 pounds and can take out a full grown man's throat in 2seconds flat. Yep...the healthier you get.. the less MEAT you want.
I am an 83 year old woman who walks at least 3 miles a day almost every day. I like to get outside to get vitamin D but I also walk in my 2 bedroom apartment often when the weather is to hot or to cold. I also have a Fitbit and keep track of how many steps I take. It’s usually a little over 7000 steps a day. I know most of the people in my apartment complex because of my walking so although it may help in keeping my weight down it’s also a social benefit. I Confess I’ve never had a weight problem and no one else in my family does either so I don’t walk to keep my weight down. I do it for my health and to stay active. You can be thin but still not be in good shape. I enjoyed seeing this video and applaud this lady for her motivation and determination.🎉
Your so inspirational I really am going to start walking my apartment. Its not very big so it won't take long (probably 3-4 mins so no excuse for not doing it. 😄😄
If she can do it... What excuse do we have? In 30 mins my perfectly couch will be picked up and I am going ro build a home gym in my living room. I'll get some comfy chairs for my daughter and I later maybe but we sit and lay enough... We don't need a couch to add to lazyness!
Literally every single website regarding walking and losing weight: you need to brisk walk/power walk in order for it to be effective! Old lady in video who lost tons of weight just walking: "you don't have to go fast.. you just gotta go"
One of the most ignorant comments. So because Grandma ate meat you say that millions of people who don’t eat meat are unhealthy? Dear God - Don’t breed. 🤣
This won’t help anybody that has diabetes, or that is insulin sensitive... any carbohydrates, highly sweet fruits, cereals, breads, pasta, fruit yogurts, will release insulin, and insulin is the fat storing hormone,.. . anything that falls under carbohydrates will raise the blood sugar of a pre diabetic. The ketogenic diet is actually in my opinion the proper human diet. There weren’t cave people running around with bags of sugar, chips, ice cream, bread, candy and cereal and back then men could out run a zebra in full a gallop . The best diet, to lose belly fat fast …the ketogenic diet which is a diet dealing with hormone balance….even in some cases of super insulin sensitive people, they can’t even have Stevia or substitute, alcohol sugars when it comes down to getting your weight very low. . Oh and yes, no booze. There are keto, friendly drinks, like tequila, gin, vodka…anything without a high sugar content alcoholic drinks , are not the best thing for your metabolism or a diet the body considers it a poison. Check out ketogenic Dr. Eric berg on UA-cam ..He has tons of videos. I watched his videos and lost weight, from 164 to 134 in 4 1/2 months, plus, lowered my blood sugar to 5.1 in the same amount of time. I do take a 10 mg Staten every three or four days to keep my cholesterol low and it works perfectly. I don’t really like statins, but when I use them that way, they don’t bother me.

Seriously, "You don't have to go fast to _______ ...you just have to go" can be applied to so many things!
so true!!
Her skin looks good too. She’s the epitome of no excuses.

Sounds like your cat is saying to you, “Stop walking, sit down, and cuddle with me!”😂
My dog does 'heel' when I'm walking in my place.
This is so inspiring to me. It's never too late. Much respect!
Makes a whole lot of sense. I know a lot of people that go to a gym and all they do is the treadmill & then go home!
Awesome plan for her. No one perfect she just focused on positive things to succeed in life.
Beautiful Ms. Jessica! You are an inspiration! 😃

eat the way God intended. Read the bible, it is all there.
Does she have an Instagram?
Did she have swelling in her feet
vegan for the win!!
What the hell is Fitbit, lol they cut her off
She went vegan! That was much more important than the walking!
No, she needs exercise for bone and organ health. There are overweight vegans as well.
Rack City Duh facts
Vegan doesn’t equal healthy. There’s a lot of junk food still one can eat. She is making healthy food choices for sure though.
Vegan is not healthy my great grandma lived until 102 years old she never became vegan and she eat meat every single day of her life
One of the most ignorant comments. So because Grandma ate meat you say that millions of people who don’t eat meat are unhealthy? Dear God - Don’t breed. 🤣
Walk outside
I need my protein i cant eat all carbs type 1 diabetes
Might be a good idea to walk to the dentist.
It was really hard to watch this with out the Zxyzz music
