    I must admit that I never thought highly of ALDI even though I had never been in one. To me, it always seemed like a small upgrade from a Dollar Store /Dollar General. However, a new fitness gym was built in our area that is next to a new ALDI.I grudgingly went in with my girlfriend after a workout and must admit I was impressed. I stand corrected as the store is nice,... has a good selection and low prices, and has so many items I don't see anywhere else,....and the speed at which they can check customers and move a long line down quickly is awe-inspiring.

      If you ever find out there is an European supermarket next to you (Aldi or Lidl), just go in. They are still 50% worse here in the states than they are in Europe but so much better than any American supermarket with all the chemicals. Just wish they would have all the amazing yoghurts and cheeses they have in Europe!

    Great video!! I started shopping at Aldi 30 years ago, and they were thought of as a no frills "discount" store, they got the last laugh!! Now they have great cheeses, grass fed stuff, wine, the works!! Where I live now there are zero Aldi stores, and we literally plan vacations around the closest Aldi stores.

    The Aldi olive oils have country of origin stamped on each bottle near the date code....ES = Spain, PT = Portugal etc

    My family is from Sicily. They produced their own olive oil using olives grown on their farm. No chemicals used. This Aldi olive oil comes closest to what my Sicilian family used to make. It’s liquid gold! Olive oil from Spain, Greece, etc don’t even come close. I highly recommend this product!
    FYI : We have many Middle Eastern supermarkets here in Tampa. Grocers import their olive oil DIRECTLY from family farmers in Palestine. They also carry a good olive oil from Lebanon. This is the best olive oil you’ll ever have! Many family farmers still use ancestral growing techniques( ex. Rain water for irrigation) to raise their olives. They also have middle eastern jarred olives, etc. All organic. Their grains and breads are also very healthy!
    Thanks for all you do!

    Tip. If you don't like the chickpea based spaghetti it would likely be because of the texture. But you can also still use it just half portion of the chickpeas combined with half portion of the whole wheat so you got some regular texture in there also. Works like a charm with just a little bit of carb cost. The pasta is dried so it will keep for a long time in the pantry even with both packs opened- I use Ziplocs to store the open ones because I don't know when I will use it up.

Didn’t know about the pastas like penne, so I will look for those the next time I’m there. I’m always telling my friends about ALDI. I recently discovered that the term Grassfed is a very loose statement according to FDA Regulations. The Meat can be labeled “grass-fed” if the Animal ate grass during a portion of its raising ( I think the beginning-not certain). After that, they can eat whatever else and still be considered “grass-fed”. When the animal ate grass during its raising AND life span, it's called “grass-fed AND finished”.

      @droosh Рік тому +2

      @@user-mg8oj6em4z because they make sure that the serving size and amount of sugar is such that they can round down and say zero. You always need to read the labels.
      Also, it says uncured and no. Nitrites and nitrates. But it lists celery powder which is pretty much the same thing from what I understand... It's still a processed meat. Sometimes you got to have a hot dog. LoL

    Hi Bobby! Just a quick comment after watching this video...the Benton Keto cookies contain Erythritol, which is a sugar alcohol that causes digestive problems (really bad stomach upsets) if eaten in large quantities. I teach cooking classes and always avoid anything with sugar alcohols (found in chewing gum, amongst other things). Just an fyi.

      You're so right. I've eliminated all types of these sweeteners after several incidents of late night violent vomiting/the runs after consuming - terrible for you!

      GT's Alive Ancient Mushroom Elixir Root Beer and the Cola version both have 9g Erythritol a bottle and I never had any digestive problems.

    I’m a new subscriber. I’m loving your videos. I’m diabetic; so this is extremely important to me. As most diabetics we are taught to use total carbs for controlling our insulin levels. I use it as a starting point. Then I consider the fiber as a bonus. If the fiber is higher, I can feel more secure that the product isn’t going to spike my sugar level as long as the total carbs are within the safe limits.
    Please mention the total carbs whenever possible. Thank you.
