Edit - I just picked up my keyboard today and have to say the typing experience is amazing as is everything about this keyboard. And this is coming from a HyperX Alloy Elite RGB with brown switches. The PBT keycaps on my Ducky feel absolutely great when typing as do the red switches.

I really wish I had one too! I ordered the keyboard also with red silent switches in September 2020, but Ducky has not resumed production as of yet for vendor offers with german layout. It appears that this is very low on their priority list, unfortunetly.

I got the keyboard and wanted to change the space bar out to the plain white one. I didn’t like the design, but the white one is a 6 post and the one with the design is a 3 post. It seems to fit fine but get stuck sometimes. Am I just not pressing it down enough or what? Great video btw.
Should fit fine. Maybe try pressing it down all the way (would be difficult to break it, dont worry) and make sure it's lined up properly. Most spacebars have extra slots for varying switch layouts so that's normal. If it is a huge issue, or you can't get it right, reach out to the retailer you bought it from for further assistance. Never heard of/seen that issue with these so could just be a bad bar.
I found out my problem. The extra plain white sparebar was very slightly bent. It was causing it to stick when slightly pressed. I heated it up with a hair dryer and straighten it out, and it works fine now. seems like its a common problem from what I've seen on keyboard subreddits.
No flashing at all. Any flicker you see on this video is just a mismatch between shutter speed and the LED intensity. It's a camera issue that isn't visible to the naked eye. Trying to improve my photography/videography to limit this on my newer reviews as well.
I noticed you were using the function key with the f-row keys, but that was just to cycle through the lighting options right? For regular use of the f-row keys you don’t need to press down on the function key, correct?

This keyboard features a standard keyboard layout...But in a TKL form factor so you have no Numpad. With that being said, if you have trouble with a "normal" keyboard, this will feel the same. It is a smaller form factor, but not a smaller keyboard in general. However, if you use standard keyboards just fine, then this will be perfect. As for the free gift, most are just free stickers. If you don't want a sticker, I would go with the MK pin, or the 2-3 random keycaps might be good. I typically just choose "no gift," but if I picked one it would probably be the random keycaps just because I wouldn't use a sticker or pin.
The flicker is only there on camera. Lots of times LEDs show up like that on a camera or you might get a strobing affect from an LCD panel or something. What you are seeing as a "flicker" is actually not visible in person.

Both are great switches. Reds will feel more like a traditional typing experience, and have a nice, but subtle "click." Browns are definitely louder but have a more tactile feel to them, which is why gamers love them. Browns might be better for a pure gaming keyboard, Reds will be a little more versatile. Could you help me by telling me exactly what is the difference between the Ducky One 2 RGB White TKL vs the Ducky One 2 Pure White TKL. They look the same to me so I don't know the difference.
Really hard question to answer because people have different wants/needs when it comes to switches. If sound is an issue get the cherry MX Reds (or even Silent Reds like I have). Reds are also my favorite all around switch for gaming/typing/whatever. Many people like browns and/or blues for pure gaming. I would recommend looking at a video or online forum about different switches (tactile, linear, etc). I hope to do a video about all of that soon.
@@ewitodaaabeaner9643 the 2 parts that really matter in this situation are the keycaps (the thing that makes the keys white) and the switches (the things that make the keyboard the way it sounds, the amount of force needed to push the keys and the speed of the keyboard and doesn’t affect the way the keyboard looks). So let’s say you buy white keycaps with black switches, the keyboard will look white but the black switches won’t affect the keyboards look. Hope this clears up the confusion.
I have this issue with the software, I’ve got my keyboard plugged in however the software says “plug in your device to begin” idk what I haven’t done and I can’t find anything online! : (

I'll try to answer all your questions: 1. Yes there is a stable color option. You go to "Full Backlight Mode" then select your color. 2. It looks black in the video, but it is actually dark blue. You "should" get a blue one, but the colors can be random so sometimes you may get another color. You also get all white ones so you can make the whole keyboard white if you prefer. The colored ones are just a few extra keycaps. 3. It comes with a plain spacebar if you prefer...you can just switch it out.

Yes. Should all be the same size. Only different one would be the Ducky One 2 SF. Keep in mind though, the Mini will have front printed legends on several of the keys, the TKL will not.
All up to choice. In my opinion reds are a great all around switch. Many people prefer blue, browns, or even speed slivers for strictly gaming. It's all personal prefference.
I am looking for a low operating forced and very low total travel distanced keyboard which won't tire my fingers at all. Currently using the Reds (K70 LUX) for over 4 years but I get tremendous fatigue after gaming/ typing for few mins. The switches should also be silent. Should I get the Silent Reds or the Speed Silvers is a decision I simply cannot make! Any suggestions would be welcome.
The Cherry MX Silent Reds are a good option for sound, but may not be enough of a change for your finger fatigue. The Silvers, on the other hand, may not be quiet enough depending on how quiet you need them. I will say the low actuation force of the Silvers, combined with the lower actuation distance may help your fingers out a bit though. Also, while not quite "silent," they are not a very loud switch either. You may have to weigh the pro/cons of each, but if you can tolerate the slightly louder sound signature compared to the Silent Reds, I would suggest getting the Silvers.
@@MURPHFRAGS Thanks a lot for replying back. Yes, you are totally right. I have decided to deal with the sound than dealing with finger fatigue. I checked the specs and found that the Reds actuate at 2 mm and have total travel distance of 4 mm, whereas the Speed Silvers actuate at 1.2 mm and have travel distance of 3.4 mm. The actuation point of the Silvers are significantly lower which will help for sure but problem is I am bottom-out typist. Wish that 3.4 mm of Silvers was even lower, somewhere around 3 mm or even below. If you know any keyboard maker who may have made a custom switch with lowest possible travel distance (than that of the Speed Silvers) please let me know. Thanks once again.
@@ithehappy1 I’ll do some research and see, but 1.4 for actuation and a bottom out of 3.4 is already very low. Kailh Speed switches have the lowest actuation distance of any mass produced switch I’m aware of (1.1mm), but still have a travel distance of 3.5mm.
btw i have a question about the keyboard when u order it online it says free gift it doesnt say spare keycaps does it automatically come with the free keycaps or its just in America? cuz im canadian
Automatically comes with the extra keycaps and spacebar. The "free gift" is just like a sticker or whatever else they are offering at the time. I usually just leave that blank.
Camera. It happens when the shutter speed doesn’t match the LED frequency. I’ve gotten better at eliminating it with my newer videos. You would’ve see it with the naked eye.

Not to my knowledge. The software is essentially for RGB control, and I checked the manual for dip switch function and they are primarily for moving the location of the function key.
@@decay9711 Cherry MX Black: Actuation force of 60g, actuation distance of 2mm, total travel distance of 4mm. Cherry MX Red: Actuation force: 45g, actuation distance of 2mm, total travel distance of 4mm. Cherry MX Silver: Actuation force 45g, actuation distance of 1.4mm, total travel distance of 3.6mm. With all that being said, typically Cherry Reds are a great all around switch. Cherry MX Silvers are also a favorite of gamers because it is lighter like the Red, but has a shorter actuation force which means it can be a bit faster of a keystroke. Black would be my least favorite of the bunch strictly for gaming. It has a higher actuation distance, but is also just a touch heavier than the other 2, which helps avoid unintentional keypresses, but could lead to fatigue in a longer gaming session and also could be a bit "slower" in terms of keystrokes. Ultimately though, none of those are bad choices for gaming, and switches are a big personal preference thing. If it was me, I would stick to the Reds or Silvers...but again, it's just your preference.
Hey I have problem with ducky software I have same keyboard with you. I downloaded the app opened it and when i open I just see the ducky software but only thing is red triangle with ! In it ⚠️ like this but red. And there is 2 spaces to click but there isn’t anything to click and when I click nothing happens I tried redownloading few times it didn’t works pls help me
Go through the software and switch colors. If that doesn't work. Hold the left and right windows keys down at the same time for about 5 seconds. If that doesn't work let me know. Thanks.
I believe it’s still a great TKL in 2022. However, you should also checkout the new model: Ducky One 3 TKL. A bit better in most ways but it does lack the software of the One 2 TKL (although some have mentioned problems with the software in the One 2 TKL lately, but seems to just be a small amount of users). Moral of the story, if you don’t need/want software, the One 2 TKL is solid, and the One 3 TKL is even better.

I downloaded the software and it just says 'Plug in your device to begin' and I've unplugged and plugged back in my keyboard many of times and it doesn't change anything at all. It just keeps saying 'Plug in your device to begin' on the software page and there is absolutely nothing I can do to change this or go further on into the software to update the colors on my keyboard.
@@carlaaalily It does, when you press the key, it ripples out in a circle from that point. Both are great, if you want the extra RGB shinethrough maybe go for the pudding cap version. I checked the specs and found that the Reds actuate at 2 mm and have total travel distance of 4 mm, whereas the Speed Silvers actuate at 1.2 mm and have travel distance of 3.4 mm. The actuation point of the Silvers are significantly lower which will help for sure but problem is I am bottom-out typist. Wish that 3.4 mm of Silvers was even lower, somewhere around 3 mm or even below. If you know any keyboard maker who may have made a custom switch with lowest possible travel distance (than that of the Speed Silvers) please let me know.

@@ithehappy1 I’ll do some research and see, but 1.4 for actuation and a bottom out of 3.4 is already very low. Kailh Speed switches have the lowest actuation distance of any mass produced switch I’m aware of (1.1mm), but still have a travel distance of 3.5mm.
btw i have a question about the keyboard when u order it online it says free gift it doesnt say spare keycaps does it automatically come with the free keycaps or its just in America? cuz im canadian
Automatically comes with the extra keycaps and spacebar. The "free gift" is just like a sticker or whatever else they are offering at the time. I usually just leave that blank.

Camera. It happens when the shutter speed doesn’t match the LED frequency. I’ve gotten better at eliminating it with my newer videos. You would’ve see it with the naked eye.
in reactive mode do we have an option for a constant background color?
Yes you can select a color or randomized.

Quick question, do the lights flicker when turned on, or are they smooth?
Smooth. No flicker at all. Any flicker you see on this video is just a mismatch between shutter speed and the LED intensity. It's a camera issue that isn't visible to the naked eye. Trying to improve my photography/videography to limit this on my newer reviews as well.

This unit had the Cherry MX Silent Red switches.

Not to my knowledge. The software is essentially for RGB control, and I checked the manual for dip switch function and they are primarily for moving the location of the function key.

Cherry MX Red: Actuation force: 45g, actuation distance of 2mm, total travel distance of 4mm. Cherry MX Silver: Actuation force 45g, actuation distance of 1.4mm, total travel distance of 3.6mm.
With all that being said, typically Cherry Reds are a great all around switch. Cherry MX Silvers are also a favorite of gamers because it is lighter like the Red, but has a shorter actuation force which means it can be a bit faster of a keystroke. Black would be my least favorite of the bunch strictly for gaming. It has a higher actuation distance, but is also just a touch heavier than the other 2, which helps avoid unintentional keypresses, but could lead to fatigue in a longer gaming session and also could be a bit "slower" in terms of keystrokes. Ultimately though, none of those are bad choices for gaming, and switches are a big personal preference thing. If it was me, I would stick to the Reds or Silvers...but again, it's just your preference.

Hey I have problem with ducky software I have same keyboard with you. I downloaded the app opened it and when i open I just see the ducky software but only thing is red triangle with ! In it ⚠️ like this but red. And there is 2 spaces to click but there isn’t anything to click and when I click nothing happens I tried redownloading few times it didn’t works pls help me

I believe it’s still a great TKL in 2022. However, you should also checkout the new model: Ducky One 3 TKL. A bit better in most ways but it does lack the software of the One 2 TKL (although some have mentioned problems with the software in the One 2 TKL lately, but seems to just be a small amount of users). Moral of the story, if you don’t need/want software, the One 2 TKL is solid, and the One 3 TKL is even better.

Why’s the enter key pink on the website
The keycaps are randomized. If you order this keyboard it will likely come with blue, but could also come with the reddish/pink color.
I downloaded the software and it just says 'Plug in your device to begin' and I've unplugged and plugged back in my keyboard many of times and it doesn't change anything at all. It just keeps saying 'Plug in your device to begin' on the software page and there is absolutely nothing I can do to change this or go further on into the software to update the colors on my keyboard.
Are you sure you bought a One 2 TKL and not a One TKL? The One 2 series is the only one compatible with the software.

Both are great, if you want the extra RGB shinethrough maybe go for the pudding cap version. Just to let you know though, if you buy the TKL in white or black version, Ducky sells their pudding caps separately if you choose to grab them later. You can find them below:

Assuming it is in stock it typically ships within a day or two (then however long delivery time it takes depending on which shipping option you used). If it is out of stock it should give you an ETA on availability.

@@larke9268 If it says "not in stock" and has an ETA it is hard to say. Personally it has only shipped faster than the anticipated date for me. BUT, I can't guarantee that for everyone. Could be sooner, within the window, or even a bit later. People who I have talked to typically get theirs before, or during the window...but again I can't guarantee that will be the case for every situation. You could try emailing their customer service, but they will likely refer to the time frame anyway, but worth a shot. Good luck in your order though!.

Not really. I never have a problem with mine, and you can wipe it down with a damp cloth or Lysol wipe if it does.
