Just bought one of these, like how much more quiet the keyboard is and also the fact that there is much less rattle coming from the switches. That space bar will definitely need some lubing because that sounds awful. Although I remember that my current ripoff red switch keyboard had a very loud space bar aswell, but by now I guess the stabilizers have got worn down and now the rattle is gone.
Ya, the spacebar is my only complaint too. I didn't feel like desoldering so I just put a tiny bit of lube on the stab stems and where I could touch the bar and it helped a bit.
@@MURPHFRAGS I guess I'll just do the same with mine. Although I have to figure out what lube to use, since there is no mechanical keyboard community in my country...:( Strange to see that it's not a deal in Europe. There are some shops in the UK that seem fine but since the Brexit it's not worth ordering from there. Only viable option is Germany but they don't have anything in stock, only on pre-order...
@@Windschutzscheibe Ya i've heard about the shipping complications with Brexit. If you can get it, I recommend just a bit of Krytox 205g0 for the stems/wire. If you decide to take apart and lube the wire Krytox 205g0 or some dielectric grease will do the trick as well (and dielectric grease should be easy to find).
Depends on if you want/need the dedicated arrow keys. That’s the only difference between the 2 really. I started with the Mini, but now use the SF. I like having the dedicated arrow keys and dedicated delete button. It helps with editing videos and such and isn’t much larger than the Mini.
I haven't but i'm familiar with the board. It basically comes down to looks. The SF comes in Cherry and Kailh switches. The Varmilo comes with Cherrys. If you are a Cherry fan choose which looks best to you (I think the panda version looks dope). It will be slightly larger than the SF. There are other slight differences but those are the main ones. I prefer the basic SF, but the Varmillo is cool too.
Get the Miya if RGB isn’t for you. Miya keyboards have great designs and the stabilizers are lubed. You have way more switch options if you get the Miya from Varmillo themselves instead of mechanical keyboard’s website.
As far as flex it does, but you'd have to really be trying to flex the thing to get it to do that. I just picked up my board to try and it flexed a bit but took a lot of effort. It's not going to flex on you just be typing or using it normally. Same thing with the "warp." It def can twist if you grab it by the sides and twist in opposite directions...but it has to be forced. You aren't going to be noticing anything unless you are actually trying purposefully to test the limits of the board and you are twisting it. It is a solid plastic housing, so that can be expected. But, as far as plastic boards go, these are pretty rigid.
@@MURPHFRAGS @MURPH FRAGS Just got it in. Ducky has seemed to tightened its qc. Feels solid overall. I got MX reds this time coming for mx browns. I got superlube on the way to lube them. Overall i love it!
It depends on the year you buy it. You likely have a 2019 model (or bought in 2020 but leftover from 2019). This is a Year of the Rat model. Ducky switches their space bar based on the Chinese Zodiac.
Go to one of the modes with a static color option (breathing mode, backlight mode, etc by cycling through with "Fn," "alt," and "T." Then to choose a color hold "Fn," "alt," and then press spacebar. Your spacebar will light up all different kinds of colors then you just hit the one you like. I will post the user manual below as well: duckychannel.net/download/user_manual/2020/Ducky%20One%202%20SF%20Usermanual.pdf
@@justaj24 No guarantees, but you likely won’t get a pig space bar. It goes off the Chinese zodiac and that space bar is now 2 years old. You will likely get a Year of the Rat, or this year’s Year of the Ox.
@@MURPHFRAGS Thanks. Looking forward to buy it, but rtings' review hold me off, stating this particular model has latency more than Bluetooth keyboards. Do they still sell that keyboard?
Will you able to disable the window key during games?
Yes, there is a "Game Mode" on this keyboard. Hold FN + ALT + one of the "Windows" keys for 3 seconds. Just do that same step to turn it off.

You can do half of the KB one color and the other half a different color right?
Don’t think so

it is epic....

Is there any warp/flex in the middle of the case

Can i mess the whole keyboard if i just do random things with dip switches or nah
Not on this board. It mostly just affects some key functions. Even if you messed something up just set it back to default (all in the off position).
i am not able to even use the keyboard???

They basically let you make quick adjustments or modifications to the board. If you are unfamiliar with them I would leave at default.
