I was dumped about 6 hours ago, its 3am currently. Almost 2 years into it, I genuinely thought he was the one, I've never met someone who I clicked with so well. We both have bad mental health and he became distant. I feel so lost and my head hurts so much from crying. I have very bad abandonment issues and was always worried he'd leave or cheat on me. He never did but I guess in the end it really was a "if you love them, let them go" situation. I'm a very touchy person, very pda and being held for comfort etc. I miss being held at night, that was my favourite thing.

I don’t feel like we’re masochists for looking for love even when it hurts, I don’t think it has anything to do with us I think it’s just our souls looking for that connection that reminds us what it means to be alive.
Human connection is important, and I think when you’re committed to yourself you also need to commit to your humanity. I see it as needing friends to talk to, friends to love and have fun with, to argue with, and then when romantic love comes around you’re prepared because your life is already so satisfying and full of love that you’re able to love knowing that if it doesn’t work out you still have so much to make you fulfilled both inside and out.
Idk. I’m not there yet, I don’t even date because I know that my next partner isn’t going to cross my path anytime soon, but I do think having loving connections that aren’t romantic are important.
And also understand that things don’t have to make sense. Like you said, why overanalyze everything? Because let’s be honest, when we fall in love everything goes out the window, but is that such a bad thing? Even when it hurts?

im a bit late but thank you for this, i really needed it. a girl ive been talking to for a long time randomly blocked me yesterday saying she doesnt "deserve" me. it hurts so, so bad, especially considering she "broke up" with me via text on christmas eve while i was at a family party. i miss her more than anything, it physically hurts my chest when i think abt her and i can't seem to breathe properly sometimes. i cant help but wonder if i did something wrong (she says i didnt, but it's hard to tell if shes just saying that). it's still a fresh wound and ive cried more in the past 2 days than i have in 6 months. im trying so hard to let myself begin to heal and forgive but it's difficult when im still head over heels for her. still, this was really comforting for me, so thank you again

This actually helped, this girl I was talking to wants to love another dude that cheated on her the same night he came back “late from work.” We had everything in common it was a little scary, but she was toxic, loved when I talked to her about this dude and her ex she’s stuck in a lease with. I told her how she tells me how she just doesn’t want her heart broken again and a real relationship, and knows I’d do anything for her. Still wants to go to the guy that has a 2 year old daughter, cheated on her, ignored her for 3 days after, told her he doesn’t like her like that, then still wants to “try” with him. Lol feels good to vent in the comments, but I think it’s best I cut her off after this. I missed my shot, and now I’m kinda glad I didn’t get involved with that type of energy.

Your whisper videos are my favourite. Amazing. My take on relationships are that most of us paint a picture in our head of how a relationship should be. Very seldom is our perception the actual reality. And also breaking up with someone with in the first 6 months is hell. It’s the honeymoon period and that stage is utterly addictive. Any time I’ve ended something within a few months I feel like crap only because I miss that new feeling. I always realise after it was the right thing. I think with my head not my heart.
