Think of something you're good at, anything at all. Do you enjoy it? A lot of the time, the answer to that is yes, and I'm sure it's obvious why. This is especially true if you started out sucking at it but put in the work to get good. There's some level of satisfaction associated with rising up the learning curve, and this goes for ANY skill.
That point aside, math's a subject that deals with patterns, and some people find patterns fascinating. Others find them boring and useless, and fair enough. That's a subjective matter. Of course it's important to note that even if pure math doesn't intend to prove useful, it often does by accident. For example, the field of group theory is very abstract, but since it deals with symmetries, it even proves useful in physics.

Wow nice not to be yelled at while getting taught math! I’ve always had a bad relationship with math because I’m dyslexic and it takes me a bit longer to figure out equations. I was also yelled at when getting taught math by family members. So I always associated it with negative emotions but this video really helped me understand the equations because of how calm and patient she was. I hope you make more videos like this because this is redirecting math in a positive light! Thank you so much❤️

Just like I'm incapable of disrespecting Santa and the Tooth Fairy, I equally can't disrespect any other magical being that doesn't exist in my eyes, regardless of if people do believe in him. If a fictional character is responsible for lots of death, it's fair to call them 'fucked up'. In my eyes, the God of most major world religions is exactly this - fictional, and directly responsible for a whole lot of death.

Using your hands to count in math isn’t bad at all! It helps you to confirm your answer, although large numbers can get complicated you can also add, subtract, multiply and divide on an extra paper or worksheet to confirm it too. It’s ok if you can add, substract, multiply and divide mentally, but checking or finding out your answer by counting with your fingers or writing the operation on paper is fine too, don’t feel pressured about it!

There's no ASMR that can make you fast asleep in no time than listening to someone who teaches Mathematics. Overall this ASMR is great.

Regardless if it’s stuff I know well or not, it’s still fun to watch this because it’s both educating and relaxing. And even if I don’t know it too well, it’s still fun to learn as much as possible as these educational ASMR videos are extremely inspiring.

I’ve always struggled so badly with math. The trouble is, is that I really love it, but I always feel let down when i think too hard about it.
I have always been a perfectionist, and math has always been this glaring dart through the middle of my perfect record. All through school, i could excel in everything (NOT to brag, because in the end, i wasn’t perfect at all), but once i got to high school, my all A report cards would come back ruined with C-, and once, even a D+ in math, and math-based sciences. Convinced that I was jeopardizing my life because I couldn’t get anything right in math, i would cry over my math homework, cry during tests, cry during math class (I’m sure a lot of people know the humiliation of this). I would literally have a panicked reaction when faced with a math problem. Once I got the hint that I wouldn’t be able to solve it, I would crumble. My worst ever grade on a math test that i studied for and took the whole 1.5 hour class period to take was an 8%.
Once I hit university, I vowed never to take a math class again. Recently, I have felt a change of heart. My mother always said that being bad at math means I’ll never make any money and struggle in society, and maybe she’s right, but my motivation for revisiting the subject is different. I want to give something I could have loved a better shot, a re-do of sorts. I want to take away the agony i associate it with and make it something I enjoy. I want math to be something I could be good at instead of literally having a fear-based reaction to it. I want to take it into my own hands, instead of having to look in the faces of disappointed adults who would tell me “I know you’re better than this,” all while in my head I truly believed that I wasn’t. After all, I hate when things get the best of me. When I understood math, I liked it. I hated that it had to become my enemy, and I want things to change.
So, thanks for the video! Even though I still felt nervous in the face of math (isn’t that silly?), I appreciate that I can look at it in a calm environment, and learn something instead of feeling that heart-drop I had years ago. I appreciate that. ❤️

12:20 When the imaginary number i is in the denominator, we multiply the fraction by the conjugate of the denominator to get rid of i
(The conjugate is just a change in the sign of the imaginary number i)

We learn the stuff in the video at highschool but this is only the simplest part of it (complex arithmetic) In reality, the complex number problems are usually a lot harder and take the form of proofs.

Guys, stop thinking you are all awful at maths ! Take the time to learn and understand the rules, then try to apply them. It takes time to some, but there is nothing magical about maths ! Y'all can do it ❤️
