On Number 2 I learned box the ears first, opened hand palm strike to ears. Then follow through like you did. Or a thumbs to the eyes is also a good strike, as long as your arms are free. On Number 3 or 4 is I am more likely to do a donkey kick to their knees as they grab me or start to lift me, as they lift me, I bring my legs up as if I am going to sit, then kick back at knees.
Mine. Grab the groin and put my knee between the opponents knees. Head butt and get him to the ground without letting go the groin. Then the Master Ken... always restomp the groin.
When I teach "crash course " self defense class I teach them what I call "The Toddler " defense , which is just go limp. It's surprising how hard it is to carry a grown adult when they do that . Eventually they have to let go to do something else and that's when you try to escape. Granted this is just the beginning of a solid escape but nobody new is going to remember anything from just 1-2 classes and make it work but they can remember "go limp"
Did you know that Bruno Sammartino made the bear hug so famous? He is one of the greatest record holders in wrestling, he would probably not care if you drop yourself, instead just go for a body slam, german supplex etc. A lot street fighters, typical bouncers go for training specifically for that by weightlifting exercises like clean and jerk to these moves with as much power as possible.
When i see you wearing gi, i wonder if you know about knife fighting techniques of Schools of Traditional Jujutsu like tanto jutsu of Ogawa Ryu etc. they are basically the same or say similar to HEMA and Combat Sambo. With that every option to propose a system has run out i guess. At least the serious ones.
Wait I thought you were a Wing Chun guy? But you're wearing some kind of Korean / Japanese uniform in this video. What are all the styles you practice/teach?
To be honest, the techniques are too complicated for me and not suitable against bigger and stronger opponents. As long as I have my hands free, I would always attack the ears, eyes or throat. Especially when we are standing together. If the grip is over the arms, I have the possibility of grabbing my opponent's genitals from the front as well as from behind. In my seminars, I have never met a man who did not immediately release the grip so that I could get out of the danger zone with further attacks.
That’s because apparently in the seminars you teach which you shouldn’t, you tell your students they should let go if their nuts get squeezed. However, in real life if a person has you in a bear hug and you start crushing his balls or hit him in the eyes, he’s gonna get even more angry and pick you up and slam you on your head. You could get your students killed, by telling them otherwise…
@ 🤣 you’re one of those guys. Those super tough internet worriers that just walk through eye and groin hits. Cause “adrenaline” right? I swear you idiots live in a fucking fairy tale.
This is total b******* I noticed his opponent is actually letting go of the Gable grip. If you think it's that easy to break a Gable grip you are in for a big surprise.
Which option do you like the most?

I don't understand, if the guy has double over hooks on you, why don't you just go for the underhooks?

He’s a BJJ black belt.
dejavu?
1st method: give him honey.

It can work with enough explosiveness or by doing it more than once.
Just go ahead and try the techniques with a partner, that would settle it
