Track and field -- my favorite martial art for dealing with multiple attackers.
@RED CHUCKS That is what the shot puts are for
Ya because you will always be in amazing shape for the rest of ur life 🙄
@@Brandon-ob9rg You’re 100% correct, and in all seriousness, it’s all the more reason not to get into stupid fights. If you’re too old to run from 4 dudes, you’re probably too old to beat them with striking or grappling too. And then there’s the risk that some crazy guys are carrying weapons. Avoidance is always the best strategy.
Sorry guys... My camera lady didn't capture my feet on the video! 😑
Yeah ... i was going to talk about that .. she was shooting the ceiling
TeachMeGrappling Coach Brian nice ceiling tho ;) all the best, good stuff, thank you.
Unreal you know all these fighting defense but your best defense was sprinting amazing
i finally found that street fight story!
Run-fu, perhaps one of the most important aspects of martial arts.
This guy wrestled 3+1 guys in a street fight and lived to tell about it.
After hearing hundreds of real-life street fight stories that have actually taken place, I've come to conclusion that wrestling and boxing are the 2 best martial arts for street altercations. Wrestling for self-defense, boxing for self-offence. And if you have time to learn both of them together, well, than you'll be just destroying people left and right.
Aka mma lol
@@anthoblalay6172 Believe it or not, MMA includes a lot more than just wrestling and boxing. Although looking at the world champions, sometimes it doesn't feel like that.
Okinawan Karate, he’s doing seisan kata. Look that up you’ll see the turnaround and the hand positions are identical
I have trained MMA 5 years Taekwondo 2 years, Boxing 11 yesrs and muay thai 1 year, submission grappling 2 years I can easy say Boxing and Wrestling are the most effective martial arts in street fight
This is literally the most important and comprehensive self defense and Boxer vs Wrestler video ever!
The man.The myth. The legend Brian Peterson.
this camerawork is amazing I feel like I'm in virtual reality
Nice thing about this it basically works with any rear grab.....meaning it's pretty close to my RNC defense too.
I don't know, when you were telling your robbery story, John looked a little guilty.
🤣
The story you told i think is a perfect example of the " you dont want to go to the ground in a street fight". Well the only way to not be grappled is to use grappling.
That was an excellent escape technique. I would love to see what you have for the arms locked bear hug
escape. Thanks!
I would say you had some serious skills fighting off those guys. Awesome story
i wrestled varsity my first year on the team and i was terrible... I wish I had learned this technique at the time, it would've saved me from getting slammed and flash KO'd when my head bounced off the mat at a tourney 🤣🤣
Bruce Lee "Use what works." I was able to grapple 2 untrained attackers at once, submitted one with a triangle; in hindsight I could have put the other attacker in a choke too, but didn't think about it in the moment
This escape is the most effective escape in all setuations
Love love love your videos. You're willingness to share so many years of experience, is priceless. Thank you.
Great tips! Covering this tonight in my kids BJJ class.
I’d say the last scenario where he is pulling you is the most important (stagger if you can manage it) cuz it’s most common in fights.
Video starts at 1:48
You are a great coach.... I'm your fan....
25-13
A holes. Great technique, Sir.
Classic escape.
Really cool story and a very good lesson :)

Excellent vid, many thanks
Brilliant 👏
Stupendous🎉🎉🎉
Coach wrestled 3 dudes criminals. Damn. Careful sir
Fantastic
Nice I subbed
Have you tried that with a stronger guy on a woman? I'd like to see if the technique would work against a much stronger opponent. Great Vid!
in the street is the backwards head butt a good idea while breaking the grip??....that seems to be my go to
Good stuff I mess around with a super strong guy at work and I can't escape his bear hug.
Hey Coach do you have a video for if both arms are trapped? Most of the videos i see in youtube are either to hit the guy in the nuts or somehow step behind him and pick him up.
Golden....
I just kept getting rear bear hugged from a dude and couldnt break it so i came here. Lots of good details. Looks like he threw me a couple times cause i didnt keep my body down. And i didnt focus my hands to break his grip w intention nor use my thumb.
A question on when you finally break their grip. Is it done in a gradual motion or is it accomplished w an explosive hip bump?
What about rear bear hug when your arms are trapped? From a surprise attack.
Do the butt bump explosively to create space and pivot immediately to try to face your attacker.it does take practice especially against a much larger and stronger opponent or attacker.
You guys make nice helpful video's .ever thinking about what shorter videos?
Most people like them long.
how about if he rear bear hug you with an interlock fingers?
Could you show escapes from a rear bear hug over the arms?
Yes soon!
@@TeachMeGrappling Thanks.
Hook his leg to prevent getting tossed
You look like brothers
This is one of the better ones. Any of them that rely on stomping feet or grabbing testicles is laughable.
Nice
hey I think you have an opportunity with your channel to grow financially through affiliate marketing. this is where you put links to gear in your description and the company's selling the gear give you money for doing so.
Also, something that might help you to grow your subscriber and view count base could be putting your videos into organised playlist. a playlist for wrestling or stand up, a play list for guard, ect.
just trying to help because I love your channel and I think you are a technical genius on the mat.
What does Braxton has against Brian's feet?
That’s what I’m wondering!!!! 🤔
Maybe you should take the hint and rethink your higiene habits 😄
Can you show this move into a lateral drop?
Sure can... need to fit it in some time!
How do you escape a side bear hug from the ground and both of your arms are pinned from there arms????
Good self defense wrestling
What about bodylock on the knees?
What about a bear hug around both of your arms though?
Coach как ты думаешь кто чемпион, Хабиб или Конор???
McGregor!
I think khabib
11:30👍👍
subscribe! i need to learn wrestling now, unfortunately we dont have wrestling program in school
my mom bear-hugging and slaming me to the ground all the time...just for fun. Thanks alot
I advise making a new video and hold the thumb or break the grip by attacking the person's thumb.
Check out Charles Wofford martial arts on UA-cam
camera person should step back so we can see the footwork. Thanks for posting.
