    Thank-you for this video. I am a human resource management student & I am feeling kinda down today. I am working on an assignment that is making feel like I may have made the wrong decision to pursue a career in HRM. I decided to turn to UA-cam for inspiration & information. Your breakdown of the actual duties & responsibilities of an HRM has reminded me that I am not in over my head & I can do this!!!

    Thank-you for the basics concepts for HRM, I am a psychologist, just recently graduated and I've been studying most of the HRM courses within my major field and psychology it's like we learn about human resources and its a Human Resource course as well. Right now Iam working with bigger state own Enterprise company and I believe and i work and perform towards HRM thinking that I am an HR graduands and I am still learning while working. I hope I'll become HR manager in that company I worked today. I downloaded your videos and watched your videos over and over again so I can be knowledgeable with the HRM basic concepts so I can perform to that standards. I believe andI love Human Resource and working hand in hand because people are the one who makes money in the company and growth of the company it self. Human Resources are the very important in the working field. Therefore, I wish i could be a top HRM Manger so I can make greater the workers or employees and the company it self. I wish to watch more videos from you. Thanks

    I am currently an HR representative. I am working in warehousing. I am pursuing a degree in HR management. I kind of did things backwards. I love HR but you definitely have to avoid making relationships because at some point you have to do your job, and people may not like that. No new friends!

      If you do not make friends at your work then How you will have a good connections with them ? Because at after some point you will feel Isolated and no one wants to talk to you and you will not grow in the company . . . because in order to have a good reputation and promotion you have to build a strong friendly relationships with your colleagues as thats how they will give a good feedback to the upper management . . . Second I have tried to be like just (No friends) at job then I felt very isolated and alone and no one wants to talk to me . . So it is very challenging to be HR because you have to create a Distance with no distance

      This def doesn’t surround the entire career as a whole but I’m not in HR yet but lately been looking into it. I realized my natural state of thinking corresponds with HR qualities. I always pay attention to employees, wonder when they went on break, I’m always thinking about what’s fair for the employees including myself I don’t care about being friends with any of them. I care about everyone getting along and doing their jobs so we can all have a stressless day

    I have a question. So it is obviously difficult to get a job as an HR manager right after finishing your bachelor. Wouldn‘t however make your situation easier if you for example do you bachelor in economics and right after that make a master in HR (plus some internship so that you can have higher chances)? Or should you still nonetheless start as an recruiter and than become a manager?

Thank you so much!

    • @CarmenGilFraguada
      @CarmenGilFraguada  2 роки тому +25

      Honestly, a lot of the HR laws are learned on the job as you work, especially during big HR meetings. But I also took it upon myself to familiarize myself with my state’s HR laws that were relevant to my specific job role. For example, when I was a recruiter I learned what is illegal to ask during an interview & what isn’t. With that being said, I honestly wouldn’t stress too much about learning every single law beforehand. My psych degree really didn’t me with HR in that aspect, it all depends on what you want to do post-grad.
