Hi Carmen what made you step away from HR?
I was getting burned out at the company I worked for and had been contemplating taking a break. But then I got laid off due to covid & that’s when I really focused on UA-cam & fell in love with consistently creating videos :)
I’m sure YouTubing is so much fun. Thanks for the reply back how was the stress level when you worked in HR?
It depends on the position, but of course the higher you go, the more stress you have. In my last role, I had a lot of responsibilities with very few resources. The level of stress will honestly depends on the role, team, and company you work for. If you have a good team, the less stress you are likely to have :)
I am applying for associate of arts degree in university canada west . Can I apply for HR

I just ran across your channel and I really like these HR videos. I am getting my MBA with a specialization in HR Management. I have experience but I am looking into getting into an actual Hr role and not just have the duties. Do you have a day in the life of a Hr Manager? If not I would love to see it. New subbie!
My apologies, for some reason I just saw this! On my channel I have a playlist with all my HR videos. I think I only managed to do one week in my life video working in HR, before covid happened.
Thank you for this video. I learned more about HR. Btw, you are so pretty. You look like Camila Cabello :)
Great video! Thank you!!

I appreciate this video. It was so helpful and informative. I’m a senior majoring in Business Administration/HR Management and I’m trying to find out what position I wanna take on in HR. Could you make a video on how to get a internship in HR and what kind of internship to start off with?

Hi Carmen, I'm an HR here in the Philippines doing US payroll since alot of western companies are outsourcing their office jobs here. I came across your channel and I just wanna say hello😊😊
Keep doing videos like this in detail
thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this video. I am studuing HR, but I do not much know about it. Because i do not have the experience. But I like the Employment law course. Would you please give me more info about it?
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. would you please tell me that working in HR is easy for newcomers too? I have a long background in this field but not in the US and at this time we are preparing to come to America, Washington DC. I was wonder if it's possible for me to get an HR job there or should I take up some courses to be eligible such as PHR? I appreciate it if you answer my comment.
Probably those with knowledge/degree(s) in Psychology would be ok in employee relations lol. Isn’t that what we do in offices? Hear somebody’s problems, act neutral and find solutions?
Most definitely! I personally don’t like working solely in a employee relations department, but some people love it! Lol
Thank you so much. I would like to combine HR with data management and I am searching for a position which can represent this opportunity however I couldn't find any information in this video in this regard so if you have any information about this point I would appreciate to hear about it.
Thanks so much

Hi Carmen! I want to go into HR but I feel like every internship/assistant position requires some type of previous experience. ): I'm majoring in Sociology with a minor in Applied Psych + I do a lot of extracurricular activities and work part-time in retail. However, I have no professional experience. (I'm even VP of our school's SHRM Club Chapter) Can you do a video about skills and tips on acquiring an internship! I'd really appreciate it!!
Hi Eliana! Sure thing, I will definitely make a video :)
And I’m doing all of it as an HR Administrator

So I wanna go into hr, but I’m not sure what branch to go into. My personality trait from the Myers’s Briggs 16 personality type is INFP-T (if that counts for something).
I need help figuring out what branch of hr best suits me. Recruiting, training or culture and satisfaction?
Do you do every one of these branches , or just focus on one area
How do we get culture and satisfaction roles? 13:57

Is a degree in Sociology a good major for a career path on HR? If not, what degrees would you recommend?
I haven’t seen many HR professionals with a degree in sociology, but that doesn’t mean they’re not out there. I think psych, business & HR degrees are generally the best bet if you’re interested in a HR career.
@@CarmenGilFraguada Thank you. Looking into career paths of Sociology majors & Human Resources is a common mentioned career path. To me it doesn’t make sense how Psychology would open the door for HRM, but Sociology would not.
Agree! Just because I haven’t personally worked with any doesn’t mean they’re not out there! I don’t see that hurting your chances of getting into HR.
Why would employees complain that they got paid too much?😂 12:48
You make HR sound less evil a vile than they actually are
I would do dumb shit just to end up in your office :)
Thank you! I'm assigned in recruitment. I actually applied for mine at Consumerchoice (internship@consumerchoice.com) and the experience have been amazing. This is amazing. I hope you can make more videos about the human resources. It truly is helpful.
