Internships and mentor opportunities can help you move up in HR as well. It is better to complete them with the company you want to work for though because they can see your potential firsthand. Keep moving forward, HR is a great career and sounds like you are on the right track 😊
Hello!!! Thank you so much for watching and commenting! That's exactly what I am thinking as well. I have been a bit frustrated with trying to set myself up and planting my feet somewhere and settling into a company . I have faced a few challenges but I am really pushing forward. Thank you so much for this because I needed this after the week I've had, I was feeling a bit discouraged but will keep going. I'm truly passionate about HR.
Hello Alexandria, love your video I just graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentration Human Resource Management and I'm coming from a background in the medical field. I'm going to be new within the HR sectors, your video help me through getting hired within HR positions..looking more in Talent Aquistion and Recruiting..but I'm also going back to school for my MBA.
Hello!!! Ahh! Thank you so much for watching and engaging! I am actually switching into HR within the medical field and looking at more specialized roles such as HRBP and people operations to get out of the new Hiring/Onboarding Sector of HR. So it is going to be another transition; some days I feel like I am moving very quickly but it's all a part of my five year plan. I am excited that you are pursuing your Masters!!!! Such a HUGE deal and super helpful to moving up quickly within HR.
@@alexandria9870 HRBP good yeah.. I had my second HR role as HRBP but surprisingly it hurts why business owners still want to have all the credit by not letting one showcase talent in the business place. SMH🙄
I'm a HR Manager presently working in the Caribbean, however, I've worked in Comp and Ben in the UK for many years. I am at the point where I want to do HR but remotely... any suggestions?
Any remote positions and connections you can find through LinkedIn! Try outside of your scope and even internationally ! International HR Remote positions pay VERY well!
Hi Alexandria, love your video! Also wanna say how beautiful you are dang God have His favorites. Thank you for taking the time to do this video even tho you feel sick. Hope you feel better soon 💛
I can relate sweetie .. I am emotional too but employees see me as straight cause that's how I want them to see me to avoid over familiarity.. HR is no extremist for me 🙂
Haha yes!!! Luckily with transitioning into a new role it will be more on the analytical and business side so I can remove myself from the frontline finally😮💨 I've enjoyed a good three years of onboarding/recruiting it's time for a complete change!
Hello! I am working on putting something together, I love helping others and have been working with my friend who is a mentor now to set things up! If you ever have questions I have been meeting with people via Zoom on a separate occasion but it's been for their school assignments!
One of my friends boyfriend is 28 and will be transitioning into HR he and I spoke a while ago. He is currently a teacher/coach !! It's never too late 🙏🏽

How active have you been in applying? Where are you located, and you can provide very little detail for safety? If you are in the U.S. you should have a very good chance of getting in somewhere. In the last three years that I have worked in HR many of my coworkers were from abroad.
Thank you for subscribing and engaging! I really appreciate it. It truly means a lot, I am not a big fancy smancy youtuber but I do truly enjoy what I am doing and sharing these things with everyone! 💖

Happy New Year! Thank you so much for the well wishes! I hope you had a wonderful holiday ☺️
What do you advise someone who really needs a HR job , for bachelors studied HRM in her home country and moved abroad.

Do you work remotely?
I've held one HR role that was remote, the rest were in office or hybrid. I am currently working in office.
