I like the fact you do your podcast from your homes, makes you both more relatable normal guys in my opinion Your cat in your lap, your dads dogs in his videos. Just a nice touch
Cheers guys great episode, Darcy at one point looked like a Bond Villain stroking the cat on his knee, (had to have a laugh). Love the channel keep em coming 👍
Your dialogs are excelent; they are a good complement to your other rewiew channel. They are a good contribution to make mature riders and to create a better and more mature way to be a biker....or motovlogger.
@Dad'n'Darcy: Thank you for rating my Iron 883! Yes, we have the Euro Emission regulatios in Germany which also regulate the noise. It is legal to put a valve exhaust system on your bike like from Jekill & Hyde. But the use on public roads is illegal which means you're only allowed to run the exhaust with the valves closed. I don't want to manage the sound riding the bike, managing the speed (limits) is enough, you know what I mean. Another thing is that I simply love the shape of the stock pipes and all valve exhaust systems have other shapes. So I live with the stock pipes. They are not too bad actually and even improved a bit over the years. Greetings from Hamburg 🍻 😅
Excellent! I love the format. Darcy has a funny sense of humor where I sometimes need to let out a laugh myself 😂! With Honda, we in America now have a very limited supply of “cool” bikes now. I am in Japan half the year and see a vast array of “retro” style from small cc to large that I have never seen stateside. I keep coming back to edit after seeing more! I agree with your father 100% on mud guards. I just got back from a ride back from Key Largo in the rain. The V7 is completely covered in filth from a main highway. No excuse for this. Had to put my jacket in the washing machine because of kicked-up filth up the back. And this is with an added fender extender. Pipes all crap. I saw a Bombardier trike yesterday that had complete plastic wheel protection fully enveloping the three wheels. It looks cool, is unnoticeable, and leaves the rider dry and bike clean. So, it can be done and doesn’t need to weigh a ton. I think they snap off too. Funny as hell with the Big Bird analogy to adventure bikes!
The mud guard discussion is funny. Over here in the States we call them fenders. And generally (unless its a dual sport) we want them as small as possible. You guys across the pond actually need them for road conditions we rarely encounter here.
@@DarcyOlManExtra after giving it further thought, most of the hardcore riders that will actually be out in the rain will be on fully dressed Harleys that have the bigger fenders. The bobber crowd tends to favor dry weather. But you guys get a fair bit more rain than much of the US does. Love the content, especially the Indian bikes featured recently!
Thank you for the shout out on my ‘23 R18 100 Years and compliment on the photography. All were taken with a Nikon D850, 2 with the Nikkor 58mm F1.4G (fantastic lens), the wide shot with a Nikkor 14-24 F2.8G. The 100 Years edition comes with the maroon quilted seat along with a number of other features, to include the Akrapovič mufflers, which don’t sound much different or louder than stock. This photo review format is fantastic and I hope you continue it, should you choose too do so I have plenty of interesting bike photos I’d be happy to share. Love your content and as I’d mentioned before the “Old Man” had a huge influence on me buying the R18 and I absolutely adore it!!! A safe and healthy New Year to you and yours, be well!!
This was funny and enjoyable. I would like to see your alls thoughts on the new moto guzzi v100. I know it's not a retro so maybe not your style esthetically, but just your thoughts on the motor compared to the V7 850 motor and if it has lost its signature Character (FYI I owned the v7 850 and am interested in the v100). I'd like to know of that more modern motor would be good being adopted into a bike with the retro styling of a v7.
Because smaller producers have less strick regulation to comply with. It's the reason why yamaha 450 enduro bikes isn't allowed on the roads. But Fantic 450 is, with same motor, frame ect.
I can hardly hear you on this. Got my output set to 100% but you're barely audible. Opened the sound page in settings and the bar as you speak rarely goes above about 10%. I get good sound on most other channels but struggle to hear this one. Don't know why.
Not sure why that is, it’s perfectly loud and audible on all our devices (iPhone, earphones, tv and iMac) we test it on all. And was set to the correct levels in premier pro while editing. We are looking into it our end, check that your speakers are set to mono not stereo and that may sort it 👍🏼
Im so disappointed with the Honda offerings here in the USA. They still haven't even given us the new hornet! Their lineup compared to someone like Suzuki is a joke. I bet Suzuki offers at least twice as many bikes here as Honda. Honda is about the Asian market. Can't blame them as they are making so much money there that they could realistically pull out of America and Europe and barely notice it. It's just a shame for people who do like Honda motorcycles.

Thanks for my 15 seconds of fame. Keep up the good work. You will love riding in the US. A lot of diverse scenery. Sal

Hahah yes this one is better while viewing!
I’ve been watching Mr Darcy & the Ol’ Man for a while, found this today. I enjoyed the rate my ride and the how to grow your channel.
Awesome, thank you!

thoroughly enjoying these podcasts. youve made an excellent decision doing these :)
Glad to hear it!
I really appreciate my V ROD being featured, maybe I could make a channel out of my bike rebuild escapades!!
Definitely! Give it a shot 👍🏻
Thanks for showing my Monkey and Dax, i love the little bikes and adding my own custom touches!
It was lovely to see them and the customising you have done to them - awesome 👍🏼
I watched about 5 mins then I had to switch it off. I thought I would watch it with a coffee before I went to work. Worth the wait.
The Red quilted seat on the R18 is standard on the 100 Years version. 👍
Good to know, looks lovely!

I see, that’s very insightful. Thank you for that. The iron is an awesome machine! 😎

That’s very interesting to hear! Yes in the uk it rains a lot and in the countryside where we both are it gets rather muddy haha

I love your channel chaps, you got it dead right.
Thank you!
Harley should make a mini softail standard or streetbob with identical looks instead of nightsters and the new sportsters in my opinion.
That would be cool
How do we send our bike pics in lads?
Email dadndarcy@outlook.com 😊
How do I send in my bike so you guys can review!?
Email dadndarcy@outlook.com 😁
Question for next time maybe... Why doesn't the Ol`Man want to fly anymore? What happened? They tell us its the safest way to travel.
Harley Davidson needs that

Very true
I would like that yall could do more “Rate Your Rides” so that you might see more nice bikes not in UK.
