  • Long video warning! After many requests, I dug up some old footage and pics for an overview of my current race bike. Poured a lot of time and money into this bike and absolutely love it. Unfortunately there's only so much room for horses in the stable, and she's currently for sale to make room for 2024's race season plans. Enjoy the video and let me know if there are any questions!

    Thanks for the video man there's honestly not a ton of video's on these bikes.
    I'm also building a '20 from the ground up so it's cool to see a very similar simple setup!
    Stepping away from my '05 636 for white plate next year and made the upgrade, beyond stoked to shred a newer chassis!

      That's awesome man congrats on the white plate! I did the same except with an 05 Honda 600, got my white plate and decided I needed the upgrade. Sadly I just sold this ZX last week to move on to the next build for a different class, but it was a phenomenal bike, I'll miss her!

    Awesome video and setup! Making moves on building up a 2013 ZX6R for racing CMRA out of TX. What did the journey getting into MotoAmerica look like? That’s the level of proficiency I’m working towards.

      Thanks! It is separate but attaches to the front race fairing. It comes as a set of bodywork, this one is hot bodies from sportbiketrackgear.com they should still be running their end of year sale!

      Everything went for $9k. Congrats on the new bike! Those new ones look awesome. Pretty much all the video I have is in this video unfortunately. But happy to answer any questions you have. I would start with clip-ons, rearsets, intake/exhaust/tune and that should get you setup pretty well for a nice track-capable street bike.

    • @cchief249

      No I usually run the 0 degree! I grew up racing motocross so those have always just felt more natural to me, don’t like drooping down over the bars.

      Thanks! Was a pretty innocent (but fast) lowside, no injury and got the bike going for the next race.
      Rotor is this one here: www.hsbkracing.com/parts-and-apparel/kawasaki/ninja-zx6r/brake-clutch-controls/brake-rotors/kawasaki-ninja-zx6r-zx636-zx10r-versus-650-racing-lightweight-rear-brake-disk-rotor/
      But you can find them elsewhere for cheaper. Hope that helps!

    About to turn my 22 model into a dedicated track bike my 09 is getting a little long in the teeth, did you remove the entire ABS system or just plug the pump ?

    • @cchief249

    • @cchief249
      @cchief249  4 місяці тому

      @@OzTrollracing it isn't bad at all. Follow the lines to the pump, remove them off the bike, either plug the holes on the pump (easier to return to stock in the future) or remove it altogether, re-install non-ABS brake lines from MCs to calipers. It's a simple system, just follow the lines and take your time!

    Just curious… why did you choose Bauce for your ECU re-tune? Why not Precision Dynoworks or someplace else? I want to send mine out this winter. I’m just a weekend track rider… but a very enthusiastic one! Thanks.

    • @cchief249
      @cchief249  8 місяців тому +1

      Forgot to reply! Word of mouth mostly, the shop I ride for has used Bauce for years and Anthony does many of the bikes in the MA grid, so that's reason enough for me. Also, he's done extensive tuning/development on the ZX-6 platform (among others) so I knew it was a proven, safe tune that's both fast and reliable. Hope that helps and good luck on yours!

    • @mikedominick
      @mikedominick 8 місяців тому

      @@cchief249 very helpful, thanks. I’m in NYC and Bauce is NJ so it’d be nice to give my $$ to a local-ish shop. Was considering a dyno tune at the Motorcycle Mall (also NJ), but you’re not the first person that’s persuaded me towards Bauce.

    • @cchief249
      @cchief249  4 місяці тому
