I agree with a lot of what you've said. We'd all love an IMU and an electronic throttle set up, but realistically, it's not worth Kawasaki developing it as it'll make the bike too expensive. Ironically, a lot of the other supersport bikes that do have IMU's, etc, wouldn't get anywhere near the ZX6R on track.

It's important to remember to start with a bike that has 15-25 BHP for your first bike. It would help if you learned how to ride and understand how they operate, and once you're skilled enough and can respect yourself and the bike, you can go for a bike with 80 BHP, 100 BHP, or more. All that tech gives you a false sense of security. If you NEED all that tech, you need to practice and hone your skills. I’m glad they kept it simple and that they even bothered to refresh and update the 600 class. If you want lean sensitive abs and all that extra just get a European liter bike….
Supposedly Suzuki has a GSX8S sportbike version possibly coming out like Yamahas R7 and the same from Honda for the Hornet motor supposedly. If you want a proper 600 you better get like a 07 or 08. The new ones are neutered with emissions regulations. They don’t have that wicked top end like the old ones
They didn't make a 636cc zx6r from 2007-2013. The 07/08 zx6r lost around 10-15 rwhp from the 05/06 zx6r. 05/06 zx6r 636 also make about 20 more rwhp then any other 2007/2008 600 class bike. Every 600 class bike redlines at around the 13000-14500 rpm mark from 2003 to present day. Manufacturers didn't lower the level of rpm for emission regulations, they limited power by changing the ecu mapping, controlling how open the throttle body position is. Even though your wrist is fully twisted at higher rpm the ecu tells the throttle body to only open 70% or what ever the manufacturer has decided. This can be fairly easy to negate by getting an ecu flash. They are making crazy power gains after a simple ecu flash with most new era bikes. The new zx10r can make over 30hp with just an ecu flash, which is insane.
@@vigilant.Actually, it looks like they sorted out their oil leak problems, turns out they're pretty reliable nowadays, not on the same level as a japanese bike, but those are unbreakable anyways.
