    ZX6R is all the power you need for the streets…
    ZX10R is all the power you need to fly above the streets

    I enjoyed your video and I subscribed. Your descriptions of the riding experiences are very accurate. 600's are fast and fun, they have a feeling that I can toss them around with confidence. 1000's are more of a handful. They are a little heavier and with the extra torque and and hp up top they take more effort to control, you are fighting stronger G forces. That can make them a little scary to riders with less experience. That extra power is what makes me prefer 1000's. When I launch my Gixxer I get the butterflies in my stomach. I love it!!😂

    Good luck with your 1000. They are a lot more fun than 600's once you develop the skill to use the extra power.

    I had a 2006 and a 2009 zx6r. Currently ride a 2016 zx10r. I’ve always ran Dunlop Q3s now running Q5 non s. Only thing that is noticeable bothersome to me is I can go hard for half the time I did on the zx6r before wires start showing on dunlops. I knew that going up to 1000cc more power but still a factor because tires are expensiveeee

      @@ShahaniMotors no way bro! i'm definitely taking things slow because i value my life. I see myself as a parking lot warrior for at least another 2 to possibly 3 months before i even hit the streets on this bad boy. I own a FBO race tuned ten speed 5.0 Mustang that eats super cars alive so i'm experienced in the fast lane life but the bike is totally a different experience and i'm taking it very seriously. btw i appreciate you for not scalding me for starting off on a liter bike,

      @bradleyrussell8180 I couldn't convince myself to Start off small for that exact reason, bro! I didn't want to buy a motorcycle I was only going to have for a few months, only to go back and buy the one I wanted. For me, these motorcycles blew my mind because they are so cheap. My 2021 scat pack charger cost me 13k as a down payment , and my ten speed 5.0 was 10k with my charger as a trade in! I only put 7k down for Ninja 🥷
      I'm being extremely carfax with this bad boy, I value my life and I know I have a lot of learning to do before I start hitting the streets. I literally haven't been out of first gear yet🤣

      @@winsome879 I think I'm gonna hang on to this one for at least a year before I go any bigger. People were telling me to start on the 400 or the 650, but I didn't want something that sounded like a lawnmower! I'm happy with the 6 but at the end of the summer I plan on buying a Softail Slim and maybe next year get a ZX10R. The 600 doesn't pull a power wheelie and that's probably a good thing, I'm dreading my first tank slapper. Judging by these videos, the liter bikes pull a wheelie pretty easy and seem to get tank slappers easier. I run with my dampener as tight as it will go. I just leave it tight, I'm used to it at low speeds now.

    Late to the party on this post but funny thing for me is I went the other way. Had both a ZX10r and just grabbed a ZX6r, was just not having the need for the 10r anymore. The 6r is just more fun for me on the track and in the twisties. I sold the 10r and made a nice little profit in doing so. With that profit put some mods on the 6r and it's a beast! and never have issues with riding with my friends who have 1K's and sure in a long flat out road top end the 1K's will be always be faster but not a dig rider, we love ripping in the mountains. Fav mod's I did was a Two Bro's system, MM tune, Vortex 520 chain and sprocket along with some Michelin power GP tires and a few other little goodies that make it my own little pride and joy. Well cheers and enjoy the new ride.

    So I was wondering if I should get a ZX6R as my first bike but here in Sweden the ZX6R is as expensive as the ZX10R. I always hear that people getting their first bike shouldn’t be a litre bike but I always see more value for my money buying a litre bike. What are your thoughts? They both cost around 4000 dollars for a 2008 ZX6R/ZX10R. Is it because the ZX10R costs so more to maintain and drive around compred to the ZX6R that makes them equally expensive second hand? I’m 25 years old and have been driving a car since 18 and bicycles all my life to and from work/gym. Any advice? An R6 instead perhaps?

    Thank you for making this video. I’ve been struggling with deciding between the two for a month now. I’m not a racer but was getting a little bored with my CBR650 because my friends would roast me on takeoff getting on the highway.

    • @scottseedell238
      @scottseedell238 27 днів тому

      @@Drunk0nCustard Don't be ridiculous. A CBR650R is 94bhp, a CB1000RR is more than double this. Even a basic look at the specs will show you that a CB1000RR beats it comfortably on acceleration and top end.

    • @Drunk0nCustard
      @Drunk0nCustard 26 днів тому

      @@scottseedell238 Yes looking at some spec sheets and guessing it will win and commenting this without even thinking how a lower hp bike will win on takeoff 0-100. You've clearly never had any error input in a 1000, I'll explain it as tiny as possible so you can learn something.
      650 doesn't have to worry about looping or wheel spin unless they are super inexperienced, the power put down is there instantly and it has perfect amount for its weight/power to twist the throttle 100%. While the cbr1000rr you know the slowest 1000 currently, has to not only feather the throttle, the clutch and put the power down without electronics shutting you down...
      Best way i can explain it... other than that you need to watch it in person. as i have multiple times. Thanks again for trying

      @@Drunk0nCustard This is all well and good, but isn't how it works in reality. All of those issues are there with any fast bike, including 600 class. That's why even 600 class bikes have launch control. The evidence is there in black and white and the 0-100 times have been tested and tested again. You are incorrect and even a tiny amount of research demonstrates this to everyone.

    I find that you can get second hand 1000cc bikes better value than 600cc or 636 for kawasaki. and usually you can get lower miles on 1000'S as people buy them but are scared to put any miles on them. Got a Fireblade and the 2 previous owners only did 300 miles between them over 2-3 years.Hopng to get a 2016 or 2017 ZX10 next as ive always liked Kawasaki.

    I have a Z900 right now as my first bike and I'm torn between these 2 bikes. But the price difference is insane and I might just go for ZX6R purely because of that. 16k€ for ZX6R and 29k€ for ZX10R.
    If the dimensions of ZX6R are fine for me, I'm gonna choose that. But being 6'4 / 193cm, I gotta test it first.
    Sadly no used bikes for sale here that have KTRC (2011-) so going to buy it brand new. Also the lack of fuel gauge surprised me in those 2016 models, more the reason to buy post-2018 model

    Cool video but a couple things. If the bikes already too fast for you, why would you flush it. I’m not understanding this fascination with everyone flashing their bike to do it when a lot of times they do it they don’t like the way the way the bike reacts. Just doesn’t really make any sense to me part two is you wouldn’t of bought that bike if you didn’t really want it. You couldn’t take that back to full potential even if you were on the track so that comment to me is pretty much stupid.
