Torqen hosted a UK ZOCIETY meet, the biggest Nissan Z-only meet of 2020. A range of fast, custom Nissan 370Zs and 350Zs attended, along with some guest supercars - a McLaren Senna, Ferrari Pista and the very relevant Lamborghini Diablo... If you don't know why, make sure you watch the video.
A group of us got together to drive down to the meet and that's where we found Reneé's "WeaponiZed" Project, a Twin Turbo AAM AMUSE 370Z with Braum seats, custom interior and a 500hp Twin Turbo conversion.
I also bumped into Bob Laishley, Nissan GT-R Programme Director (ret.), as featured in our previous videos on the GT-R50, and have a quick catch up with him too.

Those are some nice Zs. I have a 2008 Nismo 350Z. Love tracking the car, so capable and balanced.

Good to see Adrian (torqen) is doing well. Bought lots of goodies off him in the past for my twin turbo 350z. Custom fully uprated bottom end which he drove a fair distance to deliver to me in person He's really helpful to his customers. Goes that extra mile.
If you're reading this, Adrian, I'll soon be buying bits again but this time for a 370 instead of a 350. But I wish I could have been at the event in this video with my turbo 350. Really miss my 350 😞

Thank you! We work hard on the edits! And, as for the revolving camera, that's something I've been experimenting with and it's working well... It's actually a static 360° camera. I choose the pans and angles in the comfort of my living room 🤫
It takes ages compared to traditional editing but it's worth it for the result!

I love the 370z, glad I bought one, now I will have a go at customising mine, and hopefully one day go to a car meet like this, looks epic.
Hey, just go even if it's not custom yet. It's a great way to figure out what you want by seeing other's cars. Most Z meets are welcoming to all Z fans/owners 🤙

I was really surprised to learn about the Lambo's headlights.... it gave you the perfect excuse to show a 300Z - and I've not seen one of those in way too long; nor any predecessors 😢.
In terms of modifying your own.... it sounds like you've decided to go the twin turbo route. Exterior looks fine to me so leave as is. Custom dials are not a bad shout.
Anyway..... what would I know about modifications? Heck, my old heap is (almost) completely stock lol 😆.

Thanks Graham! Great comment yet again! I've got a couple of small enhancements to the exterior, specifically the wheel fitment and some small carbon enhancements, so watch this space. I've also got interior plans but all will be OEM+ and in keeping with the current theme of the car. Watch this space :-)

I think he was running around 500hp at that time. Which, is probably more than enough for usable power on the street IMHO.

It's the Amuse bumper with a one-off painted aluminium diffuser made by the owner. Glad you liked it.

Ah, yes. Unfortunately I didn't mention that in the video but they are shown briefly in a clip. Yes, SPC camber arms are on mine in order to get the adjustability required when doing alignment.

Those were one-off custom made by René himself. He wanted his car to be a one-of-one!

@@Jeanyuhzz he's got the Amuse rear, with additional custom finishes. Maybe you'll like the Amuse rear bumper? I've got a Nismo and really like how the rear looks on that.

Depends... In the UK, the police can pull you over whenever they want... Giving them an excuse only increases the likelihood that every journey will take way longer than it needs to. Some people take the chance... For others, it's not worth it.

Love the z but hell I wouldn't even supercharge mine never mind twin turbo mine. Both options are Way to much money, I would buy one with the conversion done let the other owner take the hit. I am guessing that's one of the reason that guy doesn't daily drive his as it's his garage queen. Personally I would go a different platform.

Vq37vhr is a beast of an engine, you underestimate how much they can handle, especially considering how cheap a used Z is, they make perfect project/track cars imo.

Ha ha, a common misconception about Nissan sports cars. It's generally more the other way round.
@@sportzntouring in Europe at least they have Renault parts, throttle body is from Renault, that I seen it my self.
@@2fast4you25 maybe so, but the engine is Nissan designed and built. There's few vehicles these days that don't borrow a few parts from other manufacturers.
@@sportzntouring many but we talk about Nissan and they still have a partnership with Renault. For example, Nissan Juke Nismo 1.6 turbo 218hps, the whole engine is from Renault, not a single part there from Nissan. And hey nothing wrong with it, it does well. Some design things could be better on it but it still does ok for what it is.
Zed just sounds wrong
I can imagine... It all depends on what you're used to I guess... For what it's worth, Zed is the English name for the letter 'z' (and the one used here in England). I'm pretty sure that the US is one of the few English speaking countries that uses Zee instead of Zed.

Haha! Because we're English... And "Zed" is the English name for the letter "Z".
The name "Zee" came about in the 1600s via an author here... For some reason, "Zee" was later adopted in the USA, instead of "Zed"... Whereas Canada stuck with the conventional English "Zed".

i'll never understand why you go to all the effort & expense to modify it then leave it in the garage, granted if its worth millions but a 370z isn't going to appreciate that much.
It's not what I'd do, but I do understand. Rene has done a lot of the work himself with, some parts being a one off. I understand the fear of that work being damaged... Each to their own. Personally, I'd not be able to stop driving it I think.

I guess if you didn't realise where English is from, it would be an easy mistake to make to think that the American mis-pronunciation was the right one. Hopefully that's all cleared up now.

I know that in the US, "zebra" is said "zee-braa" but here we say "zeh-bra" (think of the name Debra - nobody says "Dee-braa", people say "deb-rah").
Or, the word "friends"... nobody says "eff-rends" 😁
Zed is the original English language way to say it so I don't imagine us English folks changing it. I mean it's ok, America has its own version of our language and I think we can just try to accept our different ways of saying things 😁👍

some nice tasteful mods on most but some damn out right rice mobiles there. i know it's subjective but i'd say by any one's standard, for example, 18:24 is an abomination! the huge unnecessary wing, colour, wheels, awfully immature. 99% of people seeing that on the motorway will be laughing at it.
