Just once I would like to hear a demo where someone plays a 400.00 amp without a 3500.00 guitar...
Jim Romano usually they got Yamaha revstars or pacificas..
The Solid State/Modeling Amps Technology the Past 20+ years is incredible..i said this before many times i was a Tube Amp user only..up until 2009 when i was introduced to the Marshall MG 100FX..i can count on my one hand how many times i have used a Tube Amp since 2009..the Solid State/Modeling Amps do everything a tube amp does and much more and their much more reliable..no need to reply anymore on a tube amp..like i said the Solid State/Modeling amps do it all..
Good video I purchased the Line 6 Spider V 240HC with the FBV3 and 2 4x12cabs, love it 🤠🎶🎵
I have the Spider V 60. Killer amp. I love it.
I use the Spider V60 with my PRS S2, have always love both Line 6 and PRS it's like they were made for each other. :)
I just bought the 60w and for practicing it is awesome! I would like to see a review of the 240w however there aren't any yet.
William Schuver hi, what does the 60w sound like cranked up... pretty responsive ?
Yes it sounds good at all volume levels, even cranked up.
William Schuver switch it for tubes bro. Had the amp for a year and a half. Hell his blue tooth isn’t even hooked up to the thing and there are none in the back. So he’s hooked up to something else going into a computer.
Aren Gray isn’t the Bluetooth dongle connected to the bottom part of his guitar? It’s black.
Neither of you guys "had this amp" otherwise you would know he's using the wireless unit line 6 head g10 unit and that there is no Bluetooth you have to plug your phone or computer in and you get more settings in the computer program ! 🤷🏻♀️ Show ass holes who hasn't even used the amp love to trash it, like that Torres guy🤔
Thx for your review! One question: Can custom community tones be downloaded directly from the mobile app on all spider v amplifiers? Are all the same for every amp? I was doubting betwenn spider v20 and spider v30
I have a V60 but all models have the same logic driving them. The only difference is the power output and the V60 and up have the Line6 built-in wireless station. They are neat practice amps if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg on an amplifier and don't know what tone you are looking for -- yet. It allows you to experiment which is both fun and helpful. Great value for money.
EDIT: I forgot to answer the question LOL. Yes, you will be able to download community tones to your Spider V amp regardless of model.
Full range? Does that mean bass is also usable with this amp???
@@DennisFranz .It can sound fat or thin, just depends on how you set it.
Acoustic pluck is the setting i use for bass.
Full range just means there's a tweeter onboard.
I played outside today under a shade tree today. But the amp & foot controller readouts were literally washed out by the daylight. Can the displays be brightened? Or do I have to rig a shade canopy specific to the amp and foot switch?
do you can use bleuthoot on it?
Hi Sam, excellent video. Thank you. Can you just clarify for a couple of us commenting here - does "full range" mean you can play a bass through this, as well as an acoustic?
no,it is a guitar amp
Paul Capps Hi Paul maybe you cankindly help i am beginner idiot and just bought this v30 amp but when i push amp button i can not see arachnid rythm option anywhere i am baffled and not sure what i messed up i just want to learn my power chords with rock sound
@@nikkib90 You need to press the drum butten and then turn the control knob to select a drum pattern.
@@PaulCapps some amps can be for guitars and bass
best review on YT, Great job
can u make a demo of line 6 spider 240-watt
That Guitar Tho 😲Lucky af 😤😛
how is it luck?
Hi Sam ! Can i connect my looper pedal ditto / boss RC along with amp and play it ?? Is it possoble as this amp is wireless
Would have been a nice sound demo if you miced it up correctly. It's got a tweeter that you didn't pick up with a second mic and therefore especially the acoustic sounded... well, not nice. It sounds way better live than this video is able to demonstrate.
Is that Marillion in the beginning?
Cool amp! I like mine. Why didn't they make a Mac or Win editor for this?
Thats exactly what i want too. -_-
Ur leads reminded me of Devin townsend
I’m not sure why, but I don’t think I learned anything about this amp I don’t already fuckin know......besides the usual wank, he’s basically reacting how I was the day I bought mine.
If you really want to get deeper in tone shaping, tell us about the app, and all the user presets already on their website.
How do you play 8:00? That sounds awesome
WOW come a long way from the boat anchor you sold me for 750 dollars. Ax 212 what a hunk of crap that was.
this is just as big a hunk of crap, dont be fooled
I highly doubt that anybody buying a Line 6 Spider 5 amplifier would be using it with a high end PRS..
I do, so that shows what you know.
then you have your priorities backwards and you are loosing out big-time unfortunately.
watch any video with the title "cheap guitar expensive amp vs expensive guitar cheap amp"
you now have a $2000 guitar that sounds no better than a $100 squier, kind of a waste isnt it?
You my friend, are stupid. The Spider V amps are great.
Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard. There are more uses for a guitar than running through 1 amp. Most people buy guitars based on feel, and tone. The spider wont change the feel, and you can plug that guitar into any amp in the world regardless of whether you have a Line 6 amp. The spider amps arent supposed to be the greatest amps in the world, that's why they're cheap. But they do offer alot of features for the money, thats just a fact.
if the amps (the 120 and especially the 240) came with 120 blank presets and was called Helix-Junior or even Firehawk Junior it`d avoid all the "it sucks" Auto replies due to being a "Spider" loaded with mostly if not all Junk presets aimed at early teenage bedroom learners -- start from scratch and make your own making good use of the PEQ (Parametric Post EQ) and it`s a damn good practical amp for something that`s not a high end valve amp and good for home or live well worthy of plugging a high end anything into .......
The delay will not shut off, even if it's... off... and volume at zero. Sigh.
this guys trying to sound way more smart than he actually is.
I bought spider v 20w
Just not happy , if you beginner just don't buy any of these
I'm thinking buy new amp asap
99.9% of the time if you talk more than play, you are demonstrating a totally unusable, nasty product.
if you want good modelling and are on a budget please look at fender mustang, they kill this pile.
if you have $200-$300 do not buy this, buy a katana,a peavy vyper or a fender mustang or a used tube amp.
or there is just a lot of stuff to talk about
wayne rorbach the mustang is shit
Ronaldo plays line 6
I've had a spider 1 for 18 years. It's great for crunchy clean and bright sounds. Heavier sounds it's ok. It's never had any issues. Still looks and sounds new after hundreds of gigs. The buttons however have too much beer in them so have started sticking.
Anybody else that really miss Paul Hindmarsh at this point?
Hi, i bought this amp but i dont see many presets on the spider v android app and the cloud tones there. Where can i get more tones ? if you can help please ? thanks much and loved yout review of my amp here . thanks
WOuld have been helpfulif you had dual cameras with one showing a closeup of the amps face/screen showing what you were adjusting to go along with the voice as its not as clear.
I´m having an issue, hopefully someone knows this. I have an effect where I use a soft distortion, delay, reverb and chorus, so every time I want to turn off the distortion and use all the rest with a clean sound, the volume goes down significantly. If I turn the volume up, then when I activate the distortion, it goes extremely loud. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help!
Maybe check channel volumes? I would recommend using 2 different channels if you're trying to achieve 2 different tones like that. It could also have something to do with your presence or maybe even pregain. Thats just a guess from me though.....
Big freaking deal what guitar you use with what amp! You the guitar player is what makes the tone on any amp.
