Para un ateo como yo este video es una auténtica paradoja, ya que con esta composición de J. S. Bach interpretada por la virtuosa y grandiosa Valentina Lisitsa es ir directamente al paraiso. Gracias por compartir.

Valentina absolutely MUST record this piece and others of J.S. Bach with Decca. This is by far the BEST version ever. Technically brilliant, accurate as a metronome while never lacking in warmth and lyricism. She can playing blindingly fast but it never sounds rushed. Not too much pedal and not too little either. This piece was written at a time when the piano had not yet been invented and it is quite evident that Valentina is mindful of this in her interpretation. It is in a word, as close to perfection as one can get. Bravo!!

I cannot emphisise enough how I love both hands in Bach's pieces. To me he is the best piano teacher. I enjoy Valentina's playing each time. She is phenomenal !

Very much played from coming out of her own natural ability to play the piano well and not cramped at all ! Not many can play J.S. Bach that way.

I played this in music school in 1957...it was liked by students in practice rooms near mine and they would gather in mine to listen...didn’t play the prelude as fast but I loved those days!

Brava Valentina yet again! You are awesome. JSB would have loved this performance--after, of course, he recovered from hearing the sonic majesty of a piano for the first time...

Frst Argerich, then Lisistsa, and now Tffany Poon have either eqalled or possby excelled Landowska and Gouldin this piece. Standards have been raising in bach performance since the 1930's. WONDERFUL work from all five!

This shows that music is ultimately about emotion and not just technical skills.
The piano is uniquely suited to render emotional intelligence.
Human emotion and the piano work in tandem as if it is destiny and devinely arranged.

Bach wouldn't use arpeggios on chords.
