Merci Valentina.

I've watched this so many times, but it wasn't until now that I noticed Ms Lisitsa played the imaginary bass G that does not exist on an 88-key piano at 13:58. If only the piano was the Bosendorfer with extra bass keys!

I think she is playing the high G with the thumb, and with the pinky she is hitting the black place of the piano(just near the A) . I , instead of the non-existed G key, played the A key with the high G , and it sounded as a clear octave (acoustic illusion)

@@brayanjoel3580 You are so right! I hadn't thought it as an option! But, if she is hitting B flat, she must be using 4th finger, and I can see the pinky "hitting something" ! She may be hitting high G with the thumb, B flat with 4th(or even 3d ) finger, and the black little place of the piano (near the A key-the imaginary G ) with the pinky ! I saw the video again and you are the one who is right, it is an acoustic ilusion, have you heard Lisitsa's interpretation of this piece on AppleMusic? It is 18:08 minutes long and acording to the description of this video it was recorded on a Bösendorfer 280VC, the low octave sounds amazing, deeper that other pianos, it is part of her album "Valentina Lisitsa plays "J.S. Bach", I heard it with the best headphones I have and it is stunning! Her interpretations are always breathtaking.

This has to be the best Bach-Busoni D Minor Chaconne rendition on UA-cam.
Your talent is unrivalled, at best, and sublime at worst. You has even managed to make Bach sound human!
Never had I thought that a Piano Rendition of the Chaconne would pull at my heartstrings, better than the original Violin version would.
The Violin version is fine, with the virtuosi like Itzhak Perlman and Jascha Heifetz indulging in a lot of rubato and embellishments and trying so-very-hard to make us cry. It amuses me.
You, on the other hand, have played it just like it was intended to, if not better. Perhaps, if Bach had known a Steinway Grand in his day, and knew his work could be performed by you, he would not have bothered to write the piece for violin at all.

Fortunately I was there too. I loved the third encore: Lizst's Hungarian Rhapsody number 12. An angel enjoyed himself on the keyboard through her fingers.

Hola Valentina.

Bravissimo! Stunning performance. Broad, deep voice of the piano makes it feel like telling a story in music.
