    question. im 57 years old, my testosterone is at 647 ng/dl and my free testosterone is 51.9 pg/ml. would it be smart to start trt? my trt doctor wants to put me on 60 mg twice a week.

      What was the reason you stopped last time? Why do you want to go on again? Were your levels higher initially? On paper your levels are great! Especially for someone your age. Unless your have symptoms you are sure are related to your testosterone being lower than it should be I definitely wouldn't start trt. At the end of the day its best for the body to do things naturally. But there's a lot of factors to consider. Join the Facebook group.

    • @h00dini
      @h00dini 4 роки тому

      ezzybro1 thanks ezzy. The reason I stopped was because I hated having to inject twice a week but mostly it was because I didn’t feel as good as I did at the start. I got off cold turkey. My numbers today are higher then what they were when I first got on trt and even the doctor who prescribes me trt is surprised. This however is due to diet and exercise. He wants me back on but I’m reluctant, and no, I don’t think I have symptoms. I just can’t put on muscle as I did before and maybe that’s not good enough reason to get back on.

    Man I wish he was my doctor. He is so intellectual in health. I’ve visited with doctors and no one has explained like him. I’m dealing with low sex drive, mild anemia, bruise in strange places, have high blood pressure, and trouble breathing. I don’t know what’s going on but I need help fast. I’ve been like this almost a year. I’m 25 this all happened after COVID

    The most possible culprit for prostate cancer is not testosterone but estrogen. Estrogen has to be controlled by an A.I , such as Anastrozole unfortunately estrogen blockers more specifically tamoxifen does not seem to help as it does not block estrogen at the prostate receptors. I believe small doses daily or a few times a week with something like Arimidex especially as people get older is vital

    • @Garabins1
      @Garabins1 4 роки тому +5

      You’re wrong, stay away from AI/estrogen blockers, they are completely unnecessary with TRT and will only add to the complexity of your treatment. They can easily tank your estrogen levels and leave you chasing E2 issues and symptoms. Stick to the lowest TRT dose
      Possible that leaves you symptom free, split the dose into 2, 3, or daily injections and you won’t have any estrogen spikes/symptoms associated with high single weekly or bi weekly Injections.

    • @vilosfull
      @vilosfull 4 роки тому

      @@Garabins1 I am not wrong and it depends on the individual person 's response and dosage of testosterone selected. I don't do well at all with AI's they wreck my mood but many other people are fine with them. I use tamoxifen but it does not protect from prostate cancer. An A.I with a carefully conservative dose offers a lot better protection still for me even a fraction of 1mg messes me up but as I said many other people are fine with using up 1 mg every other day along with supraphysiological doses of Test.Even when you are an older person not on TRT a tiny dose of Arimidex (a small fraction of a 1mg pill) a couple times a week could be protective from prostate cancer

    • @georgecottell6616
      @georgecottell6616 4 роки тому +1

      Nope, no AI is necessary.
