on the spracing f3 board, you can plug that same connector into the back of the flight controller instead of the front, and then ibus servo connector on the reciever, reconfigure in betaflight for serial communication then ibus, and it will result in lower latency, and 14 channels. all with the exact same hardware :) happy flying!

Hi there great vid I am going through this step by step and I have to ask, (as I'm new to this) does that receiver that comes with the transmitter end up being mounted to the quad? You didn't mount it but is that what you would need to do after all that so the receiver stays on the actual quad and flies with it ???
I did everything in this video. The transmitter connects but the quad doesn’t arm, and in the receiver tab the grids are all white. I set modes like to arm and horizon mode and angle but the receiver still doesn’t talk to the quad.
Having the same problem. I had this problem when i first started and did all my researching and finally fixed it! Got it flying. But my video transmitter broke so i got a new one. And some reason it stopped working. Tried everything. I mean EVERYTHING to try and solve this. About to give up honestly
Hi, thanks for the video, I have this tyro 109 just finished setup, and I've got an issue if you can help please, I've got the flysky Nirvana nv14 installed with the x8b receiver, binding works fine, I've set the betaflight configurator to ibus, and can't control the drone, I've connected the receiver plug directly to the flight control, and soldered bridge ibus right side on MATEKF405, can you help please? thank you
Hi! Sorry for the late reply! I'm not familiar with that setup, but if you email me a clear picture of it, I'll do my best to help! RCwithadam "at" gmail "dot" com.
I have same older Fly sky FS-I6 (without X) and its even more simple. System>RX Setup>PPM output, (Reciever PPM output) turn it on with UP button, longtap cancel to save it, and here you go. Reciever-drone connection cable method is same as shown in video.
Hi @RCwithAdam , is that a servo connector you're using to connect via PPM? I'm not aware of what wires I should be using between the receiver and FC. Do you know what I should be looking for on Amazon etc? Love the vids, so so informative and I'm excited to build my first quadcopter :)
Technically, you CAN use the ia6 with PWM protocol, BUT that is the WORST option for a mutirotor. Between the two, I HIGHLY recommend the ia6b. my favorite is the iRangeX Fli14+ or FS-X6B using ibus protocol.
I’m new to this so that might explain why this is flying over my head but when the title of the video is “how to …” one would think that Adam, in this case, would actually SHOW US HOW TO…. instead of just saying, “ok, next you’re gonna want to bind the receiver to the radio…. then next you’re gonna want to…” while standing there talking and looking at his notes. I’m not “gonna want to…” I “already do want to”… but I’m trying to figure out how to. Is there anybody who shows you? He might as well be just doing a audio pod cast!
Hi! The beginning was a quick overview for people who are already familiar with Betaflight. at 00:59 I begin the tutorial where I walk through the whole process. And just for clarification, I say "gonna want to" partially because that is my style of speaking, and also because it is a more casual and engaging way of saying "this is next and most optimal step in this process." Let me know if this helps!
