Went with a new SB3000. Warranty made me choose new. Have a minidsp flex with dirac. Quick time alignment with REW, and dirac calibration sounds great. Will play more with placement, but very happy with SB3000 and R3 combo.

@pixelcastle I would go with the dual SB13’s. The driver weighs like 20lb more than the SB3000. The SB13 is more similar to the SB4000, so you can expect a similar performance difference between the SB3000 and 4000. The SB13 can also be upgraded to the 4000 amp, which I did on my two units. The benefit there was the app control, which is super convenient of course. But the higher power amp with DSP and app control, along with the heavier magnets means more overall control, go with the Ultras! Also, SVS will take care of you, even if it’s out of warranty…
For two channels music all you need a dual sb 1000 pro with the Kef R3’s
I've dual sb3000, which I think are the sweet spot in svs range, my living room is 3.2m x 4.2m, my system is 7.2.8.
SB3000 is amazing
SVS SB13-Ultra had a larger cabinet, and 1000w rms amp. SB3000 cabinet is slightly smaller, and 800w rms amp. Go with the Ultra.
I have the sb13 ultra in my stereo setup/ 2 channel. Great for music lots of punch. Just ok for movies. I use the pb16 for movies .
I say a used JL E112 especially with the Kef R3's. The SVS subs just don't have good start/stop behavior and lacks detail. It's a little sloppy with music. They're great for movies, but a little disappointing for music imo.
Same here...(: The SVS Sound is generally not very clean/detailed..., but perfect for Movies* Now i have a Velodyne DD15 and its a unbelievable.,...a fully new Experience
especially with Music. Best SUB ive ever head and iam sure i will keep this Monster
