- Review of my Steinhart Ocean One 39 Green. Imho this watch is the Submariner hommage/design-copy with the best price-value-ratio out there! Wish I would have tried Steinhart earlier in my "watch life".

I have 3 Steinhart ocean 39s. Including this one. The quality is outstanding. All you have to do is handle one, you don't even have to wear it. It has all the desirable elements. The hand feel, the build quality. It's the real deal. I've been buying and tinkering with watches since the 70s. Highly recommend Steinhart.

I have a sea dweller 40mm really great watch I also have this exact Steinhart and 2other steinys , I would say they are almost as good as my 2 Rolex’s,but I feel safer wearing a Steinhart,the ocean 1 series are amazing value and quality,I will never buy a Rolex again now.if you’re thinking of buying a Rolex sub just buy a fantastic Steinhart ocean 1 and save a fortune!

Thank you for this review! Trying to decide between the green 39 and the 42 vintage red. Both look amazing, but since I can't try them on in a store, I've just been watching numerous reviews.
Unless you don’t have a big wrist (7,5 inches upwards) I would definitely go for the 39mm. It’s a very good watch. I‘ve sold it and bought it back (crazy, I know).

The green is very nice looking I have the new black 39 with the updated ceramic bezel fantastic product! But the after sale customer service is probably the worst I’ve ever dealt with been nothing but a nightmare

Great review man. Can you confirm exactly what color is the dial? Dark grey like Skx or deep black?
Thank you very much! Regarding the dial: Definitely not a deep black. I would call it anthracite. Closer to the Skx than to the Sub.
how thick is the mesh of the strap?
Hi ! Kannst Du mir eher die Ocean One Green oder die Pepsi GMT empfehlen ? Bin genau zwischen diesen beiden Modellen am hin und her überlegen für welche ich mich entscheiden soll ! Nach dem Video muss ich gestehen geht die Tendenz ganz klar in Richtung Ocean One Green !
Selber anschauen ist sooo viel besser als Videos/Bilder gucken. Falls Du die Möglichkeit hast, nach Augsburg or Aachen zu fahren, würde ich das machen und mir die Uhren nebeneinander anschauen. Ich war in Aachen beim Herrn Engelen, der dort praktisch alle Steinhart-Modelle vorrätig hat, und es hat mir die Entscheidung deutlich erleichtert. Nachteil ist, dass ich jetzt schon über die nächste Steinhart nachdenke... ;)

I did but decided against it. I’ve already sold the watch in order to make new purchases. I’m thinking about removing the cyclops from the Mini Turtle.

I‘ve sold it and bought it again within a year because it’s so good. Definitely one of the best watches out there below 1000 EUR/dollars
I have the version with the larger ceramic bezel. All good except for the green color... very pale, almost an olive green, not that bright, vibrant green of a kermit.
It‘ll be nice if you could upload a picture of it because I was curious how it looks in „real“ light. I already had the fear that it might look as pale as you described it. The vibrant green on the aluminum one is just superb. I somehow regret that I‘ve sold it. Right now I have to many Seikos (3). Maybe one will leave for a Steinhart Kermit (that I‘m thinking of rebuying another watch reveals how badly infected I‘m by the watch virus...).
I like ceramic bezels for their durability (I’ve managed to scratch an aluminum bezel on one of my divers) but I ordered the Steinhart Kermit 39 with aluminum exactly because I strongly prefer the color on the aluminum bezel. Wonderful watch!
I’ve sold it and bought it back again. In my opinion it’s one of the best watches in the sub 450 EUR/USD range out there.
I see there is a new hulk available all green
I have one and, unfortunately, they changed the colour of the green bezel to a more matte, dark olive green, rather than the brighter kermit colour this example sports. Unfotunately, it ruins the watch for me.
