When a company claims to be "...shaking up the watch industry." it's a red flag.

The Quartz-Crisis was the only thing that ever did that tbh. Not even World Wars could stop watch makers.
"Shaking up the world industry" because they demonstrate that people are gullible enough to pay premium price for low-quality watches, as long it's advertised by "influencers"
Mvmt and 5th both sell generic watches. Which are cheap quality but high price. I ordered a black IK brand watch from ali express. The quality is amazing for the price. I think it was just for $15.17 whereas they sell the same watches with their brand on it for $100+ and im honestly very disappointed with tmf and alpha m for promoting shit watches. But I'm glad to be subscribed to you. You're honest. Which makes you unique. keep going like this and you'll be on the top. Thanks mate!

Beats is more like Invicta , mvmt is just garbage , compare to Daniel Wellington, Michael kors, etc

You can find the same watches for 7 dollars on Amazon, you can find a quartz digital steel band for 88 dollars way less than mvmt
Absolutely true! I bought one 2 yrs ago (first watch in years), and I knew it was overpriced but I liked the look. The strap started coming apart within a few months, and eventually had to be replaced. A few months ago one of the buttons just fell off. A couple of weeks ago, I found the exact same watch (different logo) on Amazon for $30! I paid $130 for the MVMT. If you do find one you really like the look of, if you’re going to search a little bit, you can find one for a fraction of the cost.

Gavri Yah-akhivva I dont know even how I ve ended up on this video ,I apsolotly dispaze movment watches ,but I stayed because it was honest rewiew... As far as good watch for 100 pounds wich is 135$ or so , you have endlles posibilities to buy "real" watch ,from company that has been around for hunrets of years and has been making watches (seiko ,orijent ,casio) now thay are all japanese ,yes but I see nothing wrong with that ,and if you want to save a bit more ,for 2 movement watches you can get Tissot ,Hamilton and so on ,and so on...Junt one example for 200 pounds or less you can choose automatic seiko ,that you like (diver ,seiko 5 ,dress watc) wich ,with a litle care you can pass on to your son after 20 years.Anb if you uby movement in 2 years thay will end up in some drore ,and in 5 dumpster ,frankly ,thats where thay shoud go right out of store ,without opening the box.

I'll need to take a look at them, the strap on the "revolver" looks like the same strap that The Fifth use on their watches (minimal collection), maybe even the exact same strap (just a different color). Anyway, this was the best MVMT review that I've seen so far, also the most honest one!
It is the exact same. Both of these watch companies dropship wholsale china products rebranded. Theyre bamboozling watch fans and making millions.
I'm glad that you posted watches you'd recommend down in the description. As opposed to just bashing the company, but not giving a better suggestion. You should do a "affordable luxury" watch company comparison. The 5th, mvmt, and others.
Huge respect mate , one of the few genuine men's lifestyle UA-camrs, feel like other channels like TMF where half the video or more are paid advertisements are starting to feel untrustworthy , slightly sleazy and a bit of a money grab

I've read a lot of good things about Citizen. I'm going to spend my 100 pounds/$120 - $150 dollars (I'm from the U.S.) with Citizen I'm not sure about Vincero. They might be okay, but I feel that the Vincero watches are actually $90 - $120 dollar watches being sold for about $150.

I've heard Armani is kind of so-so, but for $80 bucks for a tone toned blue faced/ gold/silver watch that at least looks great, the price was right. That's half the cost of a Vincero..

8 months on, are you satisfied with your Citizen? I'm considering them as an option but it's a close tie with a comparable Seiko model.
I agree with everything. I purchased a watch, and sent it right back. It didn't work. It felt like really cheap material. Don't waste your money.

Just go to Alibaba if you want the watches, whilst they are the same quality they are dirt cheap. There are good cheap watches such as Berring and Timex because they do not claim they are luxury watches, they are just good for the price.

These 'Genuine Leather' watch straps are made from really old, tired cows!

Finally honest review, I would nevee buy those fashion watches, I bought a lot watches on Aliexpress from 2€ up to 25€ and all of them work just fine and showing quite correct time...
And are the same as these but without the foundation shaking brand name on it

Great review cheers mate. I have an MVMT watch from the 40 series and I haven't had any issues so far. I like the minimalist style and it does the job. Interested to see how the strap lasts. Probably could've got equivalent quality for cheaper. I'll keep that in mind when it comes time to replace it.

lazylink. The only thing one really needs is money. Are chicks that shallow? Yes they are. It's all about status. That being said. Marketing gave MVMT/DW status within their target group although they are crap. So yes if you wear a MVMT you get positive reactions from them.

Honestly I'm a bit hurt that Aaron of all people betrayed me. I watched and followed him since his old video about how to pluck your eyebrows. But hey, money and power corrupts. You've potentially saved me over a hundred dollars. Being subscribed with a bell is the least I can do.
So instead of sticking to Aaron, you switch over to some bitter “know it all” that thinks only traditional watch brands should be on the market. Let’s face it, the public doesn’t care if you’re wearing a Bulova or Citizen if they’re not aesthetically pleasing. On the other hand, if people see you with a MVMT or DW they’re not gonna care or even know about the quality. They’ll see the overall aesthetic of the watch, and much more it compliments your outfit.

Since I am a watchmaker son I have to say that the only way to evaluate a watch, is to open the lid on its back and see what it has in it! the end! I see this brand almost everywhere, and the image that shows me in relation to price.. leaves me suspicious! honest and useful review. thanks. and like! :p
I was looking at them at one point and went for Vincero instead. Recently I found a MVMT watch on the nightstand of a friend of mine, and the first thing I noticed when I picked it up was how cheap and light it felt. I don't claim to know anything about watches, but that really stuck out to me. My Seiko and Vinceo watches feel much heftier and more solidly built.

The watch I purchased lost 10 minutes of time a month! A watch is suppose to tell you the time. If it can't do that, how good it looks doesn't matter. Also the pictures of the watches are larger than actual size and perfect lit. I found I could never read the smaller dials on the watch I had under actual conditions. Sent it back - still waiting on my refund.

I've got a mvmt watch the 40 series black tan like you had in your video. I really like the watch, it's simple design is what I like. I thinking about the paul rich stirling mesh but do you know a watch from the same price range with the same clock-face as mvmt watch?

I got 4 Vincero ads while watching this video. What I love most is the fact that they claim to not take shortcuts while showing a watchmaker tinker with a movement that isn't even their own.

Vincero, Tommy, CK, D&G, Gucci etc. etc. are all in the same made in China with max markups boat. Except that the known brands can ask for a bigger markup for whatever reason. They're all sub $25 watches.

Nuu b There are good Chinese watches too. Not saying Guccis are bad watches, just not worth the asking price. At 1-2k there're so many high quality timepieces available, why get a fashion watch?

For you guys who have been to asia...mvmt watches are identical to street vendor and thailand marketplace shops. 10-20 bucks at the most all day long. Hell, you might as well buy the stuff on wish. I don't mind buying cheap watches because I have so many I wear them like once every couple months...however my daily watch is a Casio pathfinder at work. Brutally tough watch.

Don't waste your money! I liked some of the designs. Took a risk and purchased an all black watch with a metal band. A two years of very little use the coloring starting coming off the band. Company refused to make it right saying I was not quite 2 months out of warranty. I'll never buy there products again.

All in this price range: if you're looking for a quartz watch with similar minimalist styling, have a look at Timex and Casio. If you're looking for an impressive mechanical dress watch at an entry level price point, look at the Orient Bambino. The Seiko SNK809 is a solid automatic watch, popular due to its insane value for money. In fact, the entire "Seiko 5" range are great mechanical watches at their price point. If you want something a bit sportier, Seiko, Orient and Citizen offer nice automatic dive watches. If you want more bells and whistles, Casio's Edifice line and Pulsar have solid quartz chronographs and such. Can't go wrong with any of the above!
Thanks. I had interest but without Indiglo and not bluetooth notification for google calendar notification led it's just behind and sounds like quality is an issue.
I own a decent collection of watches and this one is just another addition to usual Chinese cheapskate being marketed in the west not worth even £10!
Japanese movements are great quality that are very reasonably priced.

The metal straps make the MVMT watches feel a lot better quality but I'd have to agree with almost every point in this review. I have a Classic, the 40, and a Revolver, and the Revolver definitely feels the best in terms of quality. They definitely don't compare to some other watches like Orient or Citizen. Good review!

i LOVE how the alibaba watch is THE SAME IMAGE. mvmt just changed the contrast a bit and added their logo in photoshop xD. Look at the little blemish of the leather strap on top and the position of the hands.... lololol
Could you review the LINJER automatic watches?
Yeah, you can change out the straps. But at that price point, I expect better.
I wonder how the bracelet versions are, I don’t like any of their Chronographs because the sub dials aren’t marked but the revolver series is appealing to me.

Great review! I was not familiar with the MVMT brand as it isn't the type of watch that I am interested in, but a family member wants one and I am researching the value of the watches. I get the impression that the watches are of mediocre quality with strengths based on faux luxury style and hype from what I have found.
Do you have any opinions on the 5th watches? Would be great to see a review.
+1850G from what I can tell, the 5th watches use an incredibly similar business model to mvmt. Buy as cheap as possible, market them as luxury and sell for as high as possible. Therefore my review would probably be very similar unfortunately

I have a question, have you heard of the company called Nomatic they are a kickstarter company and they make bags, notebooks and watches; I was wondering if you could do a review on them. They are similar in price to the MVNT watches maybe $30 less. I like the company and the stuff looks good, but I'm really wondering if it's worth the price tag.

For those looking at fashion watches... get yourself a Seiko or Orient. Both have sporty and classy watches. Orient has more eye-catching dressy and classy watches at the similar price you pay for knock-off fashion watches. Plus, they have proven horological history behind them (that means MUCH better quality watches).

MVMT watches are actually chinese OEM (original equipment manufacturing) from Alibaba. Anyone can get their own brand on it. Their price ranges from about $5-30 and can be bought in bulk. It's not only watches that OEM products but even smartphones so you could have your own smartphone brand too.

What's funny is I got a MVMT mid-roll ad. (correction I got TWO MVMT mid-roll ads!)
They got the color schemes down. I'm going to check their website for ideas. For example that gray with the gray strap is clean af. You could get a Timex Mariner and put a grey strap.
They're as quality as the movement I just flushed down the toilet, and no, it wasn't a watch!

At the end of the day these are just $10-20 Chinese watches with a custom logo slapped on them and then marked up to high heaven.
Over spending on marketing is practically a guarantee on what the quality of the product will be.
Seiko 5 if quality is your goal at that price range.
I was looking into getting one of the MVMT watches a few months ago ans from many reviews they seem like junk i end up deciding to buy a g shock g7 900 and i have had no problems at all what so ever for the same price of mvmt
God dam , at last some one that has grown a pair and speaks truth. This watches are not worth their price, sadly just like most watches daniel wellington, vincero and mvmt relay on sponsorship rather than quality and sadly most youtubers are just paid off prostitution . Thanks for being honest
