● In today's video I'll take you guys onboard a brand new 2023 KTM X-Bow GT-XR around Monza F1 circuit. The car is powered by Audi's 2.5 liter 5 cylinder turbo engine, making around 500 horsepower.

Agree, excellent car. Maybe too excellent for my bank balance. Great decision by KTM to use the 5 cyl, gives the already track focused looking car even more life.

Isn't it priced at 300k? Still too expensive.. 200k is the price I would consider for it. The design is fantastic but the weight is unfortunately not that good with 1250 kg without driver. Also, not sure if the driver in this video owns the car, but I would suggest him to rent a good coach or go for a slower car.

Doesn't sound that good but I still love it.
Taillights and overall shape at the rear, except for the wing...makes me remember the Aston Martin Valkyrie.
All in all...10/10 love it and would love to own one. 🍷🗿

I'd have to give this one a test drive and absolutely fall in love with it if I was considering dropping around 400k for one of these, also I would want it in a manual 6 speed which I'm sure could be done but would cost more. None the less its obviously a really good looking car.
This will basically run laps around anything under $2M lmao. Getting a manual with this is suicide. It's way too fast and powerful for that. You ABSOLUTELY need a paddle shift with this level of power and downforce.

@@petrolhead.corner that's what I said. And I agree. "SAVE THE MANUALS!" doesn't apply to this level of performance. A manual would actually kill your ability to drive this safely.

KTM used the 2.5 I5 for the GTX, GTXR and GT2 found in the RS3 and TTRS nowadays.

Id have the track version in a heartbeat, IIRC the price tag is around £220k i would not pay more for a road going variant - that's GT3 RS territory.

It's apparent KTM knows how to build serious Supercar. I guess it's better for them to start expanding their expertise in Road Legal Gt cars that would challenge Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari & Mercedes.

The hinges has small explosive charges, so it can be taken off if it was to fail.
Looks cool, but it will be really hot if it lands on the roof and catches fire. How is the driver supposed to escape?!?

The roof structure of the jet fighter canopy, combined with the carbon monocoque - both of which are made from high-strength, ultra-lightweight carbon fibre - makes the driver cell in the KTM X-BOW GT-XR one of the safest in any road car. The canopy's reinforced internal frame replaces the conventional roll cage used in motorsport. Official roof strength tests performed by testing institute TÜV Rheinland showed that the jet fighter canopy, which weighs just under 50 kilograms, was able to withstand a weight of 11 tonnes. This is more than seven times of the vehicle’s own gross weight. In the U.S. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) FMVSS 216a standard on roof thicknesses, the canopy has the highest possible resistance rating. If the car ends up on its roof, the driver can exit the canopy through openings built into the side of the canopy, which are comparable to side doors.
So how do you get out of it if you wreck and its on fire??
The side windows can be popped out... but you better be on the lean side.

Cool car but it's WAY AND I MEAN WWWAAAYYY to expensive for what you get compared to what's out there. You need to REALLY like KTM to put this in the garage.
