Saw GTX whole watching the N24 and thought it was a beautiful car. I really like it's styling. Hoping to see them in some more events and championships as well as the Glickenhaus 004c

I really love that brand that makes no compromise and give us not really powerful vehicles but which are so light and agile ! Other brands are really lacking that kind of madness and fun imo...
I own for one year now a 2014 390 Duke as my first motorbike and it's so fun to drive ! Only 40hp but also only 150kg ! (With the gas tank full !) It's so fast and agile on small twisty roads ! I LOVE it !
The sxf 450s are on 60 horse power at 110 kg🐴😁with lower gearing not for the faint hearted 👌

GTX looks like a mini McLaren P1 and I own a 18' Audi RS3 and I so want one of these sum day. Think GTX might look better than a McLaren P1 and IDGAF if its street legal or not. I would still rip it. The DAZA power plant is a phenomenal engine. What would it be like to run a semi modified DAZA in a X-bow GTX. My dream is what it is.....
At the Bathurst 12 hour of 2022, the KTM GT2 had some technical difficulties, one being the traction control not working properly before the race. During the race, they were having some issues with the car not running the turbo at all and after the 2nd time it pitted and went back out, the turbo failed. So the car was parked in the garage for the rest of the race.
This reminds me that the VW grou thought about entering the motorcycles market with engines and chassis(?) from KTM.
It's a quite old story, around '05-'06 I think. Didn't expect to see it working the other way around.

It looks kinda like a mclaren 720s gt3
I believe the original had steel rear subframe. The high side monocoque is the only way they could made the solid laminated structure work.

I love the gtx. it is a 5 cylinder, it looks amazing, it performs great, andit is made by a bike brand, not a car brand. plus I like ktm bikes, i like the street bikes and I have a ktm dirtbike.
Hopefully one day they can put an Audi twin-turbo V6 in the X-Bow
you cannot imagine how badly I want them to put the GTX Assetto Corsa. I know they made an official KTM X-Bow GT4 mod, I can't help but get my hope up a little that we will get a GTX one too

The GTX is interesting, but I am not sure I like it. Seems like a lot of fun solutions to problems that wouldn't have existed in the first place if they didn't need to stick to parts from the original X-Bow. I know, that's engineering, but I like designs with a purity of purpose. Because of the constraints they ended up with a car that has worse polar moment of inertia because of the engine position, weighs more because the engine and gearbox are not structural and has shorter rear wishbones which I was always lead to believe are less desirable than long ones from suspension geometry perspective (more severe camber changes, etc).
The car from the bunch that I really do like, is the BAC Mono. It is a real focused thing that knows exactly what it is and what it wants to do. Super expensive, but it's money well spent because you get the latest technologies on offer like 3D printed parts or graphene enhanced CF. The setup on the car is very good as well and it's extremely fast. Evo measured the 2.5L version of the Mono as being faster around Anglesey than the P1 GTR - with the GTR being on slicks and the Mono on road tires! The limited edition Mono R is even faster and could actually be the fastest production road legal car ever made (around a track).

What is the road homologation type of the xbow vs. the british counterparts?
Ariel Atom, BAC Mono, Radical Road Rapture are certified road legal cars in Europe, the Caterham 620R needs an individual legality check in Germany but also that is no problem.
@@BSport320 Yes but what is the type of the approval? Individual single approval? How about the ktm? Serial production begins where there is a series approval.
@@gearloose703 All are certified small series manufacturers as far as I know. Only the 620R needs an individual check because it has no cat
@@BSport320 It would be very interesting to read the type approval documents for any of these vehicles. Even for the customer they make all the difference regarding modifying and repairing the vehicle later. Especially in germany. I would somehow think the xbow is quite different in this regard, not for the better of course. British are notoriously lax in this and if someone wanted, I am pretty sure if any of these vehicles was actually a small series type, it could be shot down by any of the national autority, but there is no real reason or interest to do that of course.

You keep saying they needed a longer wheelbase. WHY?
-More highspeed stability
-More floor area for more downforce
-Larger fuel tank for endurance racing
why extend wheelbase? would be col to explain at level of most car fans, who know nothing

I'd like it more if they installed more beefy engines (that doesn't mean they would be heavier btw, there are very powerful engines , 800hp for example, that wights around 135 kgs which are more light than audi 5 cylinders Turbocharged engine like the Judd V10 for example and rev much higher and sound much better) so yeah the look is already perfect for my taste but the engine is meh
At this rate, they might as well make hypercar. Jk... unless...
I've seen the X-Bow race and I still have no idea how the driver is supposed to escape with the giant canopy. Always unsettled me.

The packaging of the final iteration looks like a complete nightmare... all in the name of keeping an engine from a FWD hatchback? Fuel tank size is a poor excuse. Name a single GT4 series that allows competitors to use much more than half of that 120l tank.
All of these cars are getting way to expensive and are pushing into unobtainium territory for the majority of enthusiasts.
I will have one.....
