Here's my prediction, since the events of fallen order, the inquisitors have been hunting Cal and Cere non-stop. As a result, Obi is getting caught in the crossfire and ends up allowing either of them to escape.

I know this one could be just a reach but Cameron's current hairstyle looks a lot like Cal's from official artwork. It'd also make sense with it growing and therefore being longer than during JFO. Like I said, just a reach BUT possible since actors also have to keep certain aspects of their appearance in a way. I'd just love them to meet and I think it could work with the ending of JFO. Like Cal saw Obi-Wan through the holocron, destroyed it at the end to let the force guide him wherever he had to be. What if he ended up on Tatooine because the force led him to Obi-Wan and possibly Luke?
Cal is actually in my top three favorite characters of Star Wars of all time so I would love to see him get a live action appearance or even his own story and Cameron is such a great actor I think it would work amazingly
Your narration and vocal delivery has come such a long way, great job man - I can be really picky with what I watch and if i'm being brutally honest I struggled with some of the older videos but this is such an improvement - keep it up man
I could def see Cal showing up for Obi Wan. Especially after him popping up at Disney to show off that lightsaber. I was also hoping it was going to be him to pick up Grogu in Mando but sadly it was just more Luke.
This was the very first thing that popped in my head as soon as I saw the Inquisitors in the Obi Wan show. Not only would I love to see Cal in live action, it would also be a bonus to see a live action BD-1. I will lose my mind if your prediction becomes true. An Obi and Cal vs Vader duel would be _epic._
Cal is so underrated, he has a lot of raw strength in the force too which some people don’t realize. I’d love him to show up or referenced in the Kenobi series
I remember back when ahsoka was yet to appear in the mandalorian, hasbro released her black series lightsaber some months before, and in the promotional illustrations for the packaging, ahsoka was looking a lot like Rosario Dawson, even though the lightsabers were for the clone wars season 7, that was a way for them to give us a slight hint that in fact, ahsoka was coming to us delivered by Dawson. Last week, Hasbro released Cal's lightsaber and took tome pics of Actor Cameron Monaghan holding it, so I can only imagine something similar might be happening.
I think it would be interesting that IF Cal shows up that Obi-Wan actually learns something from Cal, something that helps spark that Hope in Kenobi. It doesnt have to be a Lesson, maybe just a Philosophy or a Mindset.
This is such a great idea that you know there is no way they'll actually do it. If they do, some of my hope in the current franchise will be restored after they did my boy Boba bad.
This is exactly what you don’t want to do before a show comes out if you want to actually get enjoyment out of it. Don’t write your own plot and then be disappointed when the show isn’t like that, just watch the show for what it is and base your enjoyment off of that.
@@PixlPlayer I can agree. I generally don't try to base my enjoyment of a show off of what would've been a better plot. Things are written the way they are and we cannot really do much about it. But I can't help but get enjoyment from writers who clearly care about what they write and respect the source material. Star Wars has a lot of great source material out there (a lot of it delegated to Legends now unfortunately) and taking some inspiration from it isn't a crime. I don't think it is necessary at all to introduce Cal in this, but I really hope to see him in live action at some point.
I mean Disney did more for Boba than Lucas did, let’s be real. He originally died in a pathetic fashion with zero payoff whatsoever. At least in the show he got to hang out with some Tuskans and ride a ranchor.
@@SmoothTurtle840 Boba's story in Legends is far better tbh. I agree that that was not exclusively Lucas' idea but the culmination of many different writers, but I promise you that Boba's story in expanded universe material is generally a better payoff than what we have gotten so far in the show. I'll add that imho we didn't need a Book of Boba in the first place. He plays very well as a side character who we do not know a whole lot about. Especially considering that when Disney acquired Star Wars and created Mando, Din basically became the quintessential bounty hunter character that most of the fanbase expects Boba to be. Not saying I am against taking him in another direction, but when you are outshined on your own show by another character who fulfills everything the fans want out of you, then something has gone wrong in the writing process. (edit: added the blurb about Book of Boba)
The timeline works out, too. JFO took place 5 years after Order 66 and Kenobi takes place 10 years after Order 66. Plus, there was a droid that looked a LOT like BD-1 in The Book of Boba Fett. Not saying it's the same droid(since that takes place like 20 years later), but it could be a tease to JFO characters appearing in future projects, which would be AWESOME. I won't be disappointed if he doesn't make an appearance or anything, but damn that would be cool.
TBOBF was a good show. It gave Boba an actual personality and his growth was phenomenal. Bane and Boba's fight was perfect thematically and Bane's live action look was amazing.
@@ArtyKibbles2190 yeah which is kinda boring, No offense to Blue lightsaber fans!! Personally I'd love to see it be Orange or Purple. Or Even Yellow. I feel like they chose a young up and coming actor to play Cal in the game so that they could bring him back in the future if ever there was an opportunity to do so, this is the perfect time to do it and it could also open a story thread for the next game, I believe at the end of the game Cal was pretty insistent on becoming a Jedi Knight right? Who better to give him some wise words than Obi-Wan?
This game was absolutely insane, and I have been desperately awaiting any hope of a Cal cameo, so this already amazing series, has a new glamour for me. I remain in wait, and I know how much Cal can add to the live-action universe
Loved this!!! I would so love to see live action appearances of Cal Kestis and Galen marek at some point. It would be like the Star Wars version of Spider-Man No Way Home. It would be epic!
i honestly think part of what makes jfo so special is the fact it’s an isolated story. not everything needs to tie into each other for a wow factor. sometimes a big universe should be just that.
The canonicity (I think that's the word) of the video games has always been in dispute when it comes to Star Wars, so I do wonder what the chances are of Disney acknowledging this one 🤔
The canonicity of the games post-Disney buyout is actually quite strong. Like the Vader Immortal VR game affected how Mustafar looked in Rise of Skywalker, the Battlefront 2 campaign directly shows how the Galactic Civil War actually ended, a BD model droid first seen in Jedi Fallen Order appeared in Book of Boba Fett, etc. Most of the time it's little stuff but it all does fit quite well.
Operation cinder from the battlefront 2 campaign was mentioned in mandalorian season 2 episode 7, and the compass you got as luke in the campaign was seen in the last jedi so they are connecting at least a little bit to the games.
9:10 That’s such a cool idea! Reminds me a bit of the grey Jedi from the duel episode of Star Wars visions. They should bring some Visions ideas into the canon imo, to enhance storytelling possibilities.
One thing I'd like to add. The grysk have basically replaced the Vong as the out of galaxy threat coming to wreck everything up. They were introduced in the Thrawn books and are the enemy that has been keeping the grand admiral out of known galaxy even years after his disappearance, and likely the future main villains of Star Wars after the sequels. Their live action debut will likely be the Ahsoka show but that isn't guaranteed.
I see your points but I disagree, I think Cal’s story should stick to the games for now and Kenobi’s should be his own as another cameo in a show that will already be filled with returning characters just doesn’t interest me imo.
I love Jedi Fallen Order! Cal would awesome to see in the show! His growth and journey in his game was awesome! While I disagree about Boba Fett, I look forward to seeing what the show will do and how far it can go. There are possibilities! I need Jedi Fallen Order 2, so much fun!
As the empire clearly doesn't know where Obi-Wan is in the beginning of episode 4, there is probably another reason for the inquisitors to show up on tatooine. Another jedi trying to hide there and Obi-Wan helping / trying to help them to find their own place, for example with Cals crew, while staying undercover would be interesting.
youre the kind of people that have the potential to contribute to the growth of a magnificent franchise. it should all be taken to account of the ideas that can build a fulfilling story
Putting Cal in the show would also force them to write a decent story for him. I feel like since he's from a different medium its less likely that people will even know who he is, so the best way to get people to get to know him is to make him a good and integral character to the show
I would love this. Celebration is May 26th to 29th, which is also the week the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi release, and where it is rumored that the sequel to Fallen Order will be announced.
Won’t lie, I’m getting really tired of how cameo focused Star Wars is becoming. It’s fucking awesome in the moment don’t get me wrong but the galaxy is starting to feel really really small. It’s getting to the point where I roll my eyes when I see yet another character we’ve seen show up so everyone can go “LOOK ITS XXXX CHARACTER”. I love Cal and Ahsoka but i don’t need for them to show up in other people’s shows. Give them their own stuff to do, and introduce us to new badass characters. Save cameos for moments where they’re absolutely needed like with Luke, where another character wouldn’t work as well. The High Republics been doing a really great job of fleshing out the galaxy more by introducing brand new interesting characters and I’d really like to see the rest of Star Wars incorporate some of that philosophy and slow down on the cameos.
Hiring Cad Bane, a guy who did a heist at the Jedi temple and kidnapped senators, to make sure that a drug cartel can set up operations on an irrelevant backwater planet, is the most idiotic plot point I could imagine for that show. It's so far below the man's pay grade.
I like the thematic of your proposed Vader fight but I think you’re overestimating cal’s usefulness in a duel with him. It would cheapen the Vader character to have him lose to and older less healthy obi wan and a not fully trained padawan
As much as this idea seems great, it counters a line said by Vader himself in the New Hope. "When last we met, I was but the learner. Now, I am a master." As simple as that line seems on the surface, it strikes to the heart of the matter. There was no mention of a second jedi fighting him in the battle. The line speaks only of skill levels, not numbers.
Unless Cal and Obi-Wan teaming up isn't the last time they meet. The video did say that there were supposedly two duels, right? Maybe Obi and Cal for the first one, and just Obi for the second? I don't know, just trying to make it fit. Lol
"Newer characters who logically should have been doing stuff during the OT being preoccupied saving the galaxy from the Vong" has been my biggest Star Wars wish since Ahsoka lived through Rebels.
I would love Kal getting to know Kenobi and depending how the Kenobi series turns out maybe Cal can get a storyline where Cal gets captured by vader because Cal knows were Obi-Wan is and than Cal loyalty gets tested what could really develop his characters
I disagree completely. I think what Star-wars needs is the character’s own stories. I’m actually hating the fact that so many previous established characters are making appearances in other shows. It makes the Star Wars universe feel small and not creative. Why can’t this show be about Kenobi and Kenobi only? Why must it have all these cameos and appearances ?
Something you don't realize is that the these people make total sense to be meeting. Mando needs to find other Mandos, there's not many left so who's left to find other than Bo? Mando needs to find a Jedi, who's left other than Ashoka and Luke? Want to assassinate someone? Who better to hire than Cad Bane. These characters are legendary in the galaxy, and others like them are hard to come by. If you don't want a known Jedi to cameo, then you'll need to go to the prequel Era where Jedi were abundant. Want less known bounty hunters? Use a lower priority target or less wealthy client. But here's the kicker. They've *been* using other characters aside from Cameos. They have all just paled in comparison to the cameos that happen by similar characters. They don't have the same shock factor as the people we know.
Because Kenobi’s life IS connected to a lot of other characters. I think it is important tot explore the connections between established characters. In a story where everyone and everything is connected through the force, and destinies cross paths with other destinies, why should they ever not try to show those connections? Just a thought
That one spoiler for the Fallen Order is a big one, I had no idea 'he' was in the game until, well you know ^^ Great vid and lets hope the reason why we don't hear of Cal later isn't because he dies in the Obi-Wan series and instead see Kenobi in FO2 🙏
I want Cal to be in the live action canon so bad. I was hoping the Jedi that showed up at the end of Mandalorian season 1 would be Cal but it was another freaking Skywalker.... I'm so sick of Skywalkers....
This might be over speculation, but Book of Boba I'm pretty sure had the first "Live Action" BD droid. which could be a nod but also could hint at him and BD-1 making an appearance, and that including being a test to see how BD droid would look in the environment
Its kind of exhausting as a non-SW fan, how much a series/franchise about a whole galaxy, is so focussed and fixated on a dozen or so people. Like, omg, its so boring how EVERYTHING revolves around these people. There MUST be more to the galaxy than some extended family and their self-involved antics.
I mean as a star wars fan I love seeing em, but honestly, kind of agree. I really think star wars should start moving toward the future. There's so much history in the SW lore but the movoes pretty much start and stop within like less than a 100 year time period
@@bluezebra6701 Every franchise is like this and it kinda stops me liking things I like. I don't think its good for us in general to be fed these narrow narratives within such limited scopes. I think we'd benefit from a wider perspective in stories and apply it to real life.
As a SW fan, I agree. There’s so much lore and opportunities for new characters and more unique stories exploring different corners of the SW universe. Mandalorian was a good first step, fleshing out only one or two of many many factions from only one era in the Galaxy. I need an Old Republic Sith Order vs Old Republic Jedi Order movie. Hundreds of Sith dueling hundreds of Jedi on screen instead of just one on ones or two on ones.
@@GrimNobody I think it needs to be wider than that still. The whole sith and jedi thing is reductive, oversimplistic and not only a poor metaphor for I don't know what, but isn't there anywhere in the SW galaxy that isn't on one side of some force cult? Its a little unimaginative.
I noticed when he was saying his favorite Star Wars games that he mentioned The Complete Saga, and Bombad Racing as well as ofc Fallen Order: I genuinely wonder if he has played Battlefront 2 (2005) or Republic Commando, as those games are typically what Bounty Hunter are to him, golden classics worth praise
I completely agree that Cal will likely die before New Hope. He is just too amazing a character to have him relegated to obscurity during the fall of the Empire. I could completely see him in Kenobi helping him defeat Vader, perhaps even sacrificing himself so that Kenobi can survive. Fallen Order II can always take place before the Kenobi series and we would just know Cal's eventual fate, much like we knew Vader's Fate during the prequels. Hell, maybe Cal and Ahsoka hook up and he is in the same place as her during the OT... out in the unknown areas looking for Ezra Bridger.

@@ArtyKibbles2190 Yeah for real. Obi wan is too strong. He defeated maul who killed the seventh and fifth inquisitor. So I feel like from the inquisitors there's no tension. Also the fact that the grand inquisitor got defeated by kanan who's also weaker than obi wan.
I hope they find good ways to develop tension. And not just making the villains fake powerful for the sake of it.
cpudude love your story pitch. That thread would allow Kestis & Cere to cameo into live action while maintaining freedom via Fallen Order 2's writers to explore other fresh storylines options not bound to the main saga.
@@TheFedoraFederalist true, but if Vader shows up to bring them back to inquistorius, obi would intervene to let them escape
@@SwaggerLikeUz it's the perfect set up. The trailer makes it look like the inquisitors are looking for obi, but that's not possible he's good at keeping a low profile. If they were following cal, it puts obi at risk.
I don't know how I would react If they fight Vader together with Duel of the Fates playing. That's just too epic to think about.
If they mixed it with Battle of the Heroes, that would make it better
I want the entire crew of Fallen Order fighting Vader together, including Cere und Merrin
Does the timeline work for Cal to appear? I mean, he's a child by Order 66 and this series doesn't look to be set too far after that.
I thought it was ten years after? Directly between Ep 3 and 4
Fallen Order is five years after Order 66, and this series is roughly ten years after order 66.
Order 66 Cal kestis was just 12 , 5 years passed and Cal hid on Bracca working for the scrapper guild .and is just 17 in fallen order assuming fallen order 2 cal will be 18 or 19. If cal survives that 2 years later he will be 21 and it will line exactly with the kenobi show timeline as cal will likely meet Quinlan Vos in my opinion.
Well he would be 22 since it would take place 10 years after order 66 when Cal was 12.
Kenobi is set ~5 years after JFO. It's entirely possible, but Cal will have to be makeup'd to be just a *little* bit older.
I loved Jedi fallen order and I can’t wait for its sequel and I really hope we can see cal in live action as soon as possible
Cal kestis is more important than we realise when he destroyed that holocron he saved all those children from the inquisitorius and the dark side
Saved from the inquisitors, but the dark side could always spread to them, now that they cant be protected from it by jedi.
@@FeedMeChaos1 if the jedi protect them it would draw the attention of the inquisitors and if the jedi lost the inquisitorius would torture them to the dark side Anyway
@@squiggle8333 yup, cant really win
@@FeedMeChaos1 what is that supposed to mean
@@squiggle8333 either the jedi intervene and turn them from the dark side but also lure the inquisitors, or they dont and the children naturally turn to it or get found and turned.
Well the theory is that there were 2 padawans who escaped the temple, one being the new inquisitor Reva, and another who’s on the light, searching for kenobi, could be Cal?
I watched this video after watching Kenobi and now my heart knows true sorrow
Both Obi-Wan and Cal are character who have suffered but never leant into the dark side.
Closest thing cal has gotten into the dark side is break his own lightsaber 😅
This didn’t age well
I just want to see more Merrin. She was my favorite character in Jedi Fallen Order and it would be cool to see her as a playable magic user akin to the sorcerer in Dark Souls. Probably won’t fit in thematically with Kenobi but one can dream
She is also really fit ngl

I’d lose my shit if Cal showed up. I love Cameron as an actor and especially as a Jedi. The dude even got his lightsaber in galaxy’s edge like why would they do that if the guy isn’t gonna get a live action version. We shall see, it’d definitely make sense especially if they want to focus on inquisitors in the show since cal had all his run ins. Also, a scene where cal gets an echo from anakins old saber could be so impactful
Cameron got his lightsaber in Galaxy’s Edge cuz people voted (beat Anakin, Qui-Gon, Kanan, Ezra, and Corvax with 40.79%) but I see your point. I’ve been headcanoning them meeting since I finished Fallen Order, and holy shiiit I have the exact same idea of Cal getting an echo from Anakin’s lightsaber for my fanfiction!!!🤯🤯
@@Kestiskywalker honestly his and ezra lightsaber dare probably the most unique looking
@@awesomerad6022 yeah but Ezra’s first one is a little uncivilized with the blaster, I like the second one more
I know this one could be just a reach but Cameron's current hairstyle looks a lot like Cal's from official artwork.
I really loved Jedi Fallen Order, hope Cal Kestis shows up in Live action
Cal could also deal with a return of the Nihil or expand on the Chiss that Ahsoka might do.
the chiss needs some love.
Cal meets obi wan in Jedi Survivor. Your relationship together is throughout the game. Very gun.
Ha bloody ha
We need him. He did a great job in Fallen Order and everyone is waiting for Fallen Order 2
Cal is so underrated, he has a lot of raw strength in the force too which some people don’t realize. I’d love him to show up or referenced in the Kenobi series
This was the 1st thing I thought of when I saw Kal's droid in the Book of Boba Fett TV show. Blew my mind and felt like they were hinting at something
It’s crazy how a star wars video game might be what saves this franchise
I remember back when ahsoka was yet to appear in the mandalorian, hasbro released her black series lightsaber some months before, and in the promotional illustrations for the packaging, ahsoka was looking a lot like Rosario Dawson, even though the lightsabers were for the clone wars season 7, that was a way for them to give us a slight hint that in fact, ahsoka was coming to us delivered by Dawson.
Last week, Hasbro released Cal's lightsaber and took tome pics of Actor Cameron Monaghan holding it, so I can only imagine something similar might be happening.
I'm now sad
In the new canon brotherhood book Anakin and Obi-Wan met Cal Kestis and Jaro Tepal.
I want Cal in a live action so bad. Also I would love to see Kyle Katarn in the mando timeline.
I think it would be interesting that IF Cal shows up that Obi-Wan actually learns something from Cal, something that helps spark that Hope in Kenobi. It doesnt have to be a Lesson, maybe just a Philosophy or a Mindset.
I'm kinda certain we will see Kal in live action in the future. Cameron is an amazing actor
Cal, rocking up to the second Vader duel: This guy again?
Obi, trying to figure out what that means: can you. Can you run that by me again?
I really just want stories to stand on their own in star wars
THANK YOU
I didnt know i wanted this till you brought it up
This is such a great idea that you know there is no way they'll actually do it.
This is something I didn’t know I needed until now they are almost perfect parallels amazing video man love this
Thank you so much for watching
Man this would’ve been way cooler than what we got instead
Wow thanks!
Watching this after his "Star Wars is dead" video hurts a littld
Cal is a great character I’d love to see this
It would be cool to see Cal if this happens right after the end of Jedi fallen order, I want live action Cal.
If he shows up, it'd be cool to see what his canon lightsaber color is
If I had to guess it’s most likely blue.
@@ArtyKibbles2190 yeah which is kinda boring, No offense to Blue lightsaber fans!!
Personally I'd love to see it be Orange or Purple. Or Even Yellow. Since if Cal is staying under cover, acting like a street level hero, just protecting different planets like a Jedi Sentinel from the old republic days, yellow would fit so well, especially since he's also very handy with Tech

I would love this. Sadly with the timeline the show and game are on it won't happen unless there's a time jump of a few years in Kenobi
Cal is my Favorite Star Wars Character Of All Time, i want to have more of him definitely definitely absolutely
Take a seat kid, we need to transition into a cutscene of landing on the planet and you cannot be standing up when that happens.
The canonicity (I think that's the word) of the video games has always been in dispute when it comes to Star Wars, so I do wonder what the chances are of Disney acknowledging this one 🤔
They said that it was and that it was a key factor of it
@@conordignum4287 Cal probably has a reason to go into hiding.
You can buy Cal's lightsaber at Disney World, so it must be canon?
Seeing cal would be amazing I’m so keen seeing him in live action
As much as i love Cal I feel as though Cal's appearance would overshadow the main story. A cameo doesn't make a show good
@@moonwhooper It's like when the mandalorian had a cameo episode in book of boba fett which completely overshadowed the entire show
@@StrangerOnTheWeb Tbf I don't think Cal is a big enough character to overshadow KENOBI.
I agree I also think obi wan losing easily to vader just to beat him with the help of cal sounds kinda ass and dont really make sense
Disney is not capable of doing something as smart and emotional as bringing cal kestus to live action sadly
The parts of disney Star Wars that I have liked so far: Rogue One, The Mandalorian Season one, Jedi: Fallen Order.
...
That's pretty much it.
I feel like since he's from a different medium its less likely that people will even know who he is, so the best way to get people to get to know him is to make him a good and integral character to the show
All the clone wars characters are already completely unfamiliar to the average Star Wars fan
Gave me HUGE chills thinking of Kenobi and Cal vs Vador wow that would be awesome with dual of the fates playing
Did you ever review Fallen Order?
and yes would love to see that unleashed and order comparison
Imagine cal touching anakins lightsaber and being flooded with memories of the clone wars and order 66 and the the duel between anakin and obi wan!
Ah that would be great! I wish I had spoken about that ability!
I’m glad this didn’t happen. With the awful writing of Kenobi, they would’ve ruined his character.
I would love this. Celebration is May 26th to 29th, which is also the week the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi release, and where it is rumored that the sequel to Fallen Order will be announced.
Cal showing up would be awesome…. Cameron Monaghan is great
I really am hoping for Cal to make it into Kenobi. It's the perfect time for it to happen, being about 5 years after the end of Fallen Order's events.
What a let down this show has been so far. So much potential wasted.
When I first saw this video I didn't exactly agree with you, but after watching it, I totally agree now, nice video man : ).
It's so far below the man's pay grade.
jesus, your explanation of how vader would feel after fight kal and obi wan gave me chills and mad me sad. that would truly be an emotional scene
Also bane ain’t dead lol, His lil Droid coming to save him
Definitely. He’s survived worse than a stab to a chest and we’re didn’t see Seth Green anywhere.
Well. This aged like fine wine
Oh well for that lol
Your videos always slap (pun intended)! Please keep ‘em cominh
hahah thanks Devon!
Because their stories tie in. It's not like the characters are just bumping into each other.
Andor will probably be the show for you
Oh boy looking back now, I'm kind of glad Cal wasn't in the dud that was Obi-Wan Kenobi. Disney kept dropping the ball and it's disheartening.
Don't ruin Cal
There aren't many if any franchises that are any different
That is what i want too.. We need more of Cal. Fantastic character that deserves more content.
He needs to meet Kyle “Chuck Norris” Katarn.
I noticed when he was saying his favorite Star Wars games that he mentioned The Complete Saga, and Bombad Racing as well as ofc Fallen Order:
I genuinely wonder if he has played Battlefront 2 (2005) or Republic Commando, as those games are typically what Bounty Hunter are to him, golden classics worth praise
This would be so cool and perfect because the actor is always portrayed in TV shows so it's right up his alley
Cal and Kenobi vs Vader with Duel of Fates in the background would be so perfect
To be honest, those lines in Obi wan trailer, "fight is done, we lost, stay hidden" sounds like he's talking to someone, another jedi.
