Patrena Shankling, sub unjustly fired by John Deasy (LAUSD Sup't)

Patrena Shankling testified today (Oct 29, 2013) to the LAUSD Board of Education about the disrespectful way she was treated by an out-of-control John Deasy, who berated her in front of her students on the second day of class in 2011. Ms. Shankling was a substitute teacher and John Deasy went so far as to fire her in front of the class, as she was following the lesson plan left for her. It is unclear what lead to John Deasy's tirade, though some district observers have commented that, as a new arrival, Mr. Deasy was trying to instill fear in the District's teachers and other employees.

Deasy should write a letter of apologiies to the substitute teacher and to the students that witnessed his unprofessional behavior.

Vladovic seems like quite a jerk himself the way he tried to cut off the speaker and seemed to have no interest whatsoever in hearing the rest of the story. Cheers to the two members who expressed an interest in hearing the rest of the strory. Deasy has a Ph.D. that was bought and paid for ...he attended classes for only 9 of the credits required for this degree...so it is a bogus degree.... he should be ashamed of himself. His behavior was beyond the pale of being acceptable. FIRE HIM NOW!
