WHAT A MORON of a superintendent! It's the second day of class, for Pete's sake. If a teacher does not get this kind of logistical thing out of the way, everything that follows will be chaos. It is not unusual to spend two days going over procedures, expectation, the syllabus, and setting up materials for use in the rest of the year! SMH This idiot was probably in the classroom for a year or two at most before he made the administrative leap. I have the same degree and I am still in the classroom because I love working with and teaching our students, not pushing paper and prowling the schools' classrooms, jacking up hard-working teachers by telling them everything (in a micromanagement way) that is wrong with their instruction!

Well siad... Teaching from the Ottoman point of view is denialism. Yes, that would be like teaching about the Jewish Holocaust from the Nazi point of view. Mr Fletcher's only real concern is about not being able to find a job after his school closes. As he stated he likes being left alone by the higher ups because he has caught on to the Gulen way of doing things. Don't make waves. Dont talk to me, don't ask qustions, just shut up clock in, go through the motions and pay day is on Friday. Other than that we get along just fine in a Gulen business. They haven't handed over their 2nd set of books yet, or mentioned they lied to the state 4 days after they were denied to gain a $6 million facility grant. Their teaching is even a bigger joke than their teachers who are ESL that teach "English". One more thing about Ottoman Turkish Culture. These schools have Turkish clubs and participate in Turkish Olympiads where students perform and focus only on 1 culture, that of the administrators of this crap show called the Gulen Movement operated Magnolia Science Academy. The parents in the background look clueless and snowjobbed, not a very smart group of parents, they look like they just jumped the border to USA.

One more thing: if you are teaching anything that denies that the Turks in power at the time were not responsible for the Armenian Genocide, or in any way lessens their culpability in the Armenian Genocide, then you are a disgrace to the teaching profession. Is THAT one of the "multiple points of view" that you teach to your 10th grade students?
