  • Okay so this could be a long video if you want but I talked a little bit about how how to do the release on connector so the installation process of it can be easier

It was a pain in the ass trying to install the mechatronic sealing sleeve. I watched many videos and nothing helped. This video gave me a idea?
Very true you need to push in sleeve and twist slowly until notch slides in the mechatronic. Try it a few times until you feel comfortable it has slide in 2mm. Use a 32mm Wrench to push sleeve inside. Put the round head of wrench, anchor and pull. Takes a few seconds to push in. Pull wrench again and push up security lock. Don't forget to add some oil to the O rings to make things easy. The best way to do this job. Hope it helps others

Man, wish I had watched your video before I torqued mine in. I tried to duplicate doing it outside as you did but it was hard and someone mentioned it was easier to do it once the body was on. The 8nm translates to 5.87 so I rounded it off to 6 fp. Thanks for the tricky part of how that tab works.

    I figured it out.
Latch will not lock, with out the sleeve in correct position.
The sleeve needs to be at 2mm, from the wall.
To get the sleeve to 2 mm, it required the use of a 24mm rsocket. I gently pushed.the sleeve in.
    Then victory!!
Don't be concerned about the latch not locking. The sleeve must be in correctly, then it latches.
Thank you for posting this video!!!!!!!!

Did you loosen the mounts to drop transmission to get room or was that not necessary?

Hi Abraham, managed eventually with the latch and Mechatronic sleeve, removed the exhaust and gearbox mounting for better access to make sure the sleeve went in squarely and far enough and the latch slid easily into place. Crap design in my mind.
Thanks once again for the video.

Gareth Davies you know keep in mind that we trying to save us much as time possible removing the exhaust might cause other problems such as broken studs strip nuts etcetera so that it's time to the bill which at the end of the day sometimes it's not even paid by the customer if you know what I mean but the fact is that yeah I thought about it but I think it's not worth it

I'm also having this issue. Can you answer a few questions?
    1) Is it normal, that the sleeve latch will not lock with the sleeve being absent?
    2) Once the sleeve is in it's correct position, then the sleeve will allow the locking latch to engage?
#) Did you eventually figure it out?
    Thank you great video!!
