How after changing the valve body, how did your car run? And how long did it last? With a tune and more power, I am curious to see how long the tranny and mechatronic/valve body is holding up. I tried a sonnax kit, to no avail. So I am getting a Revmax upgraded remanufactured unit this Friday. Got a gear ratio monitor 3-4 error before attempting to repair the valve body with sonnax. Got the same error after sonnax update on the valve body so took tranny out and replaced all seals, o rings, new oe clutch friction discs, new steels kit and new Propulsive Dynamics bushings. Got the same error even after the bushing and tranny o rings and seals... So basically, the valve body was too shot to repair with the sonnax zip kit.
The valve body was difficult for you to put in simply because where the gasket was with 4 little gaskets it's kinda like a compression fitting you have to oil it then it will snap right in just like an ac compression line with the "o" ring
Hi . My vehicle shows the selenoid fault 3-4. The overdrive fails at speeds of 60/80 km / h. Sometimes it does not apply the recoil until a good time of heating the vehicle. Which selonoid should I change? What other problems do you think my transmission has?
did you find your plate number? to be sure, take the valve body out and look on the side. the plate sticks out with huge numbers the size of your pinky. can't miss it. 6hp19Z is the BMW designation for the 6hp21 (zf designation) I believe. The two companies do not follow each other's nomenclature.
This was a pain in the ass. I did all this and changed the sleeves and now my 335i wont start. Its giving me some transmission error. I double checked the shift linkage and the mechatronic sleeve is in place and the plug is connected. I really had to press the mechatronic sleeve in to get the white tab on the valve body to click. I dont know what's causing the error.
No, i took the car in to a tranny guy and he figured it out because i spent too much time on the damn thing. I think the mechatronic plug adapter sleeve has to be really pushed in with some type of leverage like a pry bar or something. The white tab on the mechatronic unit should just push into place without hardly any effort. If the white tab is not pushing in easily then it is not lined up and the plug adapter needs to pushed in further or something.
Nice video! Did you use the genuine fluid when you put it back in? If not what did you use and how many km/miles since? Is it still running sweet with non genuine fluid? Cheers
Man the adapter seal on the bmw with the lock is a pain. But very good info and very accurate as you say. Thanks!
Will be doing this job tomorrow , hope the weather will be nice here in Sheboygan, wi, thanks for the awsome lil tips

HELLO I NEED TO KNOW WHERE THE SPRINGS AND BALL GO IN THE SHIFH UPPER VALVE BODY...ANY HELP PLEASE WILL BE SUPER.
Hello, my transmission is slipping too. how did you determined the valve body was the culprit? or was it the torque converter?

What parts do you need to rebuild your transmission because I’m trying to rebuild my transmission for my BMW 335i N54
какой момент затяжки болтов гидроблока???
9:00 🙌🏽🙌🏽
You know that black rectangular block gasket, that thing will break in the trans and make it stop shifting when the fluid gets hot.
REPLACE IT !!!!!

Davanodu did u fix it?? Mine has same problem. Was told to replace valve body
Changed a mechatronic sleeve and that internal seal on an e60 recently ....common faults I hear.
Esta Caja NO ES ZF6HP21 es solo la HP19 ya que tiene 7 válvulas Solenoides y la HP21 tiene 9
No. El de 9 es electronic shift
El 7 manual. Y si es zf6hp19.
Hi i drive Bmw 335i e90 2007, my transmission is GA6HP19Z!

Matt Tretheway i was told the fluid you can put in it is regular ATF 2
