Yeah afr 13:1 gonna install a window in their block. I'm worried about the unknown... I have an Accessport for my Mazda, and I monitor everything, all the time. 23psi, 18.5° of spark advance at 6700rpm, 11.67:1 AFR, 1800psi fuel pressure, 70% wgdc, 93% IDC. I'm too meticulous to throw a 'chip' onto a car and just hope for the best.... Could always get an AFR gauge and install that, but you'd have to tap for a new o2 bung on the downpipe.
Have you dyno'd any other cars with a RaceChip Module? For every video that shows impressive results like yours, I can find another that says it is junk and doesn't provide anywhere near the gain.
A dyno doesn't necessarily give really accurate numbers. The difference between two pulls on the same dyno is what matters. I can tell you right now with 100% certainty. A stock Forte GT DOES NOT have 197 horsepower at the wheels. No power train has anywhere even close to 100% efficiency. That's a crank number.
That car would need to pull at least 230 horsepower at the crank from factory, which does not happen. That dyno was spitting out numbers that ADJUSTED for powertrain loss.
My car did do 191 whp not crank. That was the average for five Dyno pulls. It also did 201 whp with e20 stock tune. Do not tell me what my car does I have the graphs. 191 whp on 91 octane. Dsport did 184 whp in their car.
so on this test, which chip was used? baseline, rs, or gts chip? edit, never mind rewatched it and saw it was the gts. now is this just plugged in or specific maps on the app?
All these devices operate basically the same. With the app control you can set it more aggressively. I believe it's 7 maps and up to 7 on the driving mode, I have to check that. But these higher setting require more octane. They really don't tell you this but in testing with 91 octane similar boxes can't use the higher settings because of our fuel here in California. But there are ways around it.
Yes but no because it doesn’t flash the ECU so the computer won’t show anything. If the dealership were to find out you got this they could void your warranty

Put it on mine,Went in easy starting at 1. Gradually going up to 7 over the course of a couple hours. 1-5 was fine but 7 was too much for the car. The engine started smelling like it was frying. Tried the next day running the car VERY lightly on 7 to work. (30 miles) The car was not throwing any lights, but seemed like it was overheating because of all the heat coming out from under it. the fan even stayed on after i turned the engine off. It got really loud too and didnt shut off until i turned the ignition on and off a couple times. Definitely would NOT recommend if u want to always have the power available. Maybe for a run or two vs a friend or something. But not if u want all the power for daily driving. I feel like the system while plugged in and turned off, retards the system to give the engine even less than stock hp and tq numbers to give the illusion that, it's actually doing something when its on. @@zerocolorado1721 it is 100% not traceable. Its a Piggy back that is plugged in line with the ecu and sensors. It is not a flash that is traceable
Have you done on the road test of this racechip equipped Forte??
Yes,
We have had this car on the track countless times with the chip and daily driven for 25k
Are you able to monitor anything at all with the racechip app? Just curious what afr and trims are looking like?
this device does not have logging capabilities
Yeah afr 13:1 gonna install a window in their block. I'm worried about the unknown... I have an Accessport for my Mazda, and I monitor everything, all the time. 23psi, 18.5° of spark advance at 6700rpm, 11.67:1 AFR, 1800psi fuel pressure, 70% wgdc, 93% IDC. I'm too meticulous to throw a 'chip' onto a car and just hope for the best.... Could always get an AFR gauge and install that, but you'd have to tap for a new o2 bung on the downpipe.
Is there anything for the new Hyundai i 20 N 1.6,204 Hp?? How much more will go ??
It should work because it's exactly the same engine...
Would this chip work for the forte LXS?
no because it does not have a turbo.
I have a 2022 Kia Forte GT line with the 147 horsepower engine will this chip work on my car ?
Sadly there is no Racechip for the Forte GT line
Does anyone know if it’ll work with my 2019 Forte ex
Stock dyno run was 155whp? Jesus that’s like a 48hp drivetrain loss over advertised power
Can you guys do it on the ex
The chip just alters data being sent to the ECU to get more boost from the turbo. They will not work on naturally aspirated vehicles.
No different engine.
Have you dyno'd any other cars with a RaceChip Module? For every video that shows impressive results like yours, I can find another that says it is junk and doesn't provide anywhere near the gain.
What map setting was used
Base power is low. I did 197 whp stock period. My car is manual transmission.
Have you run acceleration times via draggy
My car did do 191 whp not crank. That was the average for five Dyno pulls. It also did 201 whp with e20 stock tune. Do not tell me what my car does I have the graphs. 191 whp on 91 octane. Dsport did 184 whp in their car.
@@lucp6066 No they don't because the owner likely doesn't have the driver mod since it's an automatic.
Which version of the race chip Pandamotorworks offers for the Kia Forte GT did you happen to use for the demo video?
GTS W/APP
Will it cause my check engine light to come on if so how do we fix that?
@@juneloko 3 weeks and 3k miles later no check engine lights here. Get the hks plugs for it if u want to run map 7 and always pump premium fuel
I'm really enjoying the chip on my car but the app keeps telling to register im lost plz help me out
Heyyyyy MISSOURI🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Isn’t the base turbo 202? So it only jumped 18?
202 is to the crank
The #'s you are seeing here is to the wheels.
I just saw another video of the same chip and the check engine light stayed on
so on this test, which chip was used? baseline, rs, or gts chip? edit, never mind rewatched it and saw it was the gts.
now is this just plugged in or specific maps on the app?
Correct we used a GTS with App Control
All these devices operate basically the same. With the app control you can set it more aggressively. I believe it's 7 maps and up to 7 on the driving mode, I have to check that. But these higher setting require more octane. They really don't tell you this but in testing with 91 octane similar boxes can't use the higher settings because of our fuel here in California. But there are ways around it.
@@dj4monie That I didn't know. the octane part. but I run 93 in my Veloster Turbo. was looking for proof of the chip working before I purchased one.
How do I install this
Any idea if they sell these for the 2021kia forte GT. The company won’t return my emails. Are these legit? Do you really get that much horse power?
Yes They Really Work!
Is this tune more friendly with the manual or the dct as of reliability
This will not hurt the transmission!
Does this void your warranties from the dealer?
Yes but no because it doesn’t flash the ECU so the computer won’t show anything. If the dealership were to find out you got this they could void your warranty
What map setting did you run it on I believe it has 1 through 7
Pulls form this video were done in map 7! We also had 93 in the tank and step colder spark plugs installed.
@@PandaMotorworks after watching this video I went ahead and ordered it put the hks m45xl plugs in it. Straight piped the car and deleted the exhaust resonator dropped in a k&n air filter and now waiting for my hot pipe to arrive. Wonder how much hp it'll put down 🤣 feels pretty good for a little roller skate.
Will this work on a 2016 forte5? 2.0 no turbo
No, RaceChip only work on turbocharged vehicles as their primary means of gaining power is turning up the boost
Do I need to change my gas ? If so what would be the easiest way in doing son
Premium octane fuel is recommended for higher maps, but not required. It will run fine on regular
What are the AFRs? Can the stock fueling keep up with the increase in air/boost. Don't wanna run kean and pop my wife's motor.
Yes they can. When doing the testing RaceChip makes sure the ECU can keep up with the changes. We have tested this unit for years now on the 1.6 with no issues
@@PandaMotorworks if I flashed it, and then installed a downpipe, it would magically produce more power without bumping timing or boost?
Does this work on the 2022 GT with a turbo?
Yes this fits a 2022 Forte GT!
I thought the gt came with 201 whp n 195 torque factory
Those numbers are rated at the crank, which does not account for drivetrain loss. A dyno helps measure how much HP/TQ a car makes to the wheels.
@@PandaMotorworks that's a weird result cuz my heavier 2021 forte gt dct is faster than a lighter current gen civic Si (2022) which have been dyno at about 230hp to the crank (so about 200whp).
Any idea what WHP is for a manual transmission for this car stock?
201hp and 195pft to the crank. As seen on the video, that's 158hp to the wheels and 165 pound feet of tork.
@@Frank-hg9rl this car has the dct automatic transmission, a significant amount of power loss occurs over the drive train with the automatic
@Ed Findlay got any facts to back that assumption up?
Sponsored by racechip 😆
GE1 W8R kinda sounds weird
Do you know anyone who has made axlebacks or a catback for the forte gt 1.6t
We are working on getting more manufactures on board with this platform
@panda motorworks
Can i do one on ex plus? Fortr
No. Different engine.

Does this chip work on a gt-line?
It does not

@@PandaMotorworks racechip does work on the gt stinger.

Spent all that for a non turbo yikes.
Only for gt? Not for gt line?
Correct. Bc one has a turbo and the other doesnt.
If someone with a GT-Line wants to go fast they should’ve just bought an actual GT.
Work on the 21 k5 1.6t?
Check out the race chip website it’s cheaper and will let you select all the options and they have a warranty!
Yeah they don't have it yet. Thanks.
Looking for the same to new yet
Traded the K5 and just picked up a 21 Forte GT... also just got my racechip 😎
I got GTS for my 16 forte5 sx... you feel the boost increase, even on high rpm
Will this work on a 2022 gt
? Did you find the answer
Maybe thats just me losing hope in the product after my experience. i havent taken it to a dyno to verify this, but thats how i feel now :P
its because you weren't running 93 octane my man.
Gotta run hks spark plugs too I believe. Much cooler running plugs
I've been running mine for 3 weeks on map 7 and 3k miles later no issues. Hks m45xl plugs and premium gas are what you're going to need for map 7
What car we talking tho

Yes it works great 2020 EGT same engine
does anybody know of any tunes/chip tunes on a 2020 gt-line
I Need to tune my 2.0L 2019
Racechip works on the gt cars
Umm stocks 188 to the wheel, how the hell does it get 155 to the wheels? You didnt even push it.I call bs you can check with other motor shops, alot of people are really tarnishing this car its beats stock civic si's all day. You lowered the stats just to make a sale
The baseline was exactly how you saw it in the video. Why did it read lower? we are not sure! This is a DSG 100% stock car.
regardless of the baseline the Race Chip Saw big gains and will help you beat even moded Civic Si's :)
I wouldn't accused them of that but there rep in the Focus ST space is so-so. I did 197 whp, 91 octane. You have 93 and did worse. I did 201 whp with slight change stock tune.
@@dj4monie ur right came off strong, I just dislike how misinformed people are with this engine. It's the same from the koup and shops like Tork motors have stage 1 tunes 240-270hp on stock turbo and stage 2 bigger turbo 300-340hp, and they have done dynos for the car.
@@dj4monie and even stock dyno test report 188 to the wheel, I understand its rating is 201 hp and loses power as it converts to the wheels
We shared the most accurate info we have. We are not miss informed and do not go off what others read.
Not every dyno reads the same as well.
15% loss from the engine to the wheels would be roughly 170 at the rated 201.
What to watch in this video is not the start #'s but the end result. For me it saw a great gain at any starting # that people want it to be. It is a 5min install with an extra warranty if the dealership somehow denies you. That is unlike any other piggyback on the market.
Like I have stated before this is not the best option. We will always recommend custom tuning over a piggyback but for what it is this unit offers a lot of great features that meet some peoples goals and we wanted to share the info for those that are looking for a quick and professional unit to install.
Stock gt is 208 hp your missing like 60 hp
at the crank...not the wheels...thats how Manufacturers always advertise their HP.....
in your dreams :)
Did you guys do the fine tuning option to get your tune shown here?
Nope just mode 7 on the RaceChip
Wow! That's all I can say. I will also say...155whp stock?? What is up with that Kia?!?!?
I think with this Gen forte it makes much higher wheel hp.
Our dyno is notorious for reading low. However, even at a lower starting number the gains are extremely impressive!
