Cutting that curve at over 150km/h and clocking over 200km/h without any screeching.. amazing
Yokohama!!! 😁
Looks very planted. Good brakes, good tires.
I do think, that at this stage the engine needs some tweaking. I personally think the sweetspot will be 240-260hp
It's not the engine but gearbox where the problem is, it can't take much more than stock
The car will get more horsepower in the future again, it had more before the video. But I'm developing a own transmission software, and we had to test it under these conditions on track that we know it runs properly 😊
@@alloverdover3080 that's not right, we tested the transmission with over 400nm and it works perfectly. The transmission is programmed by ourselves and shits really smooth and temperatures are perfect in it.
@@axelaxel1231 but the question is: how is the durability of clutch with over 400nm and where to look for the traction with such torque :D
@@alloverdover3080 the transmission and clutch is really capable with 400nm... but above you could have issues.. but some guys are already testing an upgrade clutch pack

@@peachulemonI don’t understand, that Hyundai doesn’t deliver the 2.0l engine from the i30n to their daughter company Kia?
These cars have a lot of potential. Great chassis and suspension. I had a 2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport that is basically the same underneath. It was modified extensively for handling (I did lots of touge and autocross with it) They share a platform along with the 19+ Veloster and the i30 hatch. So parts are plentiful as most can be swapped from one to the other. Sold the Elantra a couple years ago and insanely regret it. I bet the issue this car was having in the video was the same reason I sold the Elantra, there is a stability system hidden deep in the system that (as far as I know currently) cannot be removed, so the car will cut power mid-corner under high lateral g-forces. That was a hard limitation for me and the main reason I sold the car.
Woah!
Commenting for visibility
You are right !
This guy just understood how dope this GT will drive 🫡 Car is gonna be awesome
Sold my 2022 Forte GT at the start of the year as it was a DCT. Found a 2024 GT manual and these cars are a blast to drive while being easy on the pockets. Came from a 2019 VT2 I have been so impressed with platform.
It's the electrical steering servo crap clonking noise prob.. standard Kia and hyundai issue 😮👍
Please pin this comment!
I had Cerato/Forte GT before switching to I30N..it was lovely to see mischa drove this on Nurburgring..fantastic always
It's gorgeous and I so enjoyed listening to the advice and compliments 💜
About time someone has built something on this platform. Kia forte gt is very underrated
Please drive a stinger V6 around the ring!
Oh yes plz my grandad has a stinger V6 😂😂😂
Yeah! That would be cool! I've got a 3.3 GT and I love it. Excellent daily driver!

He did ;) just look at the newest Videos.
Totally
Check the steering shaft for binding. VW/Audi B chassis have that problem.
In Australia we call this the Cerato
Every time you had steering issues you could hear a clunk and it’s very noticeable at the end when you bring it up. Maybe an alignment issue or rack. Looks like some sort of bump steer
Love that you featured a Kia forte GT!
Regarding the steering issue. I had this with my 2011 Audi A4. Driving straight it’s fine. Slight turn it’s fine. When you need to turn it further it felt very heavy.
It turned out to be the UJ at the end of the steering column that goes into the rack.
Remove it and one way it’ll be loose but the other way it’ll be very stiff.
If yours is this issue then it’s a nice easy fix. 👍🏼
I love my ProCeed GT FL, but it's by no means a RaceCar. It's a sporty variant. What I dont realy understand is that he paid for panoramic roof, which comes with electronic seats, just so he can throw them out of the window...
I bought the car stock and without any plans to go on track.. but then covid arrived and I just thought, we can't do anything outside, but ee can work on the car, so than it moved further and further due to covid pandemic
Because in many countries GT versión is a close equipment.
A very good lap time. Shows you do not need a high hp figure. Just a capable car and great driver!
what a beautiful car didn't know the model! Never thought i would see a KIA this beautiful!
Great lap
I own a 2022 Kia Stinger GT and it's the best car I've ever owned. Massive upgrade from my previous 2016 Audi S5
I’m a big Kia fan but surely the S5 was better?
@@Hutchy86You would think, but that's when I learned why everyone says German cars are unreliable trash.
My S5 was babied, oil changed every 3k miles, always warmed up before accelerating hard, kept very clean, etc.
In my 3 years of ownership it went into limp mode 3 times, needing to go to the dealer to fix it. The speedometer and infotainment systems randomly stopped working, again needing to go to the dealer. A pully on the super charger broke and destroyed the supercharger and I needed a new engine, which thankfully was covered by the warranty.
Needless to say, I sold the car as soon as the warranty ended.
I've had my Kia Stinger for about the same time, and I've had zero issues. On top of it being faster, having a nicer interior, and having a bigger trunk. Oh, and funny enough it's more rare and gets more attention.
@@TheRealCatof I had Audi s2 and now 2018 Stinger! Superhappy!
@@TheRealCatof wow you had a very rough time and yeah I get the whole German thing. I’ve always been a Japanese car enthusiast due to the technology and reliability but have recently moved to Kia and couldn’t be happier with the Koreans. I drive a tricked up Forte/Cerato GT. Wanted the Stinger but couldn’t justify spending double. The Koreans have come a very long way.
@@TheRealCatof I have the 3.3 Stinger too. The S5 was close on my list but from what I've heard people that switched to the Stinger only miss the all wheel drive grip (which we can't get on the Stinger, at least not here in the UK). The S5 is way more expensive for similar spec, not faster and generally more unreliable/glitchy. Maybe a tad more refined? But IMHO the Stinger looks better and yep I've have 38 people ask me about it in two years of ownership. You don't get that with a 440i or S5 nor a 7 year warranty.
Good Job on the Proceed GT!
It show that every cars with proper mods is really enjoyable 👌
Thats the reason I'm building it❤... its not the car you would expect on a trackday.. but its really enjoyable to drive .. this little issue we had, wich we didn't had before is a point we have to fix.. but like I mentioned, there are heavy upgrades incoming!
@@axelaxel1231 Cars will always have little problems at some point, especially when you're on the track haha, I'm happy for you that this car is still evolving, you can never see enough original cars! Thanks for sharing anyway!
I kinda like it, the guy first prepared the car for handling and will take care of power later, quite cool actually... But I agree, it looks like 420hp not only 210 :DD
On the EV6 you have to hold "turn off ESP" for 10 sec to fully turn it off. Don't know if it is the same for this car. Cool ride though :)
On my GT you also have to hold down the ESP button for 10 seconds to completely turn off all systems
@@MrMi87 everything was turned off!
You cannot turn everything off, when you try to do lift off oversteer the minute you release the gas stability control kicks in and when you turn the wheel at speed it cuts power the more you turn the wheel. Had a 2019 Proceed GT and tried to have fun in the winter and not really possible, even in snow.
It may not be a hidden safety system that's affecting the steering. It might be something physically binding due to the lowering of the car without checking clearances. If it's happening during braking, the travel might be bottoming on something. Also, Misha said the RPMs dropped too, so it could be the front axles getting bound up somehow?
There are no hidden systems , it's something mechanical we have to figure out. But we will work on it cause it wasn't last year... so it's a problem we didn't know and we didn't hat it before. But we will fix it soon
@@axelaxel1231 Привет, обрати внимание на вакуумный насос и трассы вакуумной системы, где то подсасывает воздух. /
Hi, pay attention to the vacuum pump and the vacuum system lines, air is being sucked in somewhere.
@@axelaxel1231look for the comment i also responded too! Someone is explaining what this problem you have is
@SeanSer we will find out soon, when the car is back in the workshop.. everything is marked with paint underneath the car, so if something is lose or changed its position, we will see it instantly. Happy that I've found a professional company now wich will do work on that car😊. But yeah we also thing something was binding or rubbing cause of clearances.
If we found that issue, we will tell it

I wrote the exact same comment right here in response before and it gone...
I'm not a mechanic but I think that The car is fitted with some kind of torque vectoring system.
It grabs the corresponding brakes while turning in high speed to help the car turn in more, and harder.
it's possibly tuned to be sharp by Kia and in 9:12 it sounds like maybe the ABS kicks in followed by a very fast turn in even because it was so sharp. and they do this to 'hide' understeer and to give more 'sporty' steering feel - which I guess it would be fine for a typical driver, but not for an experienced driver like you :)
and it's possible that the GR Yaris has it too.
Good cornering capabilities for a wagon, with 100 more hp it would also be good on the straights.
Nice car
I havea 21 forte gt and in sport the steering does get pretty stiff . I don't know if u had LKA on , that seems to interfere. And you can't truly deactivate the traction control , it still has protection measures for the drive train that are still there .
PLEEEASE Kia Stinger next!! I need to drive vicariously through you
Awesome! 👍🏻👌🏻
1:22 i see that kia stinger :)
I envy the owner in a good way... Still don't have the money to afford a car like that, I probably won't be able to afford in the near future, so thank you Misha and owner for doing these clips, so that I'm able to enjoy the ride !
❤Reminds me of getting Grand Turismo licences
Great platform, just need a power boost
Should try the older proceed gt aswell the 2 door version comes in manual only could be fun
Алексадр! Привествую! А вы в двс какое масло заливаите?
Investigate the scrub raduis geometry. It could be providing incorrect feedback under braking conditions on turn in!
dang i have a sonata 1.6t this gives me hope for the platform
I just love, when car that no one expect turn into proper track toy
Where do you get this speedometer and rpm meter? In my Proceed GT MY24 they are totally different but I like these much better, with the digits in the middle and the ring around it. Is this custom, or was it an older style that they got rid of in the new model?
I know they changed some stuff, a friend has a MY21 Proceed GT and he can display newtonmeters torque, but they replaced the menu item in MY24 with some stupid coffee cup emoji that tells you if you have been awake or not for the last 15 minutes (who needs this?)
Proper KDM Content is always welcomed
Maybe something like some kind of leftover electronic safety net trying to counter turn-in by just actuating one side of the brakes and that generates a similar effect to torque steer.
No electronics wich caused the problem. Something mechanical is the problem. We will see in the workshop
@@axelaxel1231 I'm putting in my guess of failing spider gears turning it into a locked diff every now and then. Most likely to happen in corners when they are working the most.

The sensors are sensing the lines on the track and doesn't want you to cross them. My equinox has them
No, I don't think so. You can easily disable the lane-assist sensors in the Proceed GT, it's just one long button press and they're completely off.
im new to the channel, seen about 20/25 videos in a 2 day span, was wondering if you ever plan doing a motorcycle run on this channel or does your driving skills stick to cars only , if you did one already lmk.

@mgcharoudin Could the blocking your talking about be something to do with an overly intrusive lane assist?

Doesn't it have electronic steering? My Kia Rio SLS has it.

Drived one of these. With 265hp, It was crazy quick for FWD wagon. and its not even mean to be fast XD
this is one if mishas more leisurely drives . i think with all the other mods this car needs full bolt ons to really make use of it and have some fun

Doesn't it have electronic steering? My Kia Rio SLS has it.
Is yellow stuff worth getting ? I want some decent breaks and im not gonna be pushing more then 230hp. Its also my daily car 😂😅
Go for greenstuff , it's enough. Yellow is pretty aggressive
This car needs the G4KH engine in there.
The car blocking you from steering in is lane departure assist, in every car that has that as a feature it is something you can turn off permanently. I've done so in my GR Corolla now that I've had multiple occassions that it has attempted to steer me into cars that I'm passing.
Everything was turned off 😉 no lane assist or something like that was working
Hi have the Proceed GT with 204HP standard what should the max to boost this engine
in the proceed gt, you need to hold the ESC/TC button for a while, for all the assists to stop.
source: proceed gt owner.
Nice comment, but maybe you think we are a bit stupid😂😂.. everything was turned off! Esc and everything else in the menues... and cause of programming we know that there's nothing more wich would help the car.. on normal roads even with Esc on I can let the csr oversteer quite heavily without any Esc regulations... so.we think its an mechanical problem somewhere

Which brakes u buy?
I've never understood why they did not come up with proceed "GTR" version of this car. Basically just 2.0T from i30N with 8 speed DCT, some sort of diff and maybe 4x4. That would sell like hot cakes.
I just got one recently and now i don't understand that even more... probably Hyundai never let them to do so...
They even buried the 1.6 L / 204 HP motor now, they'll only still make the 1.5 L with 160 HP because of stupid EU or German climate laws. I'm so glad I still bought the GT last November, it's a really nice car all around. Just a perfect every day driver that looks good, drives well and isn't too slow.
car screams for more power
As far as i know he had a setup with more power but is not driving it at the moment.
May the steerinc issiue come from the servo engine from the steering, that it can't handle the wheelgrip and shuts off?
I kind of like this answer the best
Nice Mods. ;-) Dont worry - its a1,6 with small Turbo and heavy weight. So compare to a stock Model, this is way faster.
Yeah with me inside and misha, also stuff in the trunk we talk at about 1700KG!
I nice, a new video i really need to watch, because i know the owner of this car.
Last Meeting this Month i had a chance to drive with him and it was really nice ;)
The wheel locking thing is because of e-diff, it's not about the diff, it just brakes the spinning wheel, its cheaper than a proper lsd, but I think better not have.
That's wrong, there's no E Diff and no brake that's modulated by the electronics!
My dream affordable car
Who needs a gym when you have this car 😊
the blocking - maybe it has some weird "line assist"?
Whole car looks pretty planted and nice to drive. Koreans went a long way from Hyundai Pony times!
Yes seems to me car thinks risk of oversteer on turn in so restricts steering angle to try to combat it before it happens

I drove the car 2 laps after that and pushed it even harder, and I felt that issue too. Last year we hadn't these problems , so we have to figure it out

Sounds like lane keep assist was left on?
It wasnt
Just thought about the steering problem you have discribed…
Maybe it’s the active “lane departure warning / holding system”?! when you’re at the white lane it wants to hold you on your lane?!
Hey, no everything was 100 percent off, seems like we have an mechanical problem wich ends in to much tourqe for the electrical steering motor wich ends his work then. We have to see in the next days what we can find, and then we will fix ist.
But all electronics were off in that lap. There was no assist that worked. Its hard to know when your not in the car or you driven it. So for most people they think lane assist, but it wasn't. Its hard to describe the feeling, when you're not in that car. It was far from dangerous, but we had to make sometimes a bit more chilled into corners.
That issue wasn't last year, so I can say 100 percent nothing with driving aids! Must be a combination of mechanical things and something else.
But it's good to find new things out, then we can improve these.
