What are your thoughts about the video? Do you think you could handle a deployment?

Currently in MCJROTC at my highs hoop, and looking to attend the naval academy afterwards. Currently a senior as a friend graduated 2 years ago and was the only from our school to go to the naval academy as he was the only one to apply. And then I will make my decision there 😊 I want to step out of my comfort zone and try new things and the navy seems like that’s it!

MM3 here! I looooved deployment! It was dope! There’s a lot of hard parts about deployment but getting qualifications and learning more shit about my job makes me happy!! I’m happy to serve my country! Going to San Diego for new orders!

This video was how I found this channel. This looks so amazing and I’m so excited about it. Many people may not like working on a ship months on end but this looks so amazing, like a dream for me!
I’m actually in the application process. Please please pray for me! 😣

Were you serious when you said stuff from amazon comes in the mail? Like you can order stuff off amazon and it comes straight to tye carrier or do you mail it to someone at home then they mail it to you?

Sitting here in my recliner half drunk at 9:30AM after a long 16 hr shift and the absolute most fascinating thing I noticed about this video is you got someone to stand on a roof and film you ride your bike around a corner. Props to them. Thank you for your service 🇺🇸🇺🇸

I love the people from the Navy, you guys are very down to earth and I can understand clearly everything you say because English is my second language and sometimes i do have difficulty understanding the language. Anyway, thank you for the insight , it help us a lot to consider or not going to the Navy.

Good job recapping your earlier video. Back in the day, RASs were called UNREPs (underway replentishments). Also, back in the day, there was no internet. That was back before Al Gore invented it (ROFL). Thus, as you can imagine, mail call was a huge deal! BTW, there was no Amazon either. The only packages you got were care packages from mom. News came to you via Stars & Stripes newspaper, delivered when there was a mail call.
Am glad to hear you positive attitude about the Navy. Looking back on it many, many years later I can say it was a great way to grow up right out of high school. I have never regretted the 6 years I spent in the Navy.

Troy Mills I’ve heard some of the more salty sailors call them “UnReps” as well. I can’t imagine what it would be like without talking to parents for 1-2 months at a time! I guess we have it a little easier nowadays haha good to hear man. I try to be as positive as I can be. Thanks for the kind words

Brings me back to my 5 years in the Navy. I was stationed in Atsugi, Japan near Tokyo. I deployed on the Ronald Reagan (CVN-76). It was fun visiting all the cool ports. And I swam in that same infinity pool on the top of the marina bay sands hotel in singapore. It was insane.

Good shit man .. but as a fellow MA I don’t recommend this rate for anyone wanting to join .. unless you don’t have a problem checking IDs at a gate for your first couple years .. every command is different and some people just get better orders but mine has been a complete dumpster fire .. we have many qualified E5’s who still ride the gate it’s a shame .. with limited to no upward mobility whatsoever.. my seco was a egomaniac that only cared for himself.. I could go on ..going to ship is your best bet but when I was at A school .. only fleet returnees could go to a ship .. best of luck to you man but for anyone out there Ide say choose an aviation rate or gunners mate something to where you’re guaranteed to be on ship and get the full Navy experience

Yo Austen, Do you know how it would work if I eventually join the Navy, or any military branch as a Nurse, but my girlfriend wants to be an education teacher? How would that work? Do they got schools on base for my girlfriend? Or would I just be forced to leave my girlfriend behind

Do some MAs have the badge sowed on? And if so is it optional to have it sowed on? Or to have a pin badge? Asking because I've seen videos with MAs that have pin on badges and noticed a few others that look like it's sowed on the uniform
