This is so cute and cool! As a collector, I love that it has cartridges, cases, and even booklets for each game! What an awesome throwback and a great product! Thank you so much for sharing!
I like the selection of cartridges it has so far. Seems like a good way for homebrews/indie games to go physical, and there's a decent amount of obscure stuff, especially in the Piko collection.
This looks like an amazing console, and certainly one I'm already considering saving up for. It will certainly be interesting to see how its games library expands over time.
The number one thing that's made me consider picking this up is that Oliver Twins cartridge, because supposedly this is one of the best modern ways for Americans to experience much of the Dizzy series in all its glory.

I have raspberry pi, roms, arcade sticks etc. but I think the perfect place for playing retro games might be on the toilet. In which case this perfectly fits my needs 😂
This handheld looks pretty rad! I can get past the the mini hdmi and usb micro b ports. I think for $100 and 37 games is a decent value if your average buyer wants to splurge and buy something that just works.
MicroUSB isn't totally obsolete just yet. Lots of other retro consoles such as the C64 Mini, the AtGames stuff, and many lower-end smartphones (StraightTalk, Tracfone, etc) still use MicroUSB. It will probably be a few more years before USB-C becomes the norm on lower end devices.
I love seeing stuff like this made, but I have my doubts with it being successful and staying in production for awhile. I wish the company all the best, but there's so many other emulation handhelds I would chose over this.
What is wrong with me?!? 😂 between myself and my family we have a decent PC, couple of switches, PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, a series X (Christmas present for my son he doesn’t know I managed to get one) all sorts of hacked handhelds and mini consoles capable of running all this. However, call me old but I find the entire premise of the evercade charming as fuck, the cartridges, the MANUALS!!! And the warm feeling of legitimately purchasing a licence to run these classics. I want one badly!! Also the recently released Oliver twins pack is a throwback to my childhood on Spectrum/C64/Amstrad CPC 464 Going to break the missus “no purchases till after Xmas” rule and snag one of these!
Or just play them on your phone? Better screen, better controller options, better battery etc. This only emulates atari-snes games. You can do that on literally anything, from smart tvs and refrigerators to old phones or even a psp from 2004.
@@bland9876 It would be interesting to see how an Evercade flashcart would work. The emulators for the systems aren't actually on the Evercade itself but are included on the cartridges. So someone coming up with a flashcart wouldn't only have to find a way to load the roms on the system but develop their own emulators for it as well.

hey man love your vids i would have picked it up but i just ordered a atari flashback for my b-day i will try to save up for one thanks for the advice your 10 out of 10 stars for me thanks
If this system offered actual arcade games then I'd be more interested. After all the name kind of hints at having arcade games, so it's a little odd that in actuality it doesn't have any but rather console ports instead. That's honestly a bit disappointinh since the console versions of games are far easier to access than the better arcade versions.
Some games are kind of weird like the arcade version plays differently from the console version so I wish you could have all the different versions also they could always do what namco did on the GameCube and give us a weird version of Pac-Man. From the gameplay I've seen of the arcade game that version on the GameCube now Google museum disc plays differently especially noticeable in the way the fruit moves around on Ms Pac-Man
I use my PS Vita for handheld retro gaming, I have all the systems that has plus gameboy and N64 and Vita games and source ports of games plus multiplayer

Very nice thorough review i have it, but am a little disappointed in the game selection and only one indie cartridge so far. I still get slight to moderate enjoyment out of it depending on the cartridge I am playing.
I’ve watched videos that give thumbs up and videos that give a lot of thumbs down to this system..so with that in mind I’ve just this second taken the plunge and invested in the Evercade Premium Starter Pack even though i already own a switch and will soon have a Steam Deck as my wife has bought me one for Christmas. My reason for buying is a simple one and that being my love for true retro games and gaming. So in these days of emulation everywhere for a cheaper price and the fact you can carry around many more games than what’s included i feel i should support the only option out there thats managed to license so many games from some serious powerhouses from the early days of this hobby so many of us love
I noticed that your videos lately can be really grainy on my 1080p screen. Are you trying some compression? It's only noticeable on the filmed segments.

They should make a dock that powers the system as well as outputting it on HDMI while also having a wireless controller for it.
