Das war aber nicht 1979! Das war in der Nacht vom 19. auf den 20. April 1980. Ich war damals in der Grugahalle dabei. Set Up: The Blues Band Joan Armatrading Ian Hunter Band feat. Mark Ronson ZZ Top Eintrittspreis damals - festhalten: Schlappe 12 DM !!! That's life...und geil war's.
I absolutely love the little bit of Mariachi music they have playing right before they tear into the song. Little touches like that give ZZ Top such character. There's nobody else like these dudes.
@@derekcorder79 Mr Corder first of all you have great taste in music, second of all being of Mexican American descent, i also loved the little bit of mariachi music they had playing right before they tore it up, like the way they came in with that double knee kick, Van Halen use to come on stage with that knee kick to
We where some young guys from Germany, looking Rockpalast at the TV and having a party that night and i will never forget the moment when ZZ Top entered the stage . We looked at each other and asked, what the hell is that? Since that night ZZ Top is the sondtrack of my life... So long live ZZ Top while Dusty is jamming with SRV and EVH...
I was so blessed to have seen this tour . The little band from Texas tore the food off . Me and the two friends I went with talked about this concert all summer and played this album into the ground . I was 15 and at 58 years old 4/24/2033 and still grooving it
As sad as I am about Dusty's passing, I'm grateful I got to experience seeing ZZ Top twice and being influenced as a musician by those incredible rhythms and vocals. This is one of those celebrity deaths that hits hard, but Dusty left behind an incredible legacy that'll live on.
2 dudes and a drummer... here's proof that they have more talent in their little pinkies and more money in their bank accounts than that 8 piece band with 5 backup dancers and a road crew of 20. More is not always better.
Heavy Metal Blues Funk! I love ZZ Top! Three Texas Badasses! And they were wearing beards years before the Hipsters starting growing them. So Kudas to them! 👏🏻😎🎸
You know i always admired mucisians that could play guitar or bass and sing at the same time, it's easier said than done, to me it's like sweeping and mopping at the same time,Billey and Dusty make it look easy, R.I.P. Dusty Hill
@zzpal1 Thanks for posting. Are you SURE of that date? If so, poor Rev. Willy G hasn't aged so well in the last 8 years. We'd better watch him. Oh God.
I've "liked" this Song,..- eversinse , as a a young teanager.+ I'de say "it" helps to get the chance to view this rendition. As it's presented upon various membrane. Videoes' such to the video-cassettes,+ now-a-Days' compact videdo-(discs).
Yessir , back when the Top were a truly great rock band pre- eliminator, pre - videos, before they became a cartoon parody of their former greatness. Billy playing "Pearly Gates" rather than some stupid fluffy toy - and sounding the business.
RIP Dusty Hill 1949-2021. I Thank You from the bottom of my heart for a lifetime of beautiful and inspiring music.

@Bob Smith I didn't know that! I'll have to go look up that song now.

Dusty is such an underrated vocalist
He's Hank's cousin and Cotton's nephew, I tell you what!
"Taste the meat, not the heat!"
Nobody here is underrated.
He was the better singer. Not that it’s a competition.
Super muza 💪💪💪🍀😎
Absolutely. He was the glue

Superb. The intro gave me goosebumps. Pre-Eliminator ZZ Top with Frank getting to lay down a groove were amazing. Super-tight.

True but it helps when you are a master of your instrument too and these guys certainly are
Three piece bands are where it's at. That baseline is doing some work!
Started listening to these guys locally since 1970. A truly unique Texas sound.
A lonely man playing a game but these guys pop and this song to boot, and I thank you

best version of this song by far and you know what i like the Isaac hayes version from 1968
Well Isaac Hayes wrote it. One of the very few songs ZZ Top does that they didn't write.
