Cool, I saw the same tour, November 1st or 2nd 1975 in Oklahoma City just before I was discharged from the Army. My buddies and I drove up from Lawton, out of Ft. Sill. Rory Gallagher was the opening performer for that performance of the tour. Incredible show from both!
Saw these guys in 1991 in Toledo, Ohio. One kick ass show. Was always a fan but that was my first chance to see them live. MTV introduced me to them in the early 80’s as did radio. But live? Sheeeeit... I’ve seen hundreds of all the best bands you can name. This was one of my favorite shows not because of anything special as far as show goes. What made it special was ZZTop doing what they do best. Can’t get much better. Name the band and i’ve probably seen them but this band always stands alone. They need a new category of music and should just be called ZZTop!!! All others only WISH they could imitate...
dofphish Oh yeah man! They absolutely blew the roof off Hampton Coliseum,VA when I saw them in 1979 and to this day they are one of the 3 best concerts I’ve ever seen.
You can just imagine the feelings of those audience members witnessing the very early start of perhaps one of the greatest bands of Texas Americana ever! ZZ top will always be one of my top all time favorite bands period. Not really into the 80's pop music they produced, however, they redeemed themselves with their album, Antenna, and the hard hitting song named Sleeping Bag. Sleeping bag is the 1970's all over again for me imho. Long live ZZ Top!

There is Clapton, Page, and all of those other blues craftsmen but Hendrix had one favorite guitarist and he is the man you are listening to right now !
Obviously this isn’t an extended version released by ZZ Top themselves but I honestly don’t give a flying flip because I can listen to this back to back without having to putting the song on repeat. Also, I greatly appreciate the photographs that you included on this video. So my advice to you is to just ignore the haters and please accept my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for sharing this video with us, my friend!!
In the early 70s we teens made a nuisance of ourselves jamming the juke box with this one at every joint in South Tahoe that had it on the machine. Me and my bud Ron got to see them on the Tres Hombres tour 2nd on bill to Steve Miller at Winterland. They did not play this, mostly the new album and just blasting jams that went on like on Bar-B-Cue WOW. Since then many times. same bill w/The Cult, w/Jeff Beck, solo at Harvey's Tahoe outdoors, never a minute of a show not 100% full-tilt. No filler material with these guys, they only play The Good Stuff. Hope to see the new line-up too.

The Top came to Pittsburgh- I think it was ‘73 or ‘74- and the had a stage shaped like Texas, with Longhorn steers walking around while they performed. And Probly chickens, etc. I forget how many tractor trailers it took to move their show from city to city- some ungodly amount. Good stuff!👍🎸🥁🇺🇸❤️

We came across a vacant lot between some buildings, and there was a ZZ Top tribute band kicking ass up on the shitty old stage. After a few, we realized it was actually them getting together for a jam. No fees, no advertising, just fk it. Haha

That's ZZ before becomes pop culture band. Absolutely bluesy and juicy.
Billy has sort of returned to his roots with his solo stuff.
The later stuff was still really good. They successfully moved with the times and still stayed original.
