Just ran across this video Brian. I immediately signed up as a mentor for The Mayfly Project. I'm grateful for your introducing this worthwhile organization to me.

I sincerely hope that you didn't throw away the fluff that you stripped off those feathers. When I know that I will be striping a feather, I cut the base and save it. I use it like marabou and also for dubbing. I paid for the whole feather and I use every bit that I can. I am a disabled veteran on limited income and involved with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing. Amazing program for disabled vets. ( Perhaps something you can mention on your program) Amazing therapy. Really like your videos. Carry on!

Tightastic video. I started tightening mostly jigs and my goal is to learn how to tight trolling flies for trout. I really enjoy your vids. You have amazing techniques. I built my own tightening station and I am truly excited to keep up learning. Thank you so much.

That's how I do the collars on my Whistlers. It also makes a great way to finish off a shrimp/crawfish fly when stacked like that right behind dumbell eyes.

AC Moore craft store was closing and I bought a bag of (craft) feathers. They were the worst bags of feathers for fly tying. They will be perfect for your wooly bugger tip. Thanks!

My God man, I wasted 4 minutes of my life watching the intro. I'm never gonna get that back.
