- Every villain from Sly Cooper ranked. The list is probably flawed, so if you have any suggestions i would love comments about it :)

I think Grizz's plan was actually genius. Go back to the prehistoric time, make fake cave paintings, travel back to the present, dig em up, and then sell them for a fortune.
Jean Bison was one of my Favourites. But maybe it's because i loved hes area with the Iron Horse Trains. So many good memories.
I absolutely love Jean Bidon and his area as well, the list i made here had evilness as the most important factor and then character, design and memorabilty came after thats why I put him so low. Ranking it like I did tho is kinda stupid in hindsight but oh well 💀

He also see through the Cooper gang disguises.
Shouldn’t panda king and dimitri also be part of the villain rank. I know their reformed and cooper members but Rajan, Contessa, Jean Bison, and Miss Decibel are also reformed criminals if you seen the ending cutscenes.

But it has no motives, character or any personality 😭

when Railegh is above Jean Bison ): Dude Jean bison has such a great backstory. Ralegh's is just "lol i'm bored me become villain"
I tried ranking them based on all of their qualities. And even though Jean Bison is a cool character, good backstory, great design and memorability, not beeing very evil gave him lots of minus-points...
Its not a perfect list at all, I just thought evil-ness should have a lot to say, and im that departement Raleigh is more evil

Clockwerk is so nostalgic. I beat him when i was like 9 or 10 and thay boss fight was intense. I struggled so much to get to him
Ive never played through sly 1 sadly, only seen the game thru gameplay. But clockwerk is still super nostalgic to me as well even if I didnt directly fight him. He was very creepy lol
@@west1752 Clockwerk's entire level in sly 1 used to creep me the hell out, and during the final boss fight his voice legitimately haunted me as a kid. That along with Mizz Ruby's level with the bones popping up from sewage water, the lair of the beast level and the incredibly dark music. I never got that unnerving feeling from the other games, it's fantastic lol. You should definitely play through Sly 1, it is a totally different experience compared to the other 3 games. Still not my favorite (that's Sly 2), but the storytelling is awesome.
They really should bring him back with the OG voice actor!

Hmmm im not sure. I played sly with the norwegian voices so i dont know who would fit best to replace the english voice actors that have passed....
Well about DiMaggio, i was thinking that he could have played El Jefe while Nolan North plays Le Paradox.
Panda King, Mugshot, Sir Raileigh and Contessa seem like a good feat.

Jean Bison is one of my favorites, I love his episodes, the vibe is amazing, the snow area is so good (train mission 🔛🔝)
What about dimitri and panda king?

I didnt count those as villains as they dont play that role in the same way as everyone included in this list:>
I’d just consider those two as obstacles morso than villains, with literally no backstory to prove them worthy of proper villain status. The mask almost looks like something you’d see in Mizz Ruby’s level instead of being in the Australian outback.
And the squid (Crusher) got persuaded by the Guru, so it could assist the cooper gang later on.
I'm not particularly sure that the list is consistent if you're going off of evilness when you have El Jefe at 17. Guy's a petty dictator and mercenary general who ruthlessly conquers small countries. That makes him a merchant of suffering and death. That puts him pretty high up on the evil meter. Does his in-game portrayal live up at all to that badass and threatening reputation in his cutscene? Not even remotely, but he should be a bit higher. I do like the list, but I think you'd do well to say a little more about each villain. I do like the list and as you'll read later, it doesn't actually differ that much from my own. This is just to start a discussion.
However, if we're going off of sheer quality of character, originality, etc, then number 17 I think is about where I'd place him too. He's garbage. He's the only boss character who is the same animal as a previous boss, too.
My list ranking them off of quality, entertainment value, story, depth(Only to a minor degree bc most of them aren't deep), & originality. Some of the best villains are those who are morally complex or grey so I won't be doing evilness here. I will also include Panda King, Dimitri, and Carmelita Fox(She's not a villain per se but still an antagonist in the first two games so same logic with her) Just because they've turned over a new leaf doesn't disqualify them from a villain ranking, at least in my opinion. If you were DQ'ing them for that reason, by that logic you couldn't count the first four Sly 2 villains because of their epilogues turning them into legitimate civilians.

I was also concidering their design and overall character, so thats why i wanted to place El jefe so low. Cause like you said, hes the only villain thats the same animal as a previous villain. Plus hes just not that interesting or memorable...

@@DahHourglass His model isnt anything special... The tiger guards in sly 3 have a more memorable design than El jefe

The really memorable villains are: Clockwerk (obviously since he is the icon villain of sly 1 & 2 and the entire backstory), Neyla/Clock-la, Contessa, Dr. M, Mugshot and ofcource Dimitri when he was a villain.
Pretty memorable villains include: Jean bison, Rajan, Octavio, Lefwee, Tsao, Penelope as black baron and as the black knight and the Panda king.
I don't care much for most of sly 4 and some of sly 1 villains, as well as arpeggio who really wasn't much of a villain.
Neyla is probably my top pick villain because you get to know her more through the game, and you think she is your ally untill she stabs you in the back. Ofcource Penelope does the same, but nowhere near the same fashion and elegance.
Dimitri is probably the coolest and most iconic villain though.
nahhh you did not just lump the sly 3 and sly 4 versions of penelope together 😭 those need to be two separate tiers with how much they butchered her in 4

I think the contesa should be higher she killed her man then after use the prison to hypnotize people to find their money and leave some of them Brian dead after more evil and better than octavio but everyone have their opinion

Seeing the brilliant performances of the other villains makes me more unimpressed with Clockwerk's voice. I get he's a hollow machine, but even then his voice is way too monotone!
I agree somewhat, but its still a fitting voice to a owl that had so much hatred it stayed eternal
