I love my Osmo 3 but I haven't used it for Timelapses yet. This makes it much clearer on how to do that. Especially with the Motionlapse and Hyperlapse modes. I agree with preferring curved changes between waypoints vs Linear. -H
Thank you so mich for your time, for creating this very informative and interesting video. Very detailed, well explained and you have a very pleasant voice. Subbed ;-)
You’re off to a great start. I just got the P3 and appreciate your content. I’d like to see you grow so I’ll put my money where my mouth is and subscribe.
Great video! Super helpful. One question: if you don't know how long you want to film, for example if you're building something and you don't know how long it will take should you just choose the longest time available and then stop it manually?
Good question! Yes, probably more often than not I've ended up stopping things manually, like when the sun has set earlier than expected or when I need to get a move on!
Thank you ❤️ You definitely don't need ND filters but the shutter speed will be very fast in bright conditions so there will be no motion blur for fast moving subjects like people. If you want smoother timelapses during daytime, ND filters will help you with that!
The maximum exposure time is 1s, but there is apparently a trick to force longer exposure times in timelapse/motionlapse modes (not photo mode) by setting auto exposure and a fixed ISO range. I haven't tried it myself but hope to at some point!
Is the timelapse automatically converted by the device into a video files such as mp4 that we can watch or upload in soc media when we transferred it to our phone? Awesome tutorial btw 👍
Yes, by default the timelapse is saved as a single video file. You also have "Video + JPEG" and "Video + RAW" options which save stills in addition to the single video file!
Thank you! Great job. Looks like you are just starting out. Thanks for getting straight to the point. I'll Sub. Good luck. Maybe your channel can be different and you can just make short vids to cover exactly what people are looking for without having to watch a 2 hour tutorial on the whole osmo pocket 3. My brain hurts after watching those and it's so full of info that I can never remember how to get to a certain thing. lol. Take care.
Very informative, however I have a question about the resolution setting. When I do a motion lapse on mine I only get the option of 4K 30 fps or 25fps. I am in North America and I don't get the option to record in 24fps for Motion lapse. Any idea what I can do to change this?
Good question! I also only get 25/30 fps options and I don't believe this can be changed regardless of your location. You can drop 25/30 fps footage in a 24fps timeline and and set the clip's speed to 96% or 80% respectively. This way you won't skip any frames. 25fps has the smallest speed difference so playback will be very similar, and since timelapses/motionlapses don't record sound anyway you won't have weird audio.
What if i just want the camera to record from predefined point 1 to point 2 normally in normal speed, while i am in the frame (but do not want to track myself, and do not want to do it manually real time from the app). So just normal automated recording and not a "lapse".
Hey dont know if you are reading this or not I am also looking to buy this camera but I am not sure how it’s night video is , so if you can make a video on full night like stars hunting
Good job! Just popping up to say thank and nice work. Lovely audio and great demonstrations.

Thanks for your videos. I'm thinking about getting an Osmo Pocket 3 and these are very helpful. By the way, I like the footage of Osaka too :)
very helpful!
Very well! Thank you! 👍
Thanks for sharing information.
Thanks for the video, but what are your recommended interval and video duration settings for timelapse and hyperlapse?
Very impressive! Did you grade this timelapses or it was straight out of the camera?
Thanks, the timelapses were straight out of the camera
The best video so far! Well explained ❤👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻
If I don’t switch to Pro mode, do I still need to use ND filters?
Thank you ❤️ You definitely don't need ND filters but the shutter speed will be very fast in bright conditions so there will be no motion blur for fast moving subjects like people. If you want smoother timelapses during daytime, ND filters will help you with that!
@@captureguide Got it! Thank you so much!
People subscribe and help this creator. He did a good job
Do you think it can shoot long exposure time lapse ? Around 2-3s exposure for aurora for example 😊

Hey... love this. Do you mind linking where you got your ND filters?
Thanks! For this video I was using K&F Concept ND filters (ND16/64/256) purchased from Amazon.
@@captureguide thank you so much 😊

Unfortunately there isn't a way to set movement paths for the regular video mode. It would be a useful feature, though.

I have been quite busy with other things but I will think about doing a night-focused video!
