time for you to get on the falcam f22 quick release system. That will level you up even more!! That cage seems cool. But my most important accessory is the mic2. And there is no cold shoe thing for me to attach it to. And I can’t screw anything on in the front side. Which means I can’t slap it onto a backpack strap at a good angle.
Well, how strange is this for you. Falcam have been in touch with me the past couple of days and they’re sending some great kit for me to review, including a pretty unique attachment device for the Pocket 3 which may resolve your issue buddy 👍
Thank you so much, why do you think I have these things because I watched a video on them too 🤣 And I’m pleased to welcome you to my channel, thank you buddy 🙏

*@**1:00**: What's the use of a metal cage which fails to protect the entire upper part of the camera ? Tilta could have just as easily extended the metal cage to cover the entire length of the gimbal camera without it interfering with the flip up screen in any way, nor covering the built in camera's microphone ports. Part of the idea of putting a cage on any camera is to also protect it from damage during heavy use as well as providing for the attachment of various accessories.*
I would agree with you on that Mark, and something until you pointed it out I hadn’t thought about. I got this so that I had mounting points rather than protecting it. I think this is because there’s no way you can fully protect the Pocket 3 just by the pure deign of it. I’m not sure even could with the head turning 360 degrees 🤷♂️
The Pocket 3 camera and gimbal are so fragile that extending the cage higher would be pointless and add weight. It’s not as if you could have a cage too close to the gimbal. And though I always have the cage on the extra battery, it was designed to still fit without it meaning it has to be shorter.
@@livemusic It would NOT be pointless, and it's not as if the OP3 is a heavy camera to begin with is it ? Why does everybody think I want the cage length extended to the point it interferes with the gimbal mechanism on top of the camera ? I never wrote that and I never even suggested that. However, the cage is too friggin' short and needs to be *extended to just below the gimbal mechanism near the top of the camera.* The new improved cage could be shaped in such a manner to provide full clearance of the flip screen, and have ports to allow the three tiny on camera Mic ports not to be covered by it. I think this is a reasonable approach.
@@markjob6354 When not using the extra battery and only have on the short extention with the 1/4 20 hole, the front bar on the cage comes just below the joystick and record button. Technically the back and sides could be extended higher, but for this type of tool I don't see where I could possibly benefit from that. and there couldn't be another support arm across since it would have to slide over the joystick and record button. I wouldn't care to use the Nato rails or mounting points any higher than they already extend. And with such a fragile top to it all, we have to be very cautios with it anyway. Just how I see it. Maybe more see it like you and they'll listen to the requests.
I recommend the Inst360 3m long selfie stick. I used it attached to my Pocket 3 to simulate a drone shot in a big warehouse gym. Works a treat. I saw film maker Brandon Li use it.
I like Ulanzi’s MT79 light stand. It extends to 79”, has rather wide and sturdy legs that fold out and a tilting head. When not using the legs it’s a smooth cylinder that’s great to grip. It of course has a little wobble when extended all the way, but that hasn’t been a problem when shooting.
The cage definitely looks pretty good, if it had a coldshoe on the side it would be perfect. I would change the tripod for the Ulanzi MT-44 though, it gives you a much longer reach and it's perfect to make cool crane shots! 😁👌🏻
I agree on the weak magnetic mount for the filters, although we’ve never had them fall off. The cage does make it heavy and we only use it when mounting on cars, so not an issue. I guess it comes down to how you use your Pocket 3 👍
The cage adds a small among if weight to a very lightweight camera. It’s no big deal. I keep mine on at all times. I can quickly add my phone mount with the Nato rail, do the same with a handle on the other side and screw it into a monopod. And it does as a little protection to the extra battery when attached there.
I get annoyed too and can’t believe I didn’t think about the links myself. There’s just so much to remember when you’re producing hopefully helpful videos for people. It’s noted for next time 👍
and for the video chapters you just wrote “accessory 1, accessory 2, accessory 3” etc. instead of the actual accessory. for the amount of time and effort it takes to create a video like this I can't believe this was overlooked unless it was done on purpose.

I still use my switchpod tri-pod. Got it when it first came out and still useful in certain situations!
So did I, it’s a great little bit of kit, plus I love how it opens and closes with the sound of the metal 🤣

why dont u link all the stuff in the video like any other decent review channel :D
You know what, it actually slipped my mind. Happy to send you a link or two for the ones which took your interest, or just search Amazon buddy 👍
@@Pulse8Reviews Yea, Bro you could've got a commission. Great video btw.
Everyday is a school day for sure, and that is very good point and something I will certainly implement moving forward, thanks for the advice 🙌
Don’t forget the MovMax mini gimbal for mounting Osmo Pocket 3 outside of the car! It’s like a tiny Ronin 4D package 😅
I would’ve added these in, but don’t own one yet, as soon as I get one, I’ll create a video 👍
Its not late to put the link.. good review and content.😊

What a fantastic idea, we have a long stick from our 360 camera, but not 3m, I might have to get one. Thank you 🙏

Can you please let me know the name of the magnetic suction mount? Many thanks for your review of these products.

It has 1/4-20 and NATO rails. You can get the Smallrig 1/4-20 to cold shoe for $8 or the Tilta NATO to cold shoe 😅
That would be amazing, maybe on version two they’ll include a coldshoe. And thanks for the advice, I’ll check it out 👍
Does the Tilta cage work with the extended battery?
Yes it would as it’s mounted with the quarter thread too buddy, I just keep it like this so I can quickly change it 👍
The cage makes it twice as heavy, the switch pod make it very inconspicuous, the K&F filters have a very weak magnet and are not very easy to adjust.
