Great video as usual. You did a very good step by step guide here with your own personal touch. Having flushed my power steering recently. I’m guessing your going to discount the return line and turn the steering left and right till you have replaced all the fluid. But maybe you do something different. Looking forward to seeing it. 👍
Uploading right now actually. I just do a drain and fill with bottle replacement, and add fresh fluid while running, circulating, and evacuating. Might not be the best way but thats how I was taught previously. Works well with limited mess. Thanks for stopping by as always :)
Hey thanks! They were a Christmas gift! Here’s the link, although these are for big and tall, the only link for the same kind I could find, but that’s them! amzn.to/3MJ0WqJ
The old window making this wire noise when you took it up and down. Was it some of the wire trends was missing? Because I have the same sound in my passenger front door butt it still work and do so as we speak. You can get this steel wire as a repair kit. Is that a difficult Jobb?
I’m having an issue where my passenger window is stuck in the upward position. I’ve cut out all the cables, checked to see if the PO wedged anything in there, and tried loosening the whole regulator to get the window to move with no luck. (The whole regular wiggles freely independent of the window) Have you ever run into this issue? I just need access to the two 8mm bolts in the window.
so i have a convertible but it seems the regulator went out while the window is down, any advice to pull the window up or just get a whole new door off part out?
The rears are more challenging, hopefully theres some content out there showing the replacement, now that you mention it I do need to do a rear regulator on my other e46 so ill try to get a video in the next week or two
is it different with a convertible? whenever i close the door, my window sticks out so i have to push the window towards the door so it can fully close.
There’s an adjustment on the convertibles to where the window needs to clear the door seal before closing all the way, then the door lock actuator tells the window it’s closed and can go all the way back up
@@0megalul309 what type of car is it? its possible you need to initialize the window. it has a fail safe built into it so it wont break your fingers if you have something stuck in the glass, i would google initialization window feature for your car and try it that way. its usually done with the window switch
This is the best video on this subject matter. This sets a Zen attitude before attempting.
Thanks Bogusie! Always dropping top notch comments. Gotta go into repairs with a level head / can-do attitude

Hi, nice wid...use silicone on the windowslides(moves faster)....🤘
Thanks for the tip! I have before but hate when it gets on the window...

id definitely remove the door panel and take a closer look at the regulator while operating it
My passenger rear took a dook last week and replaced it on Saturday. It was easy JA FEEL
The good thing about this is that aftermarket parts can be found for peanuts - I got a reg+motor combo for less than £30.

you should be able to replace the window regulator and reinstall the glass, no need for a whole new door!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for stopping by
Is works, why you replace?
It was makin a lot of noise, and was on its way out
why don't you replace only the 2 (but usually just 1 of them) metal clips that actually break? you can buy them online for 15$ or so
ive always replaced the entire regulator
@@DayOffDIY waste of money 😄
to each their own! id rather refresh the entire regulator and only take the door off once@@rick23ro
so why is it crunching whats the problem with the window regulator?
The pulleys fail on the regulator.. I always replace it as a whole
@@DayOffDIY thanks am gonna replace mine too it started crunching i was afraid that the window regulator cable might snap
This is a dream in comparison to a Porsche Cayenne 955. I am still recovering from the PTSD. 😂
I can only imagine!
If you can somehow help me figure out how to do the rear regulators on my 01 e46 325ci I couldn’t get them out at all
The rears are more challenging, hopefully theres some content out there showing the replacement, now that you mention it I do need to do a rear regulator on my other e46 so ill try to get a video in the next week or two
11:22 what brand is it ?
World source one from world pac, through my local parts store. Not sure on manufacturer

01 325i with 278,000 mi. I've replaced all the regulators but not the motors. They seem to be bulletproof. It's cheaper that way.
Good stuff! The motors do tend to last a lifetime.
there we go, more videos per week ;P
Trying to get as much out as I can :)
Lunch is ready..😅
gotta love it ! :)
mine goes all the way up then pops down 3 inches lol.
Sounds like she needs a replacement!
@@DayOffDIY do you think it could be a sensor or something? The window isn't slow or stuttery
