As a 330i touring owner, I did the swap from a 5 speed to a 6 speed manual, after i swapped out the final drive ratio from a 2.93 to a 3.23 ratio with a Gripper LSD The 6 speed and 3.23 mix gives you the same ratios as the E36 M3 Evo , it pulls well through the range while cruising on the motorway it'll regularly run at 2800rpm at 75mph, giving me on average around 35-40mpg.
3.23 is the ideal ratio I’ve been looking for to pair with the 6 speed. They’ve been tough to find though, and whenever I have come across one, it was around the wrong time for me. But, if I do swap another B30 into this car (it’s currently down with a massive rod knock), a 3.23 diff will definitely be in it’s future.

From an obsessed E46 owner never swap to a M54B30 the only time its acceptable is if you bought the car with it. it just isn't a upgrade in fact your setting yourself up to make little to no power reliably over 400HP and that's even if you can get to 400. M50/M52/S50/S52 which have iron blocks are very much worth the swap instead especially while its out you can build the bottom end. Its pretty common to do a swap like that in Europe. Anyways long story short keep it up with content and please post more 😊
Hello E46Knight. Just a question about the style 68 wheels. I saw they were awesome for the look. I was just wondering what wheel sizes did you use front and rear, and did you use wheel spacers? If so what sizes? Thanks for your response. I did enjoyed you video.
Hi! I used the factory staggered wheel and tire setup. The tires were 225/45 front, 245/40 rear. I did use spacers. 15mm front & 20mm rear. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Some updates on the car will be coming soon!
I have 2 e46. Yours looks very nice ! How big of an increase power wise did the butt Dyno say between b25 and b30? Also what kind of air intake is that? Factory? Mine looks completely different

The intake I have is an older model of the Dinan “High Flow” intake, without the air ducts that go down to the brake ducts (I think?). I forgot to reference it in the video, my bad.
Don't bother with the swap I promise you swapping to a B30 has been the biggest piece of misinformation and financial mistakes in this community for a decade+ now just S54 swap or M52/M50 Swap instead they are much more solid and have iron blocks rather then aluminum and if you wanted to ever Turbocharge your E46 you wouldn't have to worry as much about pulling the head up while in boost which happens to everyone eventually who tries it it is just a matter of time
@@cyborgjoe1000 Thanks for the feedback. Have you personally felt the difference? I’ve honestly never drove a b30 or s54. I do like the idea of one day potentially iron block turbo . Im looking to buy a e35 328i 5 speed manual for a daily as my first manual car tryna look out for a e46 manual it hard though
I bought an e46 320i 5 speed manaul m54b22 for 4500$ sock car rust free and no cracks on subframe
Nice !
Thanks! 🤙🏽
20 bucks says your RACP has hidden cracks behind the subframe
Makes me want to hook up my e46 Zhp but damn bruh you put mileage on your car. Mine just hit 100k
It’s been my daily driver for many years, but I try my best for the car to not show its miles!
I want to upgrade my sway bars and suspension. But I don't need mega low I want MEGA OEM plus feel . Thinking biltstein b14's
Bilstein is definitely reputable brand, can't go wrong there! As for sway bars, the aftermarket alternatives to my OEM bigger sway bars work well too!
