Doing this same job momentarily! Appreciate the content as always ! Anticipating those ideas in the future… thanks
Good stuff Chad, nice to see you in the comments again!
wow- fantastic video- really love your explainations and the value you give us with your exceptional vocabulary and knowledge
Glad you liked it!
Good vid. Clear and concise. Definitely helped me get the job done on my E46. My window was jammed and immobile and blew fuse whenever switch activated. You confirmed my guess on how to move the window - cut the cable!
super pumped to hear the video was helpful Bill! Yup, cut the cable if its bound up!
The way you present the videos are awesome! I may need to do a regulator on my e60.
Thanks Patrick! If I remember correctly E60s are pretty easy!
I Just did it, so easy with your help!! Greetings from 🇲🇽
Awesome! Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the comment 🙂
straight to the point. love this
Thanks brother! appreciate it
Thank you for this handy tutorial. I have replaced these with Valeo regulators which seem to be of a better design than the OE units.
Awesome! I like Valeo products, theyve been good to me so far
We all hate window regulator issues but this tutorial helps. Steps to follow at our finger tips. Your lights are awesome. Can you talk about that a second on video? Most yt'ers buy lights and light stands but yours are garage strip lights? Really good placement and no shadows! Ya'll notice it? Perfect viewing. Really nice set up Alex.
I got the perfect video for you coming up then :) currently in touch with the manufacturer and working on a collaboration!
@@DayOffDIY That's great news!! Congrats!! Looking forward to it.
Thanks mate, nice job.
Thanks Ozzy!
Good work👍
Thank you!
I recently had to do this to mine too. You should do a tutorial on how to trace a parasitic battery draw on these cars as that’s what I’m having issues with haha. I always look forward to a new upload good job!
Good idea Russell, I’ll have to add it to the list! Thanks for the comment
An other great video. 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you
Great video as usual. This has to be the first video I have seen that someone explains how to reseal the sound card / vapour barrier. Going to order me some tape just in case I need some in the future. 👍
Have you thought about using Amazon affiliate links to make a little extra money?
Thanks Phantom! Planning on doing another video for the vapor barrier/ water leak.
I have! I have a few links in most videos, but forgot to link anything or discuss it in this one.
Glad you have it all worked out. Every little helps. 👍
Great work! is it the same process for the bmw x3 2006 e83?
its quite similar i think! just different hardware for the door
What kind of drill set are you using? Thanks
I use Milwaukee drills!
Hı I have a bmw e46 2005 .I replaced my right front and right rear regulators. I want to ask you: Will my left rear and front regulators break down in the future like the right regulator? Does it break down frequently? Is it related to whether to use it or not?
its quite a common problem on all bmws. hard to say whether the use causes the failure or not. I think its not a bad idea to exercise all the windows every now and then, but regulators and sunroofs are notorious for failure on all the BMWs ive seen. soft tops too
@@DayOffDIY Thanks bro.
hi guys I have a 128i 2010 convertible, I did change my window regulator in my passenger side, I disconnected the battery but now the automatic window drop is not working, before when I opened the door both windows dropped half inch automatically, and when I closed the doors they when up automatically, I looked some videos here in UA-cam in how to fix it but I can't get the doors to work.
anybody had this issue before and how did you guys fix it.
thank you for your help.
With the ignition on, go to the windows that are acting up. With the window rolled all the way up, press and hold the window switch down, once the window is all the way down, keep holding it for about ten seconds. Then do the opposite, hold it all the way up for 10 seconds, one of those two procedures will reset the window initialization feature and should fix the problem
What size screw is the screw that holds the window in place?
8 or 10 mm, I forget
Tempted to buy a clean $1000 330xi for sale near me from the description it sounds like it's been overheated are these M54's basically totaled if they've been overheated?
Quite the opposite! The head tends to hold pretty strong, as long as it didn’t get nuclear hot. Most of the time the plastic cooling systems fail. Might be worth a look!
@@DayOffDIY Thanks for the advice i'll ruminate on it
@@lieutenantdan8170 yeah think about it! I’m curious about it now too lol
@@DayOffDIY Went and looked at the car but i passed on it it had more rust than you could see in the pictures, it would've been a good winter beater but i already have a winter car
Is there an airbag within the front door?
thats correct
What is the width of the butyl tape that you used?
Maybe a little under 1/2 inch? im uploading a vapor barrier/water leak video right now with a link to the tape, ill add it to the description of this video too :)

this stuff looks great, I like the tootsie roll style better, so thats what Ill link for you guys
Take a shot every time you hear dum dum.
Hahahah I know I repeat myself a lottttt. I’d be in the hospital lol
@@DayOffDIY 🤣 you're alright bro. It's a game we watchers play in the comments.
I'm really enjoying your content. Keep them coming.
I tested the speaker, it didn’t work. 🤔🤣 Great video.
Thank you my friend !
@@DayOffDIY Thanks for reaching out, my comment was just a joke for when you said at the end of the video ”you can test the speaker.”
