I know that is far fetched but i personally believe that that is possible that Cioccolata was a Replacement for Fugo as a Villain.
Yeah, that's 100% what would have happened. It's even noted that the reason that the Purple Haze virus dies so quickly in the fight with Illuso is that it's being exposed to sunlight, and the fight against Green Day takes place at night, hence explaining why the virus would be so much more effective. Buccerati's gang would probably have had to move from light source to light source to avoid the infection while getting closer to the helicopter. Part of the reason that Giorno would be the one to get to the helicopter is due to the fact that he already inoculated himself against the virus during the fight with Illuso, using the snake he created within the virus's effect, allowing him to get into melee range with Fugo without issue, whereas Sex Pistols would rot nearly immediately (Leaving only Number 5 alive, like in the final version with Chocolata). As @goroakechi6126 mentioned, Fugo would probably have revealed himself at the colosseum due to the boss's instructions to stall them until Doppio arrived and could deal with Polnareff, while also explaining how the stand users kept finding the group despite Bruno's precautions. Not to mention that GioGio would have done the 7 page muda barrage to Fugo for his betrayal of the group, which Araki wanted to leave in the story, hence explaining is why he created Chocolata to be such an evil bastard to receive the beating in his place.
You know, Giorno giving the 7 page muda to Cioccolata would make more sense if it was originally going to be Fugo getting the beating for being a traitor

@@midknightECcongratulations, we have Purple Haze Feedback! A novelle where fugo acts like shinji for the whole novel, and he teams up with a guy who pretends he controls useless cards (when they are all actually naval seals!!!!!1111) and female polnareff. They are sent by digiorno's pizza to murder not Walter White (who's the brother to pearl jam guy) and his crew of drug addicts who have cooler stand powers then him. Long story short, but the power of ass pull Walter White is able to turn himself in a puesdo vampire (despite the fact a stone mask is what Walter White was looking for ealier in the book). Fugo breaks out of his edging streak and morbs all over this overpowered verison of Walter White. Purple Haze TFs into the titular Purple haze Feedback which is a Bites the Dust tier upgrade, which main ability is inverse damage (i.e. gentler attacks from PHF deal more damage then actual punches, i.e. according to this logic PHF could lightly tap someone and they would turn inside out) and the secondary change is the virus is no longer a virus and is alive, evolving and eating itself (in a nutshell Fugo will no longer cease life force from using this ability). Instead of using inverse damage to defeat waltuh he decides to have PHF tose him at him with his evolving virus capsules in his mouth (it looks really cool in all star battle though). The book ends with giorno giving Fugo mouth surgey and saying "you can call me GioGio" and Fugo declaring his undying loyalty. Truely the peak of fiction! However if you want the dragonball Movie Adaption of Fugo's betrayal we always have Golden Heart, golden ring.
in the titular Purple haze Feedback Novelle, Purple haze Feedback is Bites the tier stand evolution where it's main ability is it does inverted damage (gentle touchs can one shot people and actual punches from PHF are now as hurtful as taping someone) and the secondary ability is evolutionary virus (the virus cancel itself out so Fugo will no longer rapidly cease life existence to the aftermath of this stand). I also believe range increased by a foot as well. Fugo also has full control of PHF. I had more to say about how mid the novelle is but youtube deleted my comment.
Golden heart, golden ring is better. Purple haze feedback wastes it's cool premise for no reason and inverse damage ability of titular purple haze feedback (which is actually its main ability now not the virus eating itself) makes no sense, and fugo doesn't even use it in the story. The stand stats talk about how "he has to throw his punches" when all he has to do is have purple haze feedback littlely tap people and Apparently they'll turn inside out. Would have been much smarter way to defeat the random ass pull ability Peusdo-vampire Volpe then what likely would have been sewer slide (though the attack does look cool all star battle/r). One of the main characters is just polneraff but a woman down to someone who has powers to a mirror dimension (kakyion be damned) ceased their siblings life force and they joined the bad man's forces to find this person only to find out it was one of thier co workers.

My take is that Fugo was going to take Ciocollata's place in the story. They have similar stands. Maybe the plot was going to be Fuho using purple haze throughout the city per the boss's orders, and eventually defeated by giorno with the 7 page muda, since Giorno became immune to the virus. I'd really recommend you to read Purple Haze Feedback if the character of Fugo interested you. There are some fan translations floating around the internet. The only thing is that his backstory there is explored in a different way (which I personally preferred) that from the anime, but if you ignore that detail, it might as well be considered a fitting continuation to Golden Wind
the fact fugo gets so much hate even today because araki decided to not make him a secret traitor the whole time is crazy, it honestly wouldve made part 5 way more interesting
I mean that probably contributes to the Fugo hate. Araki had a Shonen friends forever moment of weakness and scrapped something that would've made the story better
I don't think people are taking into account that Araki was suffering from from depression at the time of writing Part 5 due to losing a close friend. He wasn't in the mood to write drama about traitors and betrayal. Wether it would benefit the story or not, he made the call that helped his mental health the most (and I probably would have done the same).
@@leithaziz2716 Araki has a quote where he says that it would’ve hurt him too much to make Fugo betray his friends and (in this original draft) have Giorno kill him. I have to agree with him here - Golden Wind is depressing enough as it is. Call it a cop-out but I’m personally glad he made the final decision to just write Fugo out of the story.
i just realized. its really funny that its pretty likely after only mista giorno and trish (probably in contact but out of passione entirely tbh) survived, at some point fugo had to realize his old crew not only almost all died but the 2 survivors are now his boss and superior
My favorite part of that original interaction is that Fugo stabs Narancia in the face with a fork and Bruno barely even reacts he's just like "Fugo stop stabbing your brother, have a seat Giorno"
I want to add more on the Fugo betrayal. As Giorno and Fugo are fighting, Fugo reveals that he was ordered to kill them as soon as Giorno joined them. But Fugo being smart, he uses Diavolo's paranoia to delay the assasination by promising a perfect time to execute. But as they draw near to the destination, Fugo gets one last phone call. Diavolo is aware that he used his paranoia against him, so as a way to redeem himself, he says to do the job now or he will end them all. And so it's an emotional fight, as he is forced to kill his new family, not only bc he was ordered, but as an act of mercy as any other assasin would make them suffer. Giorno is very empathetic to him, but his words of encouragement are falling into a blind raged man and his ability would cause a lot of harm to not just him, but also innocent people caught in the crossfire. And so, he makes the ultimate desicion. He kills him. Giorno kneels before his friend, as Fugo is barely breathing. Fugo looks up to Giorno and is surprised to see who he thought was an emotionless boy crying for him. For the first time in his life, he feels at peace knowing Giorno will keep his family safe, as he draws the last breath. Flowers grow around his body. Giorno weeps, realizing the true cruel life of a gangster. He returns to the others with Fugo's body and covers for him by saying an enemy did it. They do a proper burial and give him respect, especially Naranja. Bruno didn't believe Giorno's story, but seeing him shedding tears, he knew it was out of self-defense and empathy. Something he is thankful for Giorno. Cause if it was him, he wouldn't bring himself to do it.
fugo exemplifies everything i dislike about part 5. his only action is being the end to the best fight in the part, and obviously abaccio was the main focus of that fight anyways. fugo and narancia, partners in pointlessness
honestly if araki was gonna scrap him betraying passione anyway then why not just add a few scenes where he actually does something worthwhile. have him defeat someone singlehandedly or show the actual power of his stand so that him leaving has meaning and it doesnt just feel like araki forget to write him a character arc and just decided to drop him. i hate this part so much cause it really was perfect up until the end.
Who was him supposed to take out if the entire point was that he wanted to lay down and don't betray the boss? Even as someone believing Araki made the wrong call with Fugó, you can't have it both ways. If he is not a traitor he has no reason to be involved into anything at all. Specially given the short timeframe of part 5.
Wow i didn't know that purple haze feedback was not released in english. I am Italian so i read it im Italian obviously. Is worth reading just for having some more Fugo moments and character grows. The events of the story happens after part 5 and Fugo is forced by Mista tp track down and stop the drog dealer group of Passione. Wich still is active after the events of part 5.
I really recommend checking out Jekyll & Hyde 5M as it did a pretty good job on expanding Fugo's manga personality without the whole pdfphile thing. Another one I would recommend is Judas Iscariot which follows the original plan of Fugo being a traitor.
I would very much be interested in PHF review. As someone who has read it, all I have to say is that, while it is pretty tonally different and kinda heavier from the typical jojo adventure, it is very much interesting in what it achieves with Fugo's character. And while I do not 100% like how most of the gang is characterized, I do like to think of this story as "soft canon" in a way, because I really liked Fugo from when he was introduced, and I was really bummed out that he only ended up being relevant for only one fight in the series...
Did you know fugo was supposed to be a traitor? But araki found out that does not look gud so he get low screen time cuz he did not take care about it. And also its why in a moment of the serie its called traitor requiem?
I actually love feedback, because it feels a lot like a real story araki could tell, and a MUCH more natural conclusion for fugo’s character arc, I 100% recommend checking it out, there’s even audio book forms available with really good voice acting too.
So I need to say there's like a video of somebody talking about the entirety of purple Haze feedback they basically just read all of it and I listen to it and I got to say I like it
8:30 one time i heard people complain that his anime origin tried to put his anger issues in a good light, and i think they completely missed the point, imo that scene was trying to show the fact that fugo is just a regular Guy, sure hes had a pampered half of his childhood and he used to be pretty smart and he has severe anger issues, but hes not some raging murderer hes just a Guy with unfortunate predispositions, and of course his anger issues are going to pop up at more places than just the worst times, its something innate to him its part of his life and its a character flaw, its meant to cause strife and issues in his life such as doing the right thing the wrong way and getting unfair punishment
If you want to see more Fugo action, along with PHF i recomend Golden Heart, Golden Ring. It's a light novel which was written in the early 2000s and takes place during Golden Wind, and Fugo is a major part of it
The quote in question “There was one part in this fifth series I absolutely had to delete though. An episode I couldn’t write at all. In my head, the story went between Mista, Narancia, Fugo and Abbacchio, there would be a spy working for the boss and betray Giorno and Bucciarati. At first I had decided this traitor to be Fugo, but I couldn’t do it. My state of mind was so dark that the stories I wrote were becoming more and more evil, but in my heart I was starting to hate this behavior as time passed. Also, my heart broke just thinking about how Bucciarati would feel.”
It makes sense why in the anime they made him a victim in his backstory instead of a villain, since in the manga he was supposed to be the spy but was changed last minute because of Araki's depression
Btw I've read Jorge Joestar twice. I love this book, I seriously do. And PHF is genuinely fine, too, it's just that I do not enjoy part 5 as a whole. P.s. Jorge Joestar is simply the tornado of the author's imagination and his own metastyle established in his other books. For some reason you understand that this strange world he wrote abides his own rules, it's just that it is for some ungodly reason a JoJo book. Watch ID Invaded, the same scriptwriter and similar imagery and then try to look at Jorge while looking into its rules.
I'd absolutely love if you did a review of purple haze feedback. Reading it singlehandedly made Fugo go from one of the most forgettable characters in my eyes, to one of my favorites in the whole series.
PHF is awesome, but the fact that it needs to exist to begin with and that is not by Araki only proves how much of a failure Fugó was in the actual part 5.
The thought of Fugo actually being the result of mass hallucination, and never actually existing, is so damn funny...

5:55 i was NOT expecting for that comparision XDDD
Fugo could’ve not been a failure and instead be could’ve been a big help
Ngl fugo being my favorite character is hilarious
6:45
I FELT ANGRY FIRST TIME WATCHING THAT OMFG IT MADE MY BLOOD BOIL
DavidPro should've made a Purple Haze Feedback adaptation.
7:39 you lost the opportunity to call the professor raulzito
12:53 Fcking jumpscare, i am watching this at 2:11 am
Not gonna mention the interview where Araki says that Fugo was an allegory to Judas? From the "GioGio's Bizarre Adventure Strategy Guide"
Im gonna be real i watched this while high af and i have no clue what the fuck this video is about
fugo’s stand is pretty damn cool tho
It took you this long 😂 I missed your videos
Should have gotten a Fugo, Risotto team up, purple haze plus, Metallica would have been terrifying.
fugo exemplifies everything i dislike about part 5. his only action is being the end to the best fight in the part, and obviously abaccio was the main focus of that fight anyways. fugo and narancia, partners in pointlessness
honestly if araki was gonna scrap him
betraying passione anyway then why not just add a few scenes where he actually does something worthwhile. have him defeat someone singlehandedly or show the actual power of his stand so that him leaving has meaning and it doesnt just feel like araki forget to write him a character arc and just decided to drop him. i hate this part so much cause it really was perfect up until the end.
14:59 As an italian, I felt that
Wow i didn't know that purple haze feedback was not released in english. I am Italian so i read it im Italian obviously. Is worth reading just for having some more Fugo moments and character grows. The events of the story happens after part 5 and Fugo is forced by Mista tp track down and stop the drog dealer group of Passione. Wich still is active after the events of part 5.
Fugo had so little screen time that in all star battle to give him a full move set they needed to use material from purple haze feedback
13:37 risk of rain 2 music goes hard
New Chewiedog1 video dropped, not even Garfield Cart, MY RANKING: 0/10
3:30 panna cotta looks so good,, i can't believe you'd say that it looks disgusting ☹
it do be lookin' like the mozza of rella tho, but it don't taste like it. truly a food of traitors
I never knew that Fugo was meant to be a villian from the original plan, but knowing Araki, it didn't happened which surprised me
I appreciate the ace attorney music featured in this video
I really recommend checking out Jekyll & Hyde 5M as it did a pretty good job on expanding Fugo's manga personality without the whole pdfphile thing. Another one I would recommend is Judas Iscariot which follows the original plan of Fugo being a traitor.
? where can they be found
@@girlwithoneeyee you can find both in novel cool or alternatively mangadex too
I would very much be interested in PHF review.
Aww yeah what a wholsome guy 3:02
Did you know fugo was supposed to be a traitor? But araki found out that does not look gud so he get low screen time cuz he did not take care about it. And also its why in a moment of the serie its called traitor requiem?
Idk why but Fugo is actually one of my fav characters in the whole series :3
He's have my favorite stand, sad to not see him any further
I actually love feedback, because it feels a lot like a real story araki could tell, and a MUCH more natural conclusion for fugo’s character arc, I 100% recommend checking it out, there’s even audio book forms available with really good voice acting too.
6:56 No way he jus' named a woman "Francesco"- 💀
Fr 💀
12:09 is that willy
So I need to say there's like a video of somebody talking about the entirety of purple Haze feedback they basically just read all of it and I listen to it and I got to say I like it
Chewiedog reportedly made a video about fugo without reading purple haze feedback
8:30 one time i heard people complain that his anime origin tried to put his anger issues in a good light, and i think they completely missed the point, imo that scene was trying to show the fact that fugo is just a regular Guy, sure hes had a pampered half of his childhood and he used to be pretty smart and he has severe anger issues, but hes not some raging murderer hes just a Guy with unfortunate predispositions, and of course his anger issues are going to pop up at more places than just the worst times, its something innate to him its part of his life and its a character flaw, its meant to cause strife and issues in his life such as doing the right thing the wrong way and getting unfair punishment
when I see something about jojo I click immediately
6:36 among us
If you want to see more Fugo action, along with PHF i recomend Golden Heart, Golden Ring. It's a light novel which was written in the early 2000s and takes place during Golden Wind, and Fugo is a major part of it
when chewiedog uploads, I'm happy :D :3
i like the emotion in your voice, chewiedog

WILLY WAS THE GUY NARRATING THE QUOTE YOOOOOOO
The quote in question
“There was one part in this fifth series I absolutely had to delete though.
1:10 add the another second for the single panel from part 7
Bro gave me flashbacks with that eu4 music
This is a certified passione classic
Them having to execute him for being a traitor would of fucked me up if he stuck with that decision
I already know this is a banger
Btw I've read Jorge Joestar twice.
I love this book, I seriously do.
And PHF is genuinely fine, too, it's just that I do not enjoy part 5 as a whole.
P.s. Jorge Joestar is simply the tornado of the author's imagination and his own metastyle established in his other books. For some reason you understand that this strange world he wrote abides his own rules, it's just that it is for some ungodly reason a JoJo book.
Watch ID Invaded, the same scriptwriter and similar imagery and then try to look at Jorge while looking into its rules.
I love you Chewiedog1 please dont die
14:43 as an italian I see this as an huge win
What did mr. Anger issues do this time?
I'd absolutely love if you did a review of purple haze feedback. Reading it singlehandedly made Fugo go from one of the most forgettable characters in my eyes, to one of my favorites in the whole series.
I read purple haze feedback over the summer and it’s honestly so good. It ties up almost all the loose ends in part 5. Please consider reading it
PHF is awesome, but the fact that it needs to exist to begin with and that is not by Araki only proves how much of a failure Fugó was in the actual part 5.
15:55 wow hollow knight music
I see the chicanery u tried to slide in there like we wouldn’t notice
i appreciate the condolences man, ty
Let's GOOOOOOOO, the goat is back
i hope we get a hollow knight video eventually
you cant hide using 10 tracks from the ost in every video and get away with it
5:36 does anyone else hear ANGEL ATTACK right here?
But what about Purple Haze Feedback? Fugo did give us that!
That’s what happens when you go through all the trouble of manifesting a supernatural punchy ghost and it can’t even help you escape the backrooms
