  • The long awaited video follow up on what Cara Brotman eats in a day. To most people, it's not exciting, but the payoff speaks for itself. Cara does not feel she is denying herself anything- she actually CRAVES her two favorite things- a huge monster salad and her favorite raw vegan "cookie dough" (not really dough). At first many people wonder how she can get enough calories or protein- but once you add up the numbers- it's actually quite a bit! Chickpeas (Garbanzo beans), lentils and nuts are LOADED with protein and calories. Check out the nutritional breakdown numbers below. Also check out the amazing cookbook www.HealthyCookbook.com that shows healthy raw plant-based versions of the world's most favorite meals. Green formula, Protein formula, zero calorie healthy sugar www.MarkusProducts.com
    Cara's TOTAL per day
    2,500 - 3,800 calories (RDA for women is 2,000)
    100- 150 g protein (minimum RDA is 50g)
    100- 250 g healthy fats
    Cara’s typical daily Salad 1800 calories, 94 g protein, 85 g healthy fats

    1 teaspoon fresh rosemary
    1 fresh green onion chopped
    1/2 red onion

Her skin, body everything looks like a 25 year old. It's in the tiny details. Don't get fooled by the fact she likes to play around with make up 😅 Skin tone, muscle, hands, neck , eyes. It's in the tiny details, when you know it's authentic. And thanks to her I am not scared anymore of ageing because now I know it's in my hands. I adore these 2 humans and this channel. Thank you 🌱♥️

Yes, indeed! Down to earth! That makes it all so appealing and inviting. Had always loved fresh ginger in my food, but am now realizing that I can chop it up just as one would chop up a carrot, and add it in the food. Tastes so good! Such a vibrant taste and accent. Thank you Cara for being my inspiration at this time. Am age 75, and have been eating raw for 13 years.

I just made this salad. OMG, it's a lot to eat. I could only eat maybe a third of it! Just wanted to say it was as delicious as it looks on camera, but whoa, I'll make a much smaller serving next time. Going to have the cookie dough as a second meal later. Just wanted to see if it was enough food and wow, it's way too much. LOL And you're right, you have a lot of energy from a salad like that. I could eat like this every day I think because you can change the taste a bit with different greens and legumes and raw dressings or even a little fresh fruit. I'm wild about raw food, but not so wild about salads until I made this one. It's great!

Bless your hearts Cara and Marcus!!! Will try this for my husband who is a standard diet eater and very ill. . he always thought my raw food diet was bland and tasteless. . Maybe I can help heal him by ramping up all the flavors you include here. . . Many blessings. .. now I am hopeful as I don't want to lose him after 36 years together.

Who cooks his food? If it’s you maybe you could start by removing the oil (in case you use it) lowering the amount of salt and putting some lemon instead. Removing any kind of dairy, etc. and in the morning giving him fruits or a more palatable green juice on empty stomach.

Here's what I do: I use white vinegar and water solution, put the fruit or veggie in a bowl. Let it soak for 10 mins. You may want to use a veggie scrubber if it needs a good scrubbing like potatoes. Then I rinse thoroughly with water.

Cara, you are such an inspiration! I love to eat a huge salad everyday, and since I am naturally a slow eater, it takes me forever to finish it! By your example, I plan to eat a variety of greens in my salads, so thank you! I wish I could go as long as you without eating, but I am hungry by 11 am and sometimes earlier, but I try to wait until noon before I eat. I look forward to your next videos!

Oh amazing!! I love the vid, thank you... I can see you love nature. Nice advice, eliminate those plastic bags touching your greens, they would love to be with a wet papel towel covering the roots and some herbs you can even put them in a glass with a bit of water (still inside the fridge) we do this in the restaurant industry and veggies and herbs stay super fresh and never get mushy from being in plastic bags... I hope you do it and see the huge difference. Lots of greetings
