The performance is beautiful ! Played with lots of emotion, dynamics and superb phrasing. Unfortunately the microphone picks up a lot of heavy breathing which disturbs the performance imo. Wondering whether another mic would solve that problem because I hear it sometimes too with other classical guitar players.
It looks like Alice Artzt's arrangement. I'd recommend arranging it in E Minor for an eight string guitar, and performing it with a capo on the third fret to get to the original key of G Minor. That removes much of the difficulty.
@@gilbert6023 Because if you arrange it in E Minor you have to put a capo on the third fret to have it sound in G Minor, and I think this piece sounds much better in G Minor than in E Minor. Also, with this approach you don't have to learn a new tuning.
@@seankasabuske1986 OK, i See. And is the Capo for Bass Strings too, or are they Open. Are the Bass Strings tuned different for this piece in g Minor with Capo ?? Just a question. How IS the 8 String guitar tuned anyway ??? Cheers
@@gilbert6023 Yes, the capo is placed across all strings. I misspoke a little in that the third string is tuned to F# like on a Renaissance lute. I don't remember how I tuned the two deepest bass strings, but I think the second lowest was tuned to D and the lowest to either A or B (I'm pretty sure it was B). BTW, in a moment of foolishness I sold my eight-string guitar, and I could kick myself for that! If I want to play this piece then I either have to buy another eight-string guitar or work it out on my seven-string guitar, which will be more challenging, and I'll never play it as well as Jinsae Kim does in the video.
This is an incredibly beautiful piece. I hadn't known it before, even though I've been playing the guitar for 30 years.
This is the best performance of Weiss Chaconne I'v ever heard. Very beautiful and elegant.
Lovely performance with great emotional depth.
Très belle interprétation spirituelle, merci.
I want to see more of Jinsae Kim!

wow..you look like young Andres Segovia especially your "Segovia" eye glasses
Beautiful
gracias por seguir haciendo eterno a Weiss

Can anyone tell me what arrangement is he playing? His own maybe?
