I'm always looking for first time reactions to Liliac . They are the best because they kinda have low expectations because they are a family band , are young and are about to do a song that you think they would struggle with . Then the band cranks up and melody starts to wail . The looks on reactors faces is something special . As you will see they have a very large fan base . Keep rolling with Liliac and we will roll with you .

Liliac is totally independent, they write, produce, arrange all their own music, papa liliac their dad films their videos, Sam the guitar player edits them. This is some of their earlier stuff. They released a couple of albums of original music after this. They just get better. Abby the drummer plays double bass now, first shown off in their single "Nothing" which is an original by them. They're so much better than most out there today it's criminal.
I just love to see a new reaction to Liliac, I discovered them when they were young doing "Wild Thing" when they were the Cristeas (their last name) and have watched them grow ever since. Their covers are phenomenal, and their originals are fantastic. As your new subscriber I hope to watch you go down the Liliac rabbit hole, you will be so impressed. This was 6yrs ago if i am not mistaken...These kids/siblings are all virtuosos. WoW just checked out the band The Warning, Very good. As a musician, they are not the caliber of LILIAC. But very catchy, i dig the Warning..
You have to check out "Master of Puppets" they kill it, Melody is one of the most powerful singers for her age since Janis. Also check out Dear Father, and Sail Away. Them and The Warning need to do a tour!!

Their music is called Vamp Rock because their parents are from Romania and their father grew up not too far from Dracula's castle. Also, Liliac is Romanian for Bat.
Melody is a DIO Prodigy.. She has the best voice in rock.

"These vocals are amazing." Yes they are amazing and your only scratching the surface. There have been many a comparison but Melody is her own uniqueness. The whole band for that matter is pretty damn good.
This "Mars" live in Cumming Ga is a great intro to them. It shows you them in their element, live on stage and each one gets a chance to shine.
Please continue on this journey of Liliac, you won't be disappointed.

Melody is NOT "her own uniqueness". While she definitely has an outstanding voice, she seems to want to overplay her Ronnie James Dio schtick at every opportunity. Therefore, she's not original by any means.
The other band members are good musicians, BUT, as a whole, their original songwriting is subpar at best. They seem to be more concerned with being so-called 'rock stars' than being serious musicians FIRST. They're all flash and no TRUE musical depth or substance. At this point, they can't touch The Warning in that regard.
To me, Liliac is simply a glorified cover band for the most part. I hope they soon make the wise choice and shift their focus away from the 'rock star' trip. Removing the control of their father's misguided influence would be a good start.

They are bringing back the "glam" and theatrical rock music in every performance. They are the next generation of rock and metal. I want them to have a full lp and tour as a headline band....oh, yes, this will happen.

You have to check out Not afraid live extended version. Melody's vocal range is out of this world.

I think that you would really enjoy checking out their cover of Iron Maidens The Trooper. It's from the Sandman era when Melody was still playing bass. 12 year old Ethan kills it!

That makes 2 of us. I saw them at the very beginning of their Moonlight Tour in February 2022.

They also covered Queen's We will Rock You and We are the Champions at that show. Nailed it.

The only thing I can say is they're Awesome! Their covers of The Last In Line and 7 Nation Army rock! Their originals like Sail Away ( Rock Ballad ) Nothing, Dear Father and Mystery are some great songs. There is a live version of one of their new releases called Carousel filmed in Great Falls Mt. that will blow your mind at the end of the song...highly recommend.

They Enter sandman was back in 2018 and the MARS was back in 2021, 3 yrs apart. Melody is almost strickly lead vocals now.

Liliac (Lilly-AK) is an Independent band of siblings. This was their 1st USA Tour in 2019, they are starting up their 4th USA Tour this year.
Current Ages and Instruments- Samuel (Lead guitar, 23), Abigail (Drums 22), Melody (Lead vocals, 21), Ethan (Bass guitar, 16) Justin (Keys, 15).

They just released excerpts from a live show on CD and DVD from 2021. All originals. From that, I would highly recommend Vertigo. For some vocal gymnastics, try on "Not Afraid" extended version. They open all of their shows with it. An original where Melody just WAILS. For some concept videos, try "Dear Father", "Mystery", "We are the Children" - and try any of their covers. My fave is the DIO cover, "The Last In Line". Dio's widow actually asked them to cover it. They have an EP and full album (Queen of Hearts) and are working on another album of originals. Saw them live last summer. They were fantastic, but the acoustics and sound system were horrid. I can't wait to hear them again - hopefully at a better venue. BTW - my favorite modern bands are Liliac and Jinjer - so you are now my favorite reactor!
Forgot to mention "NOTHING" - made in their apartment during the pandemic! It is an awesome video about love lost - it just rocks.

The Enter Sandman cover is quite good and displays what for me is their biggest selling point. Their enthusiasm and love of music. Yeah they're quite good musicians and have only gotten better, but that excitement is infectious. Mars is a great song and it shows their creativity in songwriting, which has only improved as well. Great reaction!

i notice you compare them to the warning, i find that highly appropriate both are amazing young bands with high energy and mind blowing vocales.
Liliac first popped onto my radar with a cover of Dio's Rainbow in the Dark, since then I've watched them grow in ability and range. I kicked in on their kickstarter for Queen of Hearts and have their album Chain of Thorns (Signed CD) as well. Ethan has since taken over on Bass letting Melody focus on vocals although personally for me I wish she had kept up with the bass leaving Ethan on Rhythm as he can really rock that out, still it was their decision and they know what they are doing while I don't. Abigail is such fun to watch playing the drums she is always so happy and full of joy. Sam is incredibly skilled on guitar and if you can back far enough you can hear he has a great voice when he sang a duet with Melody when she was only 12. Justin is really young here but he has really grown since then. Liliac is a great band and well worth diving into.
Liliac has great potential. They all are accomplished and excellent musicians. Melody's voice is incredible. Sam can thrash his guitar with the best of them. They are a great cover band and have some good original songs, but they haven't completed the transition to a stand-alone original band. As their songwriting skills improve, they will be able to reduce or eliminate the covers they perform at live shows.

The warning army twats are worse
If you listen closely you can hear the keys doing mostly long chords. It sounds a bit like the organ in a southern baptist church or the organ tone used at baseball games. You would definitely notice the difference if it wasn't there at all. It just gives a bit more fullness to the song.

They are awesome. Melody has a unique voice and by the way she cut her hair last year. She doesn't play the base anymore . Sam is an Amazing guitar player and Abigail on the drums and she hot engaged ate lat year. Melody turned 21 in December

Okay, you've stuck to covers, and they're excellent at them (clearly), but you need to listen to some of their originals, too. If you want to really get a feel for their development, try watching these four: Crazy Train cover at Santa Monica Pier (Justin was 8 or 9), then do Mars (original done live in Cummings, GA... good feel for their own version of metal and a chance to see their stage presence and Sam's incipient guitar godhood), Not Afraid (another original example of their vamp metal and the high Mel hits in the opening must have had dogs three counties away tilting their heads), and close with Sail Away (a change of pace original which I promise will surprise you and make you smile, like, a lot!).
