Notes On Installation: The front sway bar is a lot easier than the rear and can definitely be done on your own. I used some ramps from home depot ($50) and a 3/8th torque wrench to remove the bottom bolts on the underbody cover and the bottom sway bar mounts. To remove the bar from the endlinks youll need either a airgun or you can use a regular wrench(I forget the size so bring a bunch or an adjustable one). If you use the wrench youll also need a hex key set to hold the endlink in place while you twist off the sway bar, otherwise youll spin the bolt and the nut together and it wont come off. Once you have the bar off use some marine grease generously on the bushing to prevent squeaks when the bar moves. Aside from that the eibach install instructions are pretty clear and it shouldnt take longer than a couple of hours to remove and reinstall. 100% worth it.
G70 owner here and I said this exact thing in a group page and everyone said wider tires. Basically called me an idiot for telling them this should be their first mod for their vehicle. Glad someone else believes the same idea.
This is straight facts man! I installed both about two weeks ago and did my first canyon run and it is how the car should have been out of the factory. I would say second mod is get rid of the shitty stock front brake pads to avoid vibration and pulsating.
Dealership just swapped put my rotors and pads with the European spec ones a week ago. No vibrations so far but we’ll see. Supposedly the European pads arent going to cause vibrations.
@@SSH939 it was covered under warranty. Took a little arguing but they finally admitted that theres a service bulletin and that they would cover it for free. If the dealership gives some pushback call kia corporate and start a case. The corporate team will reach out to the service manager of your dealership and get the process going.
@@JulianWithAnX I might need to do this. My dealer has already been a hassle to deal with but I just might reach out to corporate today to get that ball rolling. But my service center already was a pain to deal with when it came to the recall
Agreed. I installed front and rear Eibach sway bars a few months ago on my ‘21 GT1 AWD. The bars are on the soft setting. Massive improvement when corning near the limit. With stock sway bars, the rear can feel unsettled when corning and you hit a bump. Felt like the rear skipped sideways. With the Eibach bars, the car is much more planted and the unsettled behavior is gone. Highly recommend this upgrade.
It's refreshing to hear that some car people still have some common sense; upgrading a car's handling is a proof of intelligence these days. A better sway bar is definitely a good choice for this car, plus some better brake pads and rotors, 18 inch wheels with wider tires up front would be a must for me!
I agree the stinger has a lot of uncontrolled body roll at high speed especially at 150mph, Def going to be doing major suspension work on mine due to lack of confidence at high speed. I was thinking of KW V3 coils and front/rear sway, plus chassis bracing.
I ordered the eibach kit with the front and rear sway bars, sway bar bushings, and lowering springs. With 20 mil spacers front and rear. I can’t wait to install them. No jb4 for me but probably intakes, the hks sparkplugs, and a muffler delete, possibly the intercooler im still on the fence. I got a 2022 GT1 rwd. 😈
Added a bunch of nice stuff to the 2022 congrats broski. Only thing id warn on the muffler delete is the drone. Some guy on youtube did it and he was getting a bit of rattling too. Make sure u grease the rear sway bar well lol
@@JulianWithAnX but as for drone, I’m used to it, I had an Acura integra back in the day with intake, dc headers, 2.5inch pipe all the way into a 3 inch apexi “muffler” super loud. It used to set off car alarms, super loud drone on the highway. I didn’t mind because it’s sounded so good. lol 😂
Does the sway bar help to keep to car in a straight line. I have 2022 stinger gt2 and I feel like u always have to make adjustments to keep the car in a straight line.
You are 100% correct sir... I was shocked at how poor my new Stinger handled versus my previous Alfa Giulia.. Became very disillusioned. Until!... Have you installed Eibach Pro kit springs? Am pondering doing so.
Hell yeah added to the shopping list, so question to all yins when you first start it cold do your guys stinger sound like it has a valve tick then within the matter of seconds its goes away once the idle drops to 1k?
@@JulianWithAnX sweet I saw somewhere that they are suppose to sound like that just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one thank you for the reply if your out of warranty id definitely look into an oil catch can
Yes mine does the same. I thought it was because when you 1st start the car the oil hasn't flown threw the cylinder head yet so something in the head (valves, rockers, etc....) is ticking. But in a min or two the oil makes it there and the tick goes away. Actually when I 1st start my car I wait a few sec then give it a little gas and it goes away right away.
Rear sway bar: In the quick picture (00:35) in this video you showed the rear sway bar setup. Did you ever try the other hole. My understanding is the way you have it here is a softer setting, but more stiff that the factory bar, and the rear hole would be an even stiffer feeling. What led you to install it in with the hole you selected? BTW nice job at the track. We have one hear in SC which I plan to use next spring. Cant wait
I just had Eibach sway bars installed with Lucas marine grease. Everything seemed great now with about 300 miles on them I’m experiencing some loud clunking noise. Seems to be coming from the front. Any suggestions on what might be happening?
Did you ever find a solution to this? I’m having the same issue now, I used superpro endlinks and lowered on eibach springs as well. Not sure if you change the end links or kept the stock ones but plz let me know
Depends on if youre looking for power or just appearance mods. The best place to start is the k8stingerstore. Browese all their products and youll get an idea of what’s available and what you can buy.
Aside from the stiffer turning i cant really remember the difference in day to day driving. I guess thats to say that its not going to make the driving jittery or unbearable or anything.

I put the Ark Performance sway bars in mine and I felt the same way after install. Such a drastic difference

Does it lean at all after ? Is there a difference between yours and his?
