Special efforts should be made by the governments, to ensure the Brahmins enjoy a respectable standard of living in the society. Brahmin advisors should be appointed in all Government, semi- government and other organisations/departments. 10. The Christian Britishers outlawed many of our centuries old religious and social customs and practices under the guise of equality (of all communities), women's liberation, rule of law, democracy, universal education etc. But their intention was to spread their religion. We need to seriously think about this and see what we can do to bring back our lost glory. 11. It is believed the Missionaries created the synthetic language Hindi to accomplish their nefarious designs. Hence, throw away Hindi and make Sanskrit the official language of Bharat. 12. Let us make it a people's movement, under the leadership of the Deshbakths and saints, to get this message across to all our country men. Those who support my views please give a like 👍

They had their own cricket team and we used to play against them regularly! Actor Andrea Jeremiah is from Arkonam. Her dad Jeremiah is a Senior Advocate in Madras High Court. Many of the families migrated to Australia. Anglio Indians are very friendly people!
"I recently came across this video about the Ango-Indians in Chennai and I have to say, it was really interesting to learn about their culture and way of life. It's amazing to see how they have preserved their unique identity and traditions over the years, despite facing challenges and discrimination. I was particularly impressed by their love for music and dance, and how they have incorporated it into their daily lives. It's also heartwarming to see how they have formed a close-knit community and support each other through thick and thin. This video was not only informative but also inspiring, and it's important to celebrate and appreciate the diversity of our country. Kudos to the filmmaker for shedding light on this lesser-known community and their livings in Chennai."

It is very sad that depletion of Anglo Indian population is on the increase. One reason is that many want to migrate foreign countries especially to Australia. To my knowledge, their concetration was in Royapuram and Perambur area and their population was sizeable and mostly employed in Railways. Attraction to European culture is one of the reasons for their migration.
No! fear of persecution is the main reason. Indians ill-treat their fellow Christian followers as Ricebag converts and spies of Vatican. Imagine what Anglo-Indians fate would be if they had stayed in India. The only reason they are left alone is that their population is dwindled to a level that they are almost invisible to our eyes.

8. The Puranas and Idhihasas are the glorious history of our nation. Let us teach it to the children in our schools and colleges, so that they are proud of their heritage. The character and life history of our gods like Shiva, Bhramma, Vishnu etc. should be taught to the children to inculcate moral, ethical values right from their childhood.
9.Our nation can prosper, only if the Brahmins are looked after well.
12. Let us make it a people's movement, under the leadership of the Deshbakths and saints, to get this message
across to all our country men.

When I was a school kid, in Silverpet about 300 families lived. There was British built Railway Institute ( Recreation Centre near loco) which was very vibrant! Now it's in dilapidated condition.
I had anglo Indian teachers in the early 90s . They are very nice people who had very little .

Anglo Indians should be protected. They have been given opportunities to settle in Canada, Australia, NewZealand, and other English speaking countries Most of them were teachers. There are Anglo Indian schools. Government of TamilNadu used to have Anglo Indian MLA appointed representative for Anglo Indians. As their number dwindled I do not know why Government has stopped appointing Anglo Indian MLA. Honorable Chief Minister Mr. Stalin sir please do something. They are mostly from Tamil origin.
Yes , you're correct .In Railways , there were many Anglo- Indian drivers , Guards , Officers , Firemen , Diesel Assts and technical staff , Section controllers Power controllers till 1990 .After that the number of Anglo -Indians dwindled . In Railway in Madurai division last Anglo ,'Indian shunting driver was in 2012 . He was Lopez Glen Cedric who died in 2011 .After that , there is not a single Anglo-Indian in Railways in Madurai division .

Chennai had many Anglo Indian schools, and few schools in Trichy and Coimbatore, previously all these schools had Anglo Indian syllabus and separate AI board exams for 10 th Standard, after that students moved to state government syllabus for 11th and 12th std. Many anglo-indian students failed in tamil exams and during early 80's French language was introduced as 2nd language for the benefit of these AI students, many of my schoolmates are now mainly settled in Australia, all Nostalgia..

There used to be a slightly mocking/derogatory term-'Ding'-that was used to refer to Anglo-Indians in Tamil Nadu, until the 1990s.
A Tamil word that was used to refer to Anglo-Indian women was 'sattai-kaari' (சட்டை க்காரி), and it too was a derogatory term.
